  1. I knew Jagex would release Bards one day, but I was really hoping it would be a skill and WE would get to be the Bards. It's not fair that NPC's get all the fun. -.-

Oh well. Hopefully this doesn't rule out a Bard skill. Maybe these Bard's will be the ones to teach us the skill in the first place? *fingers crossed*

    That answer your question/fear?

Anyways, I'm looking forward to this

You've made me a very happy man today. <3

Woooooooot! Still a possibility for us to one day be Bards! I hope Jagex knows how bad I want to be a Bard.

  3. For the past year or more Jagex has been doing all the little things they can to make death as managable as they could. This, along with the advent of gravestones, and the removal of PKing(not the reason it was done, but still had an effect) has made dying not the big deal it once was.

Well. The problem was people would die, lose all of their stuff(Stuff that could take months or even years for a player to buy), and then quit. It can still be pretty bad if you don't get to your gravestone in time.

I think 3 items kept on death just isn't enough. It should be everything you're wearing plus 3 items.

  4. Any idea on the new quest line for Zaros/Continuing? DT was pretty fun ;)

I have a feeling it might involve travelling back in time. Wait, before anyone says it's far fetched hear me out.

During the quest Meeting History your enchanted key is given the ability to travel through time. We keep hearing about major well-thought-out events that happened in the past wouldn't it stand to reason that Jagex might want to show us some of these events/areas? Such as: The Wilderness before it was ruined, Zaros' empire before the Mahjarrat uprising led by Zamorak(Maybe even witness Zamorak defeating Zaros), Varrock/Avarrocka when Arrav was still young or perhaps before the fire, and I can think of several other things we could travel back in time to see.

Then there was the Prophecy tablet from that recent quest. Time travellers or people that have talked to time travellers can predict future events too.

  5. I gave the wrong discription a few times, it would be better if you could select from a bigger range of looks, but the scorpian tail, [bleep]ed head, and the 3 fingers with a blue body and 6 arms looked pretty cool.

    Oh really?

I hope someone takes a print screen of every single different body part and puts it up here so those of us that didn't get to mix-and-match them could get a chance..

  6. Did anyone here give a wrong description about the Muspah? I noticed how it would draw the creature every time you said what part of its body looked like. I'm wondering if it would draw the wrong parts as well? If so, does anyone have any print screens of some awesome monsters they made(I should have checked, but I didn't think to until right after I finished giving the correct description).

  7. From the few things we know, he was quite the evil God, yet our player is inadvertedly and unbeknowingly setting him free. We have so far always helped him, unlike all other gods which we have had a toss with. It seems the player is becoming a vital role in the whole Zaros case.

What is the relation between Zaros and the player? Will we go alongside him or, for the very first time, opppose him?

    Discuss...

There is no proof that Zaros was actually evil. Of course Zamorak and Saradomin followers are going to cast Zaros in a poor light. But Zaros followers have given us powerful ancient magicks, and all of the ones we've met seem pretty nice compared to their Zamorak counter-parts.

I just wish we could help out Zaros even more than we already are. If he needs a host-body to interact directly with this world like Bandos did, he's free to use mine. <3:

  8. Best holiday item: Wintumber tree(I might be a little bias because I suggested it, but I still think it was awesome)

Best event: It's a tough choice.. Halloween 2007 maybe.

Someone said the RuneScape Classic events were the best ones, but I have to disagree completely. I was only around for the Scythe drop but it was still a pain because you couldn't choose when you wanted to do the event, if you weren't on at the right moment you could miss it completely. Then of course the rares from before the bunny ears ruined the economy as well, but I'm still talking eventwise.

  9. The underwater city was mentioned in a letter to the gods years and years ago.

But even if it wasn't(It was though), it's easy to predict that one might eventually be added. Lots of the surface world has been explored, but only about 3 underwater places have been explored so far. Much more to explore!

I think a race of mermaid-like creatures(Not Mogres though) would be cool. Perhaps they could sell awesome armour and equipment like tridents. Dragon Trident ftw!

  10. I will call people a noob when they:

    a) Kill me.

    B) Call me a noob first.

    c) Ask me for free stuff.

    d) Annoy me.

    e) Call me a noob for calling them a noob for calling me a noob.

  11. The Red Raktuber flies at midnight. (Well, maybe not 'flies'.) Regardless, I'm about to descend into a ventricle of darkness, and I don't know which hat to wear: swordfish, octopus, lobster?
This seems to be a very strong hint towards some sort of submarine contend. Red Raktuber = Red October, a Russian submarine from a book, movie and video game. The "flying" remarks could mean moving underwater. The fish references also point at something involving water.

Huh. 2 or 3 years ago I suggested a quest involving a submarine. But the Russian part makes me think it will probably involve the penguins, my suggestion had nothing to do with penguins. :(

  12. What exactly is the purpose of this study? What exactly are you trying to evaluate?

I still think it's just spam. He posted this several places around the forums and he's not even a regular tip.it member. He probably gets money whenever people do his survey or something like that.

