Once I hit a 100k reward or more I'm satisfied. 100k for 15-20mins of running around and making puzzles seems ok to me. It's not the world, but at least you feel you don't lose money for your runes etc...
Once I hit under 100k I sigh (most of the times ;) ) and when it's under 50k I swear for a second or three, then returning to slaying :)

Alright, I'm convinced that I'm about the only one who is not having problems with bots. And I'm a guy who fights monsters A LOT, and I really mean a lot.
When I fight monsters, I can always fight them no problem.
But I still think it's not easy to tell whether someone is a bot or a legitimate player. Because like someone else pointed out, there are plenty of skills that require you to do the same things over and over again, and just because someone is doing that for hours doesn't mean they're bots, more likely it means that person has a lot of free time on their hands.
I think this is funny coming from someone with slayer in 70's and not even maxed cb. I myself think I fight alot, although I'm only 96 slayer.
And yes there is a huge problem, but less for the higher leveled players. I just do blue dragons at Kura's cave, so bots can't bother me there and I don't get green or red dragons as tasks.
Once I get nechs the problem starts though, in chaos tunnels & in slayer tower the place is packed with bots.
Leveling skilling skills is a major pain at certain spots. I need red chins to get my ranged to 99 but it's simply impossible to get a decent success rate at the hunt spots due to at least 2-3 bots
attracting the chins... Then people tell me, go hunt jadinko's: way better XP. Agreed but certain people (like me) don't mind losing a little XP if you gain items/cash with it. Because in the end,
you will need money for certain skills (herblore, pray, con, sum...)
Bots annoy the hell out of me and it annoys me even more that I see the same ****ing bots day after day even after reporting them multiple times a day...
What's the use of making reporting easier if the banning/rollbacks don't happen???

Maybe if you bought more spins, Jagex would give you a better reward.
If this was Facebook I would have clicked the 'like'-button.
OT: I've done 235 hard clues so far (got screenshots of every reward, so yes 235 exact) and I've seen the value of the items drop month after month.
Most stuff can be sold for the alch-value where in the past the value was estimated higher.
There is light in the darkness though: I did an elite clue some months back and got a black dragon mask + some stuff totalling at 11mil value.
This isn't supergood, but still 11mil for 30minutes of running around is neat imo :) Just try to enjoy the clues, try to improve the way you do them, so you
get the reward in the fastest possible way. I like clues, but once I hit 250 I'll stop. Imo it ain't worth it anymore and I just wanna hit the 250 clues to make statistics
about average duration before getting the reward & average reward value... Good luck

Thx for this awesome guide. I am melee maxed & got 126 crimsons in 1hour + about 400k profit if I would have sold the bones (I keep em to grind for herblore)

I've been playing in a fixed screen on low settings for the last 6 months, and still only getting 14-20fps.
Now it's the first time since botnuke my FPS has jumped back to 45-55 and settings are at highest DX mode.
I love it, finally playing fullscreen again...

sigh, how many times does it need to be said? The people who make new content are not the same people that fix things like lag and FPS.
Now this is total bullocks, essiw... Don't waste your frikkin time on useless posts? Jagex is responsible for the game content, for the financial side, for the technical side and for the customer support.
So no matter who's appointed to do what in-game, it's Jagex' duty to make sure everyone gets what they payed for. I just registered for 6 months at once in December and I can't even play decently!
That's one month of member fee thrown away since I can only do things that don't require running around: like slayer tasks or making potions etc. Hunting penguins, runecrafting or questing is a major pain in the ...
(agreed RC & quests are always a pain in the bottom, but still).

Tried all of this and it still doesn't get above 12FPS... I dunno what Jagex changed (this can't be due to the botnuke only I think) but it seriously messed up the game for the majority of the players. RAAAAAAAGH :wall:

I'm getting so tired of playing Runescape with this lag. I never ever go above 20FPS anymore, mostly I'm around 7-10'ish.
This all started since bot nuke and hasn't improved alot tbh. I thought the new client would solve things, but in fact I'm still suffering intense lag.
I checked the official forums and they're working on it. Sigh, bot nuke was in November and we're almost February now.
I own a very decent gaming pc on which I run other heavier MMORPG's without any problem. I even play online shooters on the best possible
graphics/details so I don't get why a simple JAVA based game can't be run decently...
Stop the updates and make sure everyone can play again, so we can at least enjoy the new content ffs!

Ok ok, I get the point but keep this ontopic. It's not a discussion whether the minigame is usefull. I just noticed there were bots and I am surprised nobody reacts to that part of the post.
I mean: share info ffs. Did you notice bots in other parts of rs (that were actually working) I saw some lame color bots already trying to fish etc, but they got stuck all the time...

I just passed by sorceress garden and around 20-30 L3's there running around (some stuck others working well...)
I reported every single one of them, let's hope that alarms Jagex to shutdown the stupid minigame nobody plays...

Since I've been around here for ages I think people can take my word on it they will actually get the payment lol...

Didn't know how else to get my boost. Seems we don't have the boosts (yet) in our clan citadel. Yet I got two effigies that require summoning and I'd love to get that XP myself.
Anyone willing to escort me into their citadel to get me the boosts?

I guess I'll have to wait doing quests/rc'ing & other stuff that requires running around :(
Anyway, I'm slaying a bit atm. Wonderfull to be able to do nechryaels without having to move to chaos tunnels!

I'm suffering terrible lag. Very strange since my ping is really low (15ms on the world I'm playing atm) I only get around 19-20fps.
Some people in clan only get 5fps, so that's even worse. Very strange, my pc is a gaming pc & my internet is 8MB Dsl, so the problem at Jagex obviously isn't fixed yet.
Before I couldn't play decently due to bots, now I can't play decently since the removal of bots. How ironic :)

I don't understand what your point is. Why complain here that you aren't wealthy enough (at the moment) to buy a new pc.
I crashed my graphics card a few weeks back and had to install the 3D card from my old pc, a geforce 7 series. Now I play very laggy and can't even play full screen.
Monday or tuesday my new card arrives. Should I blame Jagex too, my game ain't running smoothly?
Seriously people should complain less and enjoy life a bit more...

I dice alot, always in the same cc and mostly to the same hosts. I've never been scammed. You know why? Because scamming my couple of millions would ruin their future investments.
The more street credibility they get, the higher ranked they get; meaning they are allowed to host bigger bets, meaning their 10% of the won amount gets increased time over time.
Don't flame people because you disagree...

I don't see why they should remove the dice back. I've spent (won and lost) millions of gp in a nice dicing cc in W56.
Never been scammed, yet you know it's 60% chance you lose. That's all u have to keep in mind, apart from that it's great fun :)

- You can now right-click on a player's name, or a line of their chat, to report them. This will make it easier to do and will help eliminate errors in reporting botters with hard to spell names. This can be enabled through the in-game options screen.
- The "Report Player" button will now open a summary of recent chat, so you can easily select the part you're referring to.
- If you're in a dangerous area and you need to report a player using bots or bugs to their advantage, you can now log out and send a report from the lobby.

+1 didn't even see that yet. Awesome news. It's something I've started a topic about some years back in suggestions here on tip.it, because all those botters used names like "fghj21dfghj" or "1lIilILlI1llIi"
which made it very annoying to actually report a player :(
