  1. Dear Zachary 4/5

Holy balls, what an angering and depressing film. I went in thinking, oh this doesn't seem too bad, I WAS DEAD WRONG. if this story doesn't capture you in some way I think you're not living life correctly. It was really just hauntingly beautiful.

The thing that I had to remember was we were just hearing one side of the story, and though it doesn't really seem like the other side is going to have anything on it, you never know.

  2. I wish I could remember what my nations were called. I don't even see any emails about it so it must have been before my current email address, which I got in 2004. Does anyone remember if we had a topic here or on Scapeboard about this?

    EDIT: http://forum.tip.it/topic/63968-does-nayone-here-play-nationstates/page__p__1022786__hl__nationstates__fromsearch__1#entry1022786

That's the earliest thread I could find on it. I didn't remember the names back then either apparently, and that was in 2006.

  3. Melancholia 2.5/5

Not a impressive film to start off with Lars von Trier, Only really quality part of this film were the cosmos scenes, from the beginning of the movie and the end, were the only really impressive parts of the film. The whole middle however, leaves me with confusion and disappointment, a really lame melodrama, that really didn't make a whole lot of sense, and made me feel like Dunst was reprising her role from Virgin Suicides. Overall, I will probably watch another one of his films and maybe it'll be a bit better.

The only other one I've seen so far is Antichrist, and while it was slow for the first 2/3 and then picked up, I think Melancholia was pretty much like you described. I wasn't impressed, but it wasn't bad to watch once. Same with Antichrist.

  4. If it is the same room I would prefer just laying a cable around the outside of the room than doing it wireless, or better yet run the cable properly under the floor or through the ceiling. Sometimes that isn't possible, and you can't run a cable at all, but most of the time there is a way. As the crow flies my router is about 15 feet from my computer, but after back tracking and wrapping my house (I went outside with it) I ended up using about 95 ft of cat5  .

  5. Colombiana - I enjoyed it a lot. I feel like i would have liked a little something extra from it but I can't quite put my finger on what that would be...

I actually just watched this yesterday, I kind of got the same feeling except I didn't get quite as much enjoyment. Basically it was enjoyable but it could have been awesome, had it just been a little different someway. Haha, not a very good way to describe something but that's the best I could come up with.

  6. Just to point out that you might run out of space pretty fast if you go with 60GB since Win 7 takes a lot of it already, even if you install your programs on another drive.

My Win 7 drive is 40g and it's not bad to deal with, since it is an older one I have to keep it 25% empty as well. Newer ones you shouldn't have to worry about that as much.

    EDIT:

I wouldn't suggest getting a 40gb one now though, definitely should go for 64gb at minimum.

  7. Doctor Who Movie: Nothing amazing, but still good fun to watch. Now I've experienced 4/11 doctors!

El Mariachi: Was pretty awesome. Looking forward to the rest of Robert Rodriguez' films.

Not sure which other RR movies you have seen already, but I have to say I enjoyed all of them. Sin City might be the best comic book movie there is, and Planet Terror is one of the best zombie movies recently. Of the Mexico trilogy I thought they got better as they went along, though many will say Desperado is better than Once Upon a Time in Mexico.

I watched Friends With Benefits yesterday, I wasn't expecting much and got a little less than that.

  8. 30 minutes or less. 3/5

Funny, but lacking really dynamic characters, plot was good, ending was REALLY abrupt, I wanted to know more about the characters, but nope.avi. Recommened if you're wanting to watch something funny for an hour and a half, if you're looking for something more skip this film.

I actually watched this last night, and had similar feelings. With that cast it should have been much much better/funnier than it was.

  9. Yup the same problem on multiple laptops, going to go and yell at the Internet company in a little bit. My mom told me they recently were in the area (they are always [bleep]ing up) and that can never be good.

I work for an ISP, and I can tell you them just being in the area 95% of the time they are doing something for an individual customer, and they wouldn't be affecting you unless you call in. It is possible it is your internet connection, but it takes hardly anytime at all to bypass your router and try that, you should do as much as you should before blaming the company when it could just be your router.

  10. Inbetweeners Movie: Was an awesome end to an awesome TV show.

Brothers Grimm: Watched it once sort of (Was with my lady :3) and skimmed through it today. Probably would have enjoyed it more if I paid more attention, but eh.

Tideland: Why. Terrible, as expected and told so by my friends who had previously seen it.

Only have one Terry Gilliam film to watch, now.

Also, for those who have seen Memento (Protip: You should have), this is my mate's new and first tattoo.

I'm not sure what he was thinking with Tideland, it was just not good at all.

I just finished watching all 8 Harry Potter movies, the last three of which I hadn't seen yet. They were actually pretty good.

  11. Been shaving more this month than usual, interestingly enough. I envy you guys that don't grow much, since I can't shave often since my skin is super sensitive. I get Dex's scruff in about a week.

I deal with razor burn everytime I shave, because I also have super sensitive skin. But my beard also grows a lot, just not very well everywhere. So generally if I don't want to look crappy I have to shave every third day or every other day. It's the worse of both worlds.

  12. I thought the first book was ok, but not really good enough to go ahead and get the second or third. I saw the trailer yesterday and at that point it had me excited and thinking maybe I should go back and finish the trilogy, but I let it sit for a while and I started to remember why I never did that in the first place. I'll see the movie, see how much they cut it down to get the PG-13 rating, and if it is still fairly good then that will probably get me back in the mood to re-read the first book and read the rest of the trilogy.
