The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Ico- Its more a 'We don't ever plan to go to war...' Its an idealist statement which is supposed to provoke peace and harmony....

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Well its a plan....I just need a name for it and so I want to call it the Cabbigas-Russian Minister name Pact in tradition with the Kellogg-Briand Pact, where I got the idea from.

The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Ico- Any war at all...Its basically saying 'Look, we don't believe that war is ever a good idea and we renounce ever resorting to it' Self-defence is obviously fine though....Its a symbolic agreement more than anything, if you break it nothing bad happens...well except people tut. =P Mather!!!!!!! You are mad! Totally mad! Inflation will destroy your country! Sorry to hear about Prom...I think I didn't go to mine because I knew that the guy I liked wasn't going so there wasn't a whole lot of point...

On the lighter side I have finally tied the string around my chair and the table, so I should stop getting so irritable after the first half hour. =P- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Ico, what about the treaty? Stay Tuned for a Swiss Public Address Broadcast.... Switzerland begins operation Solar Furnace. The plan is to create nine satalites in orbit, six of which will reflect sunlight to the main three, which will focus sunlight to a facility in Swizerland, near Basel, on the Rhine. A massive concave dome has been built over the area, with a large hole in(at about 47 degrees elevation) where the first solar beam will be focused. The water will be boiled, then condense on the dome, running down the sides, and collecting at the bottom, where it will be dropped vertically down a 3 KM shaft containing a number of turbines. At the bottom of said shaft there will be a trough between this chamber and the next chamber. The next chamber will have another 3KM shaft to the Surface. This second shaft will be capped with a slanted transparent covering and entrance to another chamber and the second solar beam will be focused on the shaft, heating the cavern of water, evapourating it, and then again condensing it in the third chamber, out of the direct solar beam. This cavern will lead to another 3 KM shaft, which will have another cavern at the bottom, connected to another caven again, with a final 3 KM shaft. This final shaft opens to the surface, allowing the water vapour to return to the ecosystem. This has a side effect of the Rhine being dried up or depleted, and Switzerland is willing to provide compensation to Germany, France and the Netherlands for this. This plan will come into effect in 2 years(4 days(2nd of Feb) and is costing 70% of the Swiss Budget for those two years. However the output is sufficent to power Switzerland indefinately, as well as supply a surplus, for free, to Lichtenstein, and to export to France, Italy, Germany or Austria.(I haven't worked out their energy requirements, if it is small enough then I will provide free energy to France and Germany for stealing their River...though it is my river...technically) 1 Kg of Water = 1/100th of a Cubic Meter of Water 2000 M^3/s(speed of the Rhine) * 100 = 200,000 Kilograms of Water/second 200,000 Kg * 6,000(Drop length) = 1,200,000,000 Newtons = 1,200,000,000 Joules 1,200,000,000 * 31,536,000 (Seconds in a year) = 37,843,200,000,000,000 Joules Swiss Energy requirement of 60 Billion kWh = 216,000,000,000,000 Joules per year Thus Switzerland currently has a surplus of 175.2%. 1% of that is being diverted to CERN(in 2 years) to cut expenditure on the PA projects by 90%. That is all.- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Icownage, how would you feel about signing a pact prohibiting the use of war as "an instrument of national policy"?- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I thought everyone's did... But usually if people want to talk about stuff on forums they just talk about stuff, then people can choose to read it or not, rather than having to ask.... I think that is a realistic time scale. Its more a matter of vocabulary... English can describe things with more detail than most other languages, without over complicating it with mascline and femine words, instead using lexigraphy and phonetic reasoning to construct sentances which sound pleasant to the ear. Rather, say, French with is long 'errrrrrs' dotted about sentances while they think how to phrase something....Seriously, sounds like a motor. =P But anyway, the point is that English is merely a good language to use because of its massive vocab and relatively simple rules when speaking (Writing is a different matter)- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
More diverse syntax as well... God we're good. Oh....No....The...Space...Station...Blew...Up....I...Guess...We...Will...NEVER...Go....Into....Space...Now. Switzerland discovers a new atomspheric layer which is even better at bouncing signals back to Earth than the Ionosphere, or Satalites!(Somehow....Plot Hole...) And therefore no longer needs satalites, and thus shuts down all space stuff.(If not then it shuts down all the space stuff anyway so that it doesn't blow up when the flare hits) Also Yellow Stone National Park(in the USA) shows signs to preparing to erupt as a super volcano. Switzerland begins extra hard research into massive particle shields, but the research will take until 2017(So 10 days) which might be too late! Switzerland also shows signs of developing a new máy bay tiêm kích phản lực and a Máy bay phản lực capable of khí quyển tái nhập cảnh.- Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Thats it I am giving up the reigns of moderatorship. The ZPM and the 30,000 Ships a year is like the atom bomb and the military/industrial complex....There is no way he can't win...I think even if he blew up some of his own planets he could still wipe the floor so....It has just got pointless now to pretend to give people a chance.- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
His fleet was warped out of Kajea and Sol to Sinabo about 4 days ago. Not really...Ross probably isn't planning to blow himself up, just the space around him. And its more to stop me having to calculate battles which can only really go one way.... Ha! We are using Wikipedia as our fountain of knowladge, and our collective knowladge of the world as the basis for continuing the modern world....We are all acting like we know what we are talking about...when really we just think we do. I just tend to be more self-confident because I have the collective knowladge of millions of hours of reading text books, watching documentaries and thinking about the world....And not drinking, which probably helped a lot in confidence building...no Dutch Courage for me. I agree Dusty, but from the last Hegemony I know that typically the entire population was armed with guns and sent to kill everyone and everything, so I think there needs to be some ruling on that.- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00q2mk5/Chemistry_A_Volatile_History_Discovering_the_Elements/ A Phospher Rifle has the potential to fire moderately powered bullets...probably about the same sort of stopping power as a hand gun....but when you have a choice between sticks and Phospher Rifles you might as well take the gun.- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Urine. Phospher Rifle.- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Switzerland begins work on a new sanitation system. Switzerland begins work on a new rifle. The Rifle will be given to countries who need cheap armaments which don't need expensive ammunition.- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Fair enough. I vote for China to win, but recieve heavy losses. And there are no guarentees Malyasia will keep its word...obviously.- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I see...So you are invading, killing the Indians, then leaving again?- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
I am still siding with Maylasia...Even if China were to occupy the area the resistance would kill them eventually. (Paul, I agree)- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
So 2/2 currently(not including Rocco, since he could technically vote against himself)- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malaysian_Armed_Forces 4,574,854 people in Malaysia are fit for service...- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Plus Rocco's defenders....- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Sinabo was where Dusty lost most of his fleet....- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Group moderation time then... Does China, with 1 million troops, beat Maylasia with 5.4 million trained individuals(How many are in service, 244,000 ) and 500,000 Indian troops. I vote defenders win.- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Fair enough.- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Sere, in truth working it out is largely pointless...Dusty is extremely overpowered and will win regardless. Ross' actions are fine by me. Oh, Dusty won on Earth.- The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
Grim- Interesting stuff... - The Hegemony (12th Feb = 2018, Part 2)
