I forsee a bug in the skillchompas that make them stupidly OP for the first few days....

SkillchompasAs we finish off the Quest, we have begun work on some smaller projects. The first of these is Skillchompas! As you may guess from the title, this is a skilling update. The majority of the development work is due to be finished next week.You will be able to hunt four tiers of new Chinchompas, Mithril, Adamite, Runite and Dragon. You can then equip and use these in Divination, Fishing, Mining and Woodcutting for improved XP rates. Of course, just like those used in combat, each Chinchompa has a single use. They will be tradable, so this does add a new moneymaking method for hunters.

Well, I mean, for a point of reference, in 2004 I couldn't believe how easy noobs had it when they only had to mine ore in Rimmington, walk to Falador, smith smelt the bars, find an anvil, and make the armor.
All while missing one very important thing:

It's not Jagex's fault that some people don't have good self control.
I'll be playing the same amount of time over May as I usually do, 4-5 hours a week.

I was on the path to getting this months ago. Then div came out and I stopped at 99 and did Div..... Then couldnt be bothered slaying for a bit. Anyway got it done finally #16!

The age break down was rather surprising. Mostly the fact that over 26 and over is 23% of the community. Granted I am 6 months away from falling into that category myself. THought there would have been a large amount of younger players.
I fit into that bracket, it's probably all the teenagers that got hooked on the game right at the beginning and have became loyal to the game haha!

People can say what they want..... Yet almost everyone whos made a negative comment or complained about the changing RS landscape.......is STILL playing.......

Back in the day skills were about 25-30k per hour.
Or much less. Remember prayer before rs2? Noone even got 99 before the end of rsc and the first 99 prayer(lilyuffie) was perhaps one of the most important milestones of early rs history.
I remember when lil got 99 prayer. WAs alot of buzz around the rs community

All someone needs to do is go to the RSOF and read the comments and post there. It will become apparent that the vast majority of RS people like the update and previous ones. There is a thread on there about which year is each persons fav year. 2013 was a very popular answer and a fair few said it due to SOF etc. TImes are changing

It is still far beyond me why someone would spend real money on the game... even if you save time... it's one of the most dumb ways one can spend money.
Y0 blue spent 4k irl on divination, I'd imagine similar here.
Would it be better if he instead spent 4k at the clubs? People spend money on what they enjoy.....

After reading more and more of the DIY blogs I finally made my own and have just started working on the account. Nothing to major to report as of yet as am on vacation. I am just looking for some useful tips/info for the beginning of my journey with a DIY account! I am mostly just skilling now as not to fussed about combat. So any sort of tips/tricks to help get me started would be appreciated!

When you come to find the skull for restless ghost, it is no longer near the mine where the rocks use to be. it is now located in the lowest floor of the wizards tower by searching the altar

Used to save up the plant pots from my farming (had about 2k did alot of newby farming) and weeds as well. Had about 4k weeds. Then account got hacked and all lost :(

I don't understand what is so difficult about EOC combat? I was not a fan of it at first but then I took the time to learn the quirks of it and what works best etc. Now I very much enjoy it...I couldn't imagine wanting the old system back....

Getting something so close to release is not really ideal....unless youve got so much money that it doesnt matter
