All armour prices are dropping. Go try buy a bandos item, your get it for under its middle price. Same for barrows. Everyone is selling their armour for items to skill. Personally, I can't decide how to spend the first hours, probably going to try get the charms needed for 73-88 summon this week, then get it in the first hour of x2.7

I agree with what you said, and I also played in classic times when it was rare to see a level 70+ Let alone a 100+. But although people can do all different things now, its also becoming runescapes downfall.

Although I still haven't got a tattoo, if I bulk out a little through the gym, I may get something on my ribs aswell. (I can't believe this thread is still alive!)

I think people misunderstood what I ment by classes. Some skills would still be open to all classes. You wouldn't just have Woodcutters, then miners, etc. I was thinking classes in terms of combat. Also there would be more classes than the 3 there is at the moment, so there would still be diversity. I thought that SOME skills would tie in with there classes (like my example of theiving and assasins), but this wouldn't mean that all classes would miss out on different skills, for example... fishing and cooking could be used by all classes, as they all use combat... see what I mean?

Well, they'd have to create special skills for each class, so melee might have some similar to veng. And about the quest bosses, etc... obviously they would change them so they weren't impossible. With different classes, you could have instances, and each class would be useful in its own way, etc, etc. Also if anything God sword prices would drop.

I'm not sure it being difficult to balance is such a good thing really. Mage is way off being anywhere to contend with the other two classes if were talking in terms of the triangle (which is mostly why I made this thread). I think classes would balance the triangle once and for all ;/

Yup, it would be pointless if you could change class when you please. not a bad idea, but if the armour was cheap, more people would use it.

Hm, I actually think it would better pvp. At the moment pvp is all about who has the most cash. Theres very little skill involved.

Might be considered grave digging but; Its been nearly 4 years since I made this thread, and although I'm old enough to get a tattoo, I still haven't got one. I can now look back at this thread and say "what the heck was I thinking."

The only topic I've seen close to this is the discussion of "the triangle," although I've been inactive, so if theres something similar (sorry). Basically, when runescape was first created there was different classes you could chose from, depending on your preferance. Then they scaped this idea, and made it possible to play multiple classes at once; ranger, mage, melee. So my question is, if they made runescape class based (you'd have to chose if you played as melee, mage, or ranger ONLY) would you still play? My opinion; Runescape would be better off it was classed based. My reasons are; It would help fix the combat triangle problem that jagex is having at the moment. The reason why it would fix it, as it would limit what each class could do. For example melee's wouldn't be able to wear ranger armour, which would make it eaiser for mages to kill melees. They could also improve the level cap, as each class would have less skills to level. They could make class based quests. Each class would be unique and useful in different situations. Also if it was class based, new classes could be introduced, instead of new skills. For example assasins (attack/strength/thieving), monks (defence/pray/magic), necros (summong/magic/defence). My second discussion question; Is runescape only successful as your not bound to one class? If I won the lottery, and decided to blow it all building a MMORPG that was browser based, and had multiple classes, would it be just as successful?

Current herblore level: 60. Want to get as close to extreme as I can get. Just got a bandos hilt after 1 week of bandos'ing, so I want to blow 20m of it on herblore, as boss hunting is the only part of the game I really enjoy now. Also extreme will help me boss hunt, which will help fund 95 pray. So whats the best way to spend this 20m? I plan on buying herbs and seconds, but I can't see whats the cheapest way, as prices are insane now ;/ ;/ I don't mind trainning with something expensive to start with, until I can make something that is the cheapest way. Any help? thanks in advance.

Do some maths for my please :P My stats are 89 attack, 80 strength, 80 defence. Average opponent, lets say 90 attack, 90 strength, 80 defence. I just want to know my max hit with a whip and dds really.

Reading all the updates would be pretty insane, I just wanted a quick update on the main things like important items, minigames and bosses. And GEEZ 4k each for a d bone? Is killing greens still quickest using the chaos tunnels? I finish my essay today and have 5 days to do nothing because all my friends are back a uni already and I dont go back till then... so I could kill a few 1000.

As title states, I haven't played in over a year and just got a few questions... - What are the main things I've missed? The last update I was around for was when they changed pvp again so that it was harder for people to do 26k trick ages ago. - I've heard something about new prays and a level 95 pray which enhances your melee stats depending on your opponents, is there a max hit calculator that can help you figure out what your max hit would be with it? Basically I enjoy pvp, and my stats are very odd some would consider (89 att 80 str 80 def 97 magic 75 pray) - so if I came back to playing I would want to get 95 pray if its worth it considering I already have highish pray compared to others. What would my max hit be against say a player with 90 att and 90 str using the normal pvp weps used? - Why are prices so high compared to old prices? Lol (Just pure inflation?) And my final question... Is there still loads of young players? I'm 19 (and yes i have a life), but I have free time to kill. I stopped mmorpgs for a long time, but want to get back into them. I want to play a game were there will be some older players, so is there any around still? Thanks in advance.

He's been on my friendlist for a very longmtime, and in the time he's been there i've taken around 5 long breaks from runescape, and each time I come back he always asks me what my magic level is, and moans at me to get 99. I've tired a million times, and I'm still not there, but I'm forever getting closer. I'm considering doing 40k super heats for 99, but i'll be doing 1k at a time :P

As title says, I'm 105 f2p combat, 114 members. The type of clan i'm looking for should have a high focus on pking, should have a lot of members (If you can say how many in a reply, that would be helpful), and be very active. If your clan has this, then leave a reply and I'll check it out!