  13. This Development Diary is the last straw. I quit Runescape. I've been waiting on my toes this entire year for something... anything... one little glimmer of hope for the future of this beloved game. I asked for information, I asked for a BTS, I asked for a Jagex Periodical to keep me updated on what's going on. What do I get? A little blog by some nobody moderator. I want a refund, I want the wilderness, I want free trading, I want sailing, and I WANT A HINT AS TO WHAT'S GOING ON WITH RUNESCAPE!

    LOL KIDDING.

I'm happy with the development diary. I'm not stupid enough to believe that this is the only one we're getting for another six months. They delivered EXACTLY what they said they would. It was a blog, less formal, and by one of the developers. They told us that they would only release DDs when the developers had something to say... and one did. I'll be waiting patiently for the next one.

Until then, I have to go work on getting 99 in every skill, completing every minigame, soloing every boss, collecting every rare, and getting a spirit shield set. Why? BECAUSE I DON'T PLAY RUNESCAPE FOR THE WEEKLY UPDATES. Jesus [bleep] Christ. Unless you're in the top 1,000 players, you have absolutely no right to complain.

    Good riddance.

  14. I was right about the new format of Development Diaries. Look at my post history. I said exactly how they'd probably turn out and I was right. They're just blogs. Although I was hoping the first "Development Blog" they released would have a print screen in it, but oh well.. I guess we'll have to wait until further into the development.

  15. Nah i don't think it means alot

Firstly it was an avatar not Bandos himself, therefore he did no directly interfer

Secondly he was only working to punish HIS race who abandoned him not actually alter the course of the worlds events.

The bigger thing to consider would be Lucien has everything he needs to become a god. Guthix isn't punishing for defying a god wills as we have a purpose yet. The elves are trying to summon Zamorak. Saradomin and Zamorak forces are trying to over thrown the Guthixian Edicts. Jmods have confirmed a 2nd god wars and Zaros ARE coming at some point

Uhh. I think you missed part of the quest. He didn't just want to punish HIS race. He wanted to destroy humans and the other races as well..

I also hope when Zaros comes back we don't have to fight him. As a follower of Zaros I don't think I could bring myself to finish a quest that requires us to fight him. :x I'm sure Bandos followers had the same problem with the most recent quest(even though Bandos isn't really supposed to have human followers).

  16. I quote from http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... cle_id=475 (Although you could probably find it anywhere on RuneScape, and I'm sure the word law was used as well somewhere on the site[just can't be bothered to check]):

"Saradomin, lord of order, and deity of wisdom"

    Order in the thesaurus:

    Main Entry: order

    Part of Speech: noun

    Definition: lawfulness

Synonyms: calm, control, decorousness, decorum, discipline, goodness, integrity, law, law and order, niceness, orderliness, peace, peacefulness, probity, properness, propriety, quiet, rectitude, rightness, seemliness, suitability, tranquility, uprightness

    Antonyms: lawlessness, liberty, license

Add on to that Saradomin's island has the freaking Law Altar.

Sardomin is also the opposite of Zamorak. Zamorak is the god of chaos and not actually the god of evil, there for Saradomin isn't the god of good(Juna will back me up on this).

'Just pointing out here that the KB and God Letters are rife with misinformation. It would probably be best not to quote them as sources; the most reliable information is obtained through questing and exploration.

Anyway, Saradomin, I'm sure, would like to be portrayed as being benevolent and a pillar of righteousness, but some of his past actions conflict with this image. Armadyl more closely conforms to the idea of a "God of Law," as he is said to be a strict--but notably fair--upholder of justice.

There can be different ideals of law, not everyone thinks the same things are lawful or unlawful. Just think of Saradomin as the Judge Dredd of the RuneScape gods.

I have done every quest in RuneScape so I know lots about the RuneScape gods. I was just pointing out something solid that Saradomin himself said to counter what someone said about what I said earlier.

Some people seem to be under the impression that two gods can't have similar ideals. Isn't it possible that both Saradomin and Armadyl have a strong sense of law? Saradomin was Armadyl's apprentice afterall.. I was under the impression that this thread was what they represent most.

  17.

    Simple terms:

    Saradomin - God of goodness.

Guthix - The god of balance, possibly Zaros' father.

Zamorak - The now god of badness, born a Mahjraart (sp?)

Iban - A follower of Zamorak, now a God (upon completion of While Guthix Sleeps)

Bandos - The God of Goblins and Ogres

Armadyl - The God of the skies/wings.

Any others you want to know?

Yeah. You're pretty far off. You seem to know almost nothing about RuneScape mythology.

    Saradomin - God of law.

Guthix - God of balance(You were right with the first part, but then you just HAD to get it wrong!)

    Zamorak - God of chaos.

    Bandos - God of war.

Armadyl - God of good and of the sky.

Zaros - Has been called the god of evil by his enemies, but it's more likely he was the god of power.

    Marimbo - God of monkeys.

Seren - Most likely the goddess of the cosmos/space. But we only really know her as the goddess of crystals.

Then there's the desert gods, and also Jas that we don't know much about yet.

i love to quote wrongness ::' lol saradomin the god of law. if anyone that is arma followed by guthix if you count his ability to control others for balance as law.

I love quoting people that quote me because they think I'm wrong but turn out to be the ones that are wrong. ::'
