  1. i criticize the figure for showing wrong anatomy proportions, basicaly.
  2. Not all that bad as a fist try. As you got already told the shading isn't realy working on the skin and is basicaly missing elsewhere. The body position, for a first try, isn't the best choice. First of all the overall look is deformed as the anatomy isn't correct, and as a standalone it isn't very expressive aswell. You should maybe have gone for an object or a normal standing figure instead of this, focusing on the shading rather than the figure. keep it up.
  3. Maybe that's not the Obsidian Ring but the Tzhaar Ranged Weapon ? OWNT
  4. Well i have to say that was the least expected update they could do, on my side. I realy thought we had enough informations on the game from the old official guides and the fansites ( i'm pretty sure the largest part of RS players actualy know of at least one fansite ). The guides are well done, nothing to say...Just somehow pointless. Plus I think that those so lazy not to check a fansite for infos won't even bother looking in the database and, therefore, won't stop asking Jagex useless questions via costumer support... Fansites might suffer from this update largely on the average "clicks" since if, for example, you'r already using RS forums, you might go for a fast look in the database itself. Still the SPOILER sections of the fansites (walktrough, hints, trails solutions) the CALCULATORS and, marginaly, the SKILL GUIDES, will keep them running, i hope. I still hope this isn't the weekly update tho...
  5. Almost 99% of times you get hacked it's for your own fault. HOW ? Having no Firewall installed... Having no Up-to-Date Antivirus software installed... Running 3rd party clients.. Running Macroing programs... Logging on Rs from some1 else's PC... Clicking on wonders-promising links... Opening bad attachments on mails... Opening bad msn sent files... Trusting your "friends"... Sharing accounts and passwords... And so on... So don't blame Hackers...blame yourself, first. And most of times Hackers is a very big word...most they do is being viciously smart.
  6. Greatest sig you've made so far for sure. Now those black borders realy bother this time, spoiling the beautiful armony of design/textures and, overall the artistic value a bit.
  7. Hi dear, i have to say it looks beautiful, but there's something realy messed up in the legs, compared to body and hips. They just look twiested, as exactely facing the opposite way they should...
  8. Uhm...first of all i wanna state i don't wanna look rude or particulary hard in the following lines, but simply give what i consider a good C/C. If i look so too much, feel free to slap me with a wooden pole, but remember that's something i didn't mean to do  . First of all, Terley, 8/10 ? I don't see how this could be 8 out of 10... It's not a bad sig, but 8/10 means very good. And sorry, it isn't. There's a lot of things that could and might be improved in this sig, even compared to the one he's currently using. Giving an 8/10 might look friendly and easy going, also suggesting the work is good and needs no major work...but the truth is there's a big big number of issues with this sig. I'm gonna sort the most important ones : **MAIN GUY** - body anatomy is totaly and seriously messed up. - Armor has no metal look or shape. It looks like some cotton shirt and trousers... - Hands are a mess (i do hate hands myself so i can figure all the pain it takes to make them look somehow human) - Shading is basicaly absent. Everything looks like some flat-2d beveled stickers pasted over a flat bg. You realy need to add more colors in the shading. **BACKGROUND** - Ground shows 2 or 3 colors, with a serious lack of texturing and the above bevel effect problem... - The sky shows 2 colors, and if you consider 1 goes for the clouds... - The moons isn't round - Those 3 trees perfectly lined up on the horizon are simply impossible. Horizon is supposed to be veeeeeeeery far in the distance, and things over there are tiny tiny tiny... - Rune rocks are piramidal...plus that pickaxe shows some incredible magical proprieties since it floats at mid air ( the head isn't that into the rock, that is so tiny in its tip, to support the whole pick) - The dragon Halberd is totaly wrong in its prespective. I suppose it's resting on the ground...Well i value the anvil at 15-20 meters from the viewer, so i have to suppose the weapon is 15 meters long ? And moreover its shape is so odd that it gets bigger and bigger to balance the distance view distortion, looking as it was on the same plain of the main character ? (this is a pretty huge mistake...) - Overall the bg is plain and a bit boring For the above i rate this 5.5/10 This cause, from my own point of view, the work is a couple steps behind the quality of the sig you'r using, where the character design was solid and pretty functional, if not pretty interesting and nice to look at. I realy hope you take your time to consider every aspect i pointed out, compare it to your own ideas and stylistic choices and decide where you will work/improve in your next work. I personaly think you can improve a lot, having a good potential, so keep it up.
  9. I actualy use Graphics Gale, mainly cause i prefer the palette interface and the multi-layer system that saves a lot of time when dealing with busy scenes. It still works the same way as Ms Paint regarding the drawing tecnique-process, simply optimizes the time a bit more.
