  1. It isnt a majority of the WHOLE COMMUNITY; it's a majority of ALL WHO VOTED Those who haven't voted, either 1) don't come here enough to know about the poll, and therefore the existance of post count is irrelevant to them or 2) cant be bothered to vote, because they dont give a darn, or are too lazy to care. edit: spelling correction
  2. I support post count for one reason: someone with several thousand posts is probably someone whose information is going to be reliable...I am sure that if someone had several thousand posts, but were mostly spam.....the mods would have taken them to lunch already. ON that note however, I suggest not showing how many posts are required to go up a rank...then if you dont know how far you need to go, you would have less motivation.
  3. Exactly..I have been discussing this with players elsewhere, and they are saying how it won't work because there's no feasable way to rank the players that all have the same level. I say, don't rank the players! Just show their QP when you pull their profile, and also show how that total compares to everyone else in the highscores. Oh, if you support this idea, please post on the thread in the official forums! (see first post) Thanks!
  4. I agree with that, combat level would be really useful in the highscores, would be better than a qp highscores. Perhaps so, but not the point of this particular topic? 8-)
  5. I disagree. Yes, to some extent it is relativly easy. I am a lvl 88 with 202 QP as it is. HOWEVER! ALL of my friends (Except one (who only needs prayer lvl for 126 combat)) Have less questpoints than me. Even another who is lvl 120 combat.
  6. I think it would be very nice to be able to see a person's questpoint total in the highscore listings. After all, all of the skills are listed, so those who love woodcutting, or fishing, or smithing, or (fill in the blank) can be listed there, but there is no showcase for those among us who love questing! How are the questers among us supposed to compare our QuestPoint totals to the rest of Runescape? I'd go into more detail about how it should be, but I believe it is pretty self-explanatory...It would merely be a listing identical to those already in the highscores. Topic quick-find number for official forums: 24-25-243-24518865
  7. while i do think it odd and an overreaction that Jagex would threaten a lawsuit, I do see the sense of pulling the article. At first when it got pulled, I figured that those who were mentioned, but not named threw a fit or something. When I read the new article, I thought Tip.It should have left the old one...but after reading the comments, I do agree that though Jagex was probably overreacting, as a simple email, phone call, or whatever method of communication they use, nicely asking for it to be removed because of its slanderous qualities would have sufficed methinks. however I do see now that it was stretching limited facts qute a bit farther than proper. In my opinion, they should so a whole sweeping ban of "bad names" but offer to have the names changed...they could at least worked with the banned person to re-create the banned character's stats and items on a new character with an acceptable name.
