Well i guess getting the right whip animation in a game like this, that basicaly has a very very small frame rate is very hard. We studied whips-like motion in our wave propagation classes in order to test an high-frequency sampler and i have to assure you that trying to construct a good looking movement in a veeeery small number of samples (in this game, frames) isn't an easy task at all.
Bari's explanations is correct. And the new animation itself is somehow better than before phisicaly. The impressed movement is probably too wide and ends up looking like an high to low axe swing, while probably the whole whip movement area would be compressed in a way smaller, mid-air centered area, with an horizontal strike coming from the side. Anyway what's certain is that the whip, before striking, has a very "straight" look given by the propagation of the wirst-generated force from handle to tip (that generating the forward thrust, too) and Jagex spotted it correctly.
I personaly like this more than before.
If you don't remember you hit the same, so you'll eventualy get used to it and keep loving your weapon :P

Back to topic (maybe) i remember eading that you can fill up waterskins by using a knife on a cactus, but it doesnt seem to work. Any better way to get water?
I think that's the only way, unfortunately and it sometimes fails too. You need an healty cactus btw. Maybe, still highly doubt, they've added the option to refill those skins at water-spots or will soon. Let's hope so.
Problem is that you don't have any cactus in the pyramid pit if i'm not wrong, so it looks like you'r forced to bring a full inv of (4) waterskins and white robes and then tele back to shantay (that implying a fixed 0 waterskin stock at Shantay's for a while after the update. (i think it's 100 max in stock)

No offense to TJ but his posts have been heavy on the negative side. I remember vividly his protest about the cat training grounds which could have been totally avoided if he had more facts or at least tried it out himself instead of hearsay.
That was a conversation topic (not a rant topic, sorry) overrun buy assuming noobs willing to start a flaming season on both sides. I remember some very nice and constructive posts there anyway supporting this or that idea (that's what the topic aim was actualy). I reckon it was my fault to hope in a adult-oriented summit when many of the users are teens if not pre-teens. And sorry to burst your bubble but i always try updates before talkin' about them.
Anyway back on topic, seems like there's been an update (bugfix). Client fails to load worlds so i just wonder if there's been some noticable fixing in reward/exp. Thx

Forgive me if I was a little mean to The Jeppoz. I just have problems with his ego, thank you very much. Does that mean that I do not have my own ego? No, I have one. :P
Now, let us stop flaming eachother over such trivial things. I apologize for being a jerk on account that it is very early in the morning here, and I am a morning grump.
Despite i didn't show any ego, without even posting my level and my game experience but talking as a normal user dealing with his own opinion (while you assumed something since of what you said about sigmaking lvl and so on), actualy sharing it as you claim you've done later on, and despite i doubt your cultural and experience bg is so clearly better than mine (check previous post for reference) as to assume that "probably yes" [since i'm 24, got 1st degree in Engeneering for Telecomunication Systems in the hardest university of my Country (not realy for choice but actualy cause i live 10 mins on foot far from it lol), taking advanced economy classes along the way and that i'm still studying...] I guess it's nice to let the thing die since i basicaly can't develop hard feelings for more than a couple mins :) . I took the chance to even our odds and let my ego speak, since it's been poked while tenderly asleep as i force him to be when i post here. I think that solves the personal side of the problem from my side, too. I also posted in the "official channels" my ideas btw, actualy talking with Jmods ingame too. But this is the board i've always been into for how many years , 4 ? maybe 5. Can't i post my ideas here without being flamed ? I didn't seem to insult any1...
The fact is, and it's bright in the sun, that today's update has no logic.
Lvl 30 course (that makes it low-level oriented btw) with poor rewards isn't realy what we needed as the guy above wisely explained.
The good graphical effort looks somehow wasted to me. every1 able to do the agility course will skip this, as well as other low levels that might prefer barbarian outpost and agility arena (funny as hell imo). If you then consider that the low levels in this game are fast as hell to do...you'll get my point. What if the place was a good lvl 70 or 75 agility spot ? wouldn't that make more sense ?
Just my 2cents.