  10. I think only Alby might answer this, if he wants to. Still thanks for what you wrote ! ^_^
  11. Runescape isn't the best online game by far. It realy can't match last generation titles both for graphics and game experience (world dimension, items, quests...blablabla). Still if we consider the platforms RS is capable of running on, you see the key to its success. For something powered by JRE it's simply great. Nothing like this is around and available with the same hardware requirements. Plus the cost per month is less than half of what you spend on Wow for example, that's another good point for Jaggy.
  12. Totaly custom sig in most of the details you see. Had to show the following : 99 thieving (pickpocketed paladin and missing diamond from displayer) 99 magic (superheating rune ores) 99 smithing (as above) 99 cooking (piles of cooked sharks) 99 firemaking (shark on campfire) and had to look funny. Already sold Hope you like it  bye !
  13. Kill rock crabs, they drop edible seaweed. that's exactely what i've been busy/stuck on the last hour. No drops...
  14. Stuck on edible seaweed for an hour now... How to say Jagex, unwise choice ????? Irritating,,,
  15. Wow, what a baby! i think its a cool update! IF you dont like it, QUIT!! and do me a favor and stop whining, dam kids. You have no idea who you are calling "kid" so shut up. Now you do me a favor. Go get a brain and some behavior, you might also wanna try that on E-Bay. After that, and only after that, you might be able to post something decent. Full stop.
  16. I hardly ever agree with you because I think you have a way too pessimistic view on things but I couldn't agree more with you on (a couple of) the above points. a) this bug has been in existence for a long long time and the first thing I thought when they said the new monster would be in multi-way wilderniss was that they were going to fix that bug. When they didn't update last week I thought they fixed the bug quietly without admitting it ever to be in existence, but fixing it anyways. b, c and d) are actually points that can't be seen seperately. If the d2h were and awesomely powerfull weapon worth getting, the monster location and slow respawn times would have made sense. Since the monster is not that hard to kill (so I've heard  ), the risks of pking clans is needed in order not to flood the world with d 2handers. Also the slow respawn time fits in here because teams coming there with the intent to kill the elemental might turn on each other during the waiting time. The reason for the d2h stats being so low is quite understandable: dragon weapons never need to be repaired. Why bother buying a greataxe that needs repairs every 15 hours when you could get a d2h with better stats that needs no repairs ever? Now if they had made the d2h slighty better or equal to the greataxe, but worse then full dharoks that would have been great. On your last comment about gameplay additions, they try some small ones allright (tool leprechauns, mobile spitroast) but a big skill update to let's say crafting would be more then welcome. I see you get my point. And yes, as i told previously i am pretty pessimistic about where RS is heading recently, but i have my reasons. I've been a great supporter of the game, playing (and paying) for ages, even when it took 1 year to make the exp nowadays you can make in 1 month (literaly, if you have been a RSC player back to when r2h was 2 mils, you know what i mean). On top of my wishlist is to keep playing this game, cause i realy found good friends and good fun, but unfortunately i'm to that point where all skills are a pain (infinite routines...) and i'm not a great fan of bot-like gameplay. After boring(obviously) August i was just hoping for another great season, renewed my membership and all...But, with my own surprise, i started feeling very disappointed by, let's say 90% of updates, for this or that reason. I started feeling the overall quality of the updates was getting farther and farther from what we were used to...That's why i'm greedly waiting for something new to do and well, i took my time to examine ALL updates since last year January, and i found out this huge difference between those first 6 months and the latest... I'll be the first one to greet Jagex if next month will introduce great updates, i'm not on a personal crusade you know. All i want is a better game, nothing more.
