    Take all major religon's (Christianity, Jew, Muslim etc) teaching. They all tells you do be good and kind. If we are being nice most of us would benefit from it. No one get hurts. look at this -You believe in god and you follow its teaching -you don't believe in god and you are doing good things Turns out both will benefit people. If the whole heaven and hell thing is true, you still go to the heaven. Does it matter if God exist or not? The most important thing is we all get along and live in harmony. If you believe god will bless you and help you get through certain thing. At least you have some sort of mental support. Still better than nothing.