Jagex needs to know if they'r walking the wrong way. But you keep bowing at them no matter what they do. Leaving the game ? might be an option, too bad i used to love the game and the players and i'd simply love to see it better developed now. Anyway go back to your bowing attitude, but remember that's not being part of a community, it's simply leeching what you can out of it.
And to Barih, is offending me from behind your TET tag , on the other hand, any good at making you look anything different but a sad, squared-mind, person that can't accept any1 else opinion without directly insulting him? no.
Anyway the course takes 3.20 mins to be accomplished and gives something more than 1k exp for trip.

6 months without a serious gameplay addition, Mage arena was a nice try but doesn't get rid of pointless clicking since it's basicaly all about the enchanting section.
Jagex did good job for many times. Abyss is an example as great update and it did changed Runecraft nowday. If you don't like updates then simply don't do it and keep play like normal, whine boy. :roll:
That's the problem. i've been doing the same old stuff for too long.
Think about it. Most of the updates turn pointless after a couple hours.

Come on...
Wildy course has been the one giving the highest exp for ages now, and you don't exactely need lvl 80 to enter.
Another disappointing update in a disappointing month in a disappointing season (actualy 6 months).
Sorry i'm realy starting to lose faith in this game where the latest interesting addition dates july 2005.

It's not. He simply saved it in that ugly Paint .Jpg...
Never save pixel sigs as .JPG , always go for .GIF or .PNG
About the sig, looooooots of things to be improved so just keep training :)

I also owe myself a good shave, actualy...anyway now i see the updated one, i have to go with those suggesting to fix the arm, it seems pretty alien, the shoulder to bicep transition is odd, and probably 2 low on the body. you might want to make the bicep longer and push up the transition a bit, since it has to stay under the paddle mostly.
The heart also doesn't look like what it should, maybe make it bigger and "standardly" shaped. Sometimes you must go for a more direct and simply understandable form of comunication rather than for the most realistic,yet obscure for whoever isn't in your thoughts..

Doesn't look that great at all so far.
Main problem is it's very very flat. Contrast needed in the form of added dark tones. lus the overall effect reminds me of some old amiga videogame splash screen, in other words, something pretty old.
Anyway i reserve to be more helpful staring at an unsampled wip :)

but as previous times I don't uite get what u mean by the chin thing.
The proportions do look weird in this one but they are correct, I made sure of it.
the ffet may look small, but she is a woman they generally have small ffet plus it is quite bukly armour over a not so bulky woman.
Its hard to explain, but I know what I mean as I made the character up, it might make more sense once I draw her sister from the books as they r near identical other than outfits.
As for the eye, i don't see what you see, the way it is looking and the allignment of it with the other facial features makes it look correct to me. I can see your point thouhgt if the face wasn't so clearly turned for that to be her right eye
Ok if those proportions are correct then all the women on earth need to be reconfigured and have the portions made right. Those proportions are horribly done. And regardless if she's a woman, her feet are way to small. She has no chin really. The armour is way to bulky and makes her look like she has like 48 QQQ breasts, need to trim it down. Her neck is to long, Left hand is way to small.
Once again your proportions are all wrong and don't try and tell anyone there not. You'll make Godslayer have a caniption saying something like that. Also did she get hit in the face with a large metal ball or something to make her eye be skewed to the side like that. Generally a persons eye isn't glancing at her ear.
His CCs leave the same soft and tender feeling you get when you use a hedgehog as toilet paper, yet he's right. Definely. Totaly.

The idea is pretty good, not original at all, but the pupil is too bright and "flat" to nicely blend with the rest of the image.Maybe fade the layer in a bit and add some shading/reflections on it. Also the text might need some work to make it a bit clearer at first gaze. Still pretty fine

Never save pixel stuff as .JPG, go for .GIF or .PNG.
The sig is pretty poor on every aspect anyway. All i can say is keep trying and put more time and effort in your works.
Don't make double threads anyway, there's a useful edit botton you know...

No, i checked item database on HQ.
IT was 82/82 previously and it's 82/82 now (i doubt they updated that db so fast).
Whip is same as before according to HQ.