  17. lol, n33b. why haven't you come to KoFh? *points to recruitment board* And Tj, I remember how much you were cashing in daily when TT were first put in game. I don't think anyone was as lucky as you were in getting god items. Where was the word "useless" then? :P Well it's not like we were swimming in 200 sets of armors back then. Those were a great way to train with some new equipment, that actualy didn't look like a metal can and still was the best full set you could get at that moment. This update, on the other hand, focuses on low lvl items. Seriously we all know how easy it is to get to, let's say 60s in combat skills nowadays. As i told above "enchanted" is ok, since it somehow evolves the mystics, that's still the top robe under barrows (if we don't consider the very expansive infinity). The rune herald is almost fine, even if rune kites ain't all that used today. All the rest is basicaly show-off since no1 will need those to train after a short while. I find it a pity, expecialy considering the very limited bank space. Why not Black hide (g) and (t) for example ? I can't get it. Or why not an unique item that could be worth getting, with some interesting stat boosting ? Anyway you people can keep saying anything is allright with latest Jagex policy. I personaly think the opposite, and considering the last year history of updates, i have all the rights, and reasons, to do so. I've been a paying member from the first year of RSC membership, always been fine with Jagex and all. Now i'm probably leaving the game as my membership expires, in a month. Till then i'm doing the same stuff i was doing 6 months ago, since nothing interesting has been added this far, waiting, and hoping, to see a sign that good updates will be back. If no1 ever rants, Jagex will think they'r doing fine. But they are not. They are wasting many good ideas and solutions with what i consider rushed updates. For example the Chaos Elemental update would have been great if : a) They fixed the incredible autoskulling bug BEFORE releasing this update (refer to LEESTER's post for further details) B) They didn't place it in the middle of the usual PK groups route, making it a totaly pk clan oriented update and risking it to get deserted in a few days. c) The D2H was actualy a decent weapon since both Whips and Great Axe are far better. In the last days of speculation i personaly hoped it could attack multitargets on regular basis, not just as a special...too bad d) They made the respawn faster, since so many free-from action minutes and so many pkers don't go well together... What we mainly need is gameplay additions (in the form of skills or massive skill updates, such as Abyss was for RC , for example) not 100 new ways to look cooler with friends...My 2 cents.
  18. IT's great to see how people can put so much interest, if not even fight over junky items like these. Face it, all new "treasures" together with badly/unoriginaly designed are totaly useless, most of them being very very noobish too. Even if there were 4 versions, those would be 4 version of an ugly item. Only thing that's worth the addition is probably the "enchanted" set, even if it's only a lvl 40 magic set, similar to mystic. At the moment i'm not aware of a single trail item that shows to be a useful addition to the game (as for example, mage and range boots were, or pages, or robin hood...) There's been a huge hype around these new trails. I personaly have always been pessimistic over them, and d2h too (omg another wasted drag item)... As usual recently, Jagex proved me right. Sad.
  19. i think it's not a bug. It's a CHAOS monster... and in the news it's said we had to face something new and unusual... maybe it's wanted.
  20. Not totaly sure on that :P Maybe first one to actualy post about that
  21. @Day 1@ 1st trip round 1 : Karil's Xbow round 2 : Racks + runes&stuff 2nd trip round 1 : Guthan spear round 2 : rune&stuff 3rd trip round 1 : rune&stuff round 2 : Verak's helm That was my first day at barrows. Definely lucky. Recently i get an item every 10-12 chests...
  22. Yeah, this quest was one of the most disappointing update ever. As it was released i ran checking the introduction page and both the requirements and the plot sounded like great fun. I was realy happy back then. Then i started the quest. 15 mins later(maybe something less actualy) it was finished. Would have been 5 mins if i hadn't to wait the plunder respawn. That was probably the most boring quest ever, trapped in a small enviroment (2 ships) doing silly, mechanical tasks the cap'n explains as you were a 2years old kid...No risks, no brain involved...all totaly unrealistic...Reward was somehow nice for the tiny effort, in exp, but the pirate outfit is highly questionable, aswell as the coutlasses... You have to face the fact that Jaggy's updates in the last 6 months are either useless/pointless or, if coming from a good idea, sadly rushed, and the quests simply embarassing. I fail to see anything thrilling or interesting in the last 6 months, while in the previous 6 we had great , and i mean GREAT updates (Slayer, Barrows, Ancient magics, Farming, Abyss Rcing and so on..) and GREAT quests (desert treasure and the Plague city/Elves series). I don't know if they changed their staff or, as you can read in their main site, if their best brains are working on their brand new game whose development was planned to start in the last part of 2005.... Either ways, overall quality of RS updates has gone downhill....And according to this month's previews, things ain't getting any better...(ok they can please noobs with new trails, but come on...it's just the same old stuff...how long could it take them to implement such a thing?) and the new monster...is just a monster...I realy wonder how they are spending their hours recently...
  23. How can you say "i care of exp only" if you a)claim to be a merchant b)have totaly noobish stats ? Plus unless you'r doing it as a show off, as i belive, any merchant would actualy care about losing 800k in 5 mins, since that's 9.6 M an hour... I'm totaly sure players with a networth of 1Bil+ still care about 800k losses... Now i realy doubt you can make that much an hour expecialy cause i've never seen you in fally world 2 selling hats
  24. Couldn't actualy care less of this update. The old friendlist dimension, if filled, was good enough to give me a perm headache. I've been playing for ages and i consider myself friendly and all, but could manage to talk with all my best friends using a 50 max friendlist... If you have more than those you realy die to chat with, just go on a chat room...I realy hope they didn't waste too much time in such junk while they could have expanded bank space, for example. If this is the "weekly" update, that i don't belive, we'll have a rant-peak :)
