I get all excited when i realise they were updating while i was world hopping...and it only turns out to be an update to the friends system servers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I suppose that does meanm that all their energy will be going into the expected new monster.

I think the update was great, after evry update my friend list doesnt load but now it's fixed :D

Theres always the chance of them updating the game again. They have done this in the past. Just give them time, im betting on a late game update later on today.

The old friendlist dimension, if filled, was good enough to give me a perm headache. I've been playing for ages and i consider myself friendly and all, but could manage to talk with all my best friends using a 50 max friendlist...

 

 

 

If you have more than those you realy die to chat with, just go on a chat room...I realy hope they didn't waste too much time in such junk while they could have expanded bank space, for example.

There will be lots of people online (half term in the uk), in the wilderness, clans etc....the friendslist is going to be used quite a bit within 2-3 days of the update been released.

At the end of december last year Paul posted on the forums that carpentry is still been worked on and should be out sometime THIS (2006) year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

They told us they PLANNED for a late 2005 release to shut all the noobs up.

Don't say that Jagex always lies because: they never mean to... things just don't work out; and they've most likely learned to not say they're going to do more than they can anymore, otherwise ppl get way angrier when they don't get something that month.

Bah, after reading the official forums, its ticking me off. There's some people in there with raging sarcasms acting like Jagex owes them a timely weekly update.

It makes me sick...i was just about to post the most horrific and most offensive reply i could of ever posted in one of the topics....but before i hit the reply button i hit the 'x' at the top. God the rs forums are full of 10 year old (oops sorry 13 :roll: ) spamming all the forums and topics up, its embarrasing.

And besides, I like reading Behind the Scenes stuff. It actually brings my mind to ease that they might actually have some form of a schedule. Although I liked the themed months much better then just this random stuff.

Even if they updated twice a month, Runescape is flat-out the most-updated online game, and we pay half if not a third of what most other P2P MMO's pay.

Dude come on, give Jagex a little respect, your obviously RS2 material...if your not (which i doubt greatly) then think back to the years 2002/2003. We were lucky to get an update per month, let alone per week. Yeah on some occasions they released 2/3 quests within one update...but nothing on the scale we get now.

Barihawk speaks the truth, factor in also that most online RPGs, when they do release new areas, major items, etc., it's in an expansion pack, which you also have to buy. So you buy the original game, pay monthly for 6 months to a year, then you get an update that costs you almost the price of the original game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So $5 a month for nearly weekly updates, is a better bargain than I've seen in any other MMORPG

I really doubt an update this small could be what they have been working on all of the last week or two... they'll probally release the next update later today or tommorow. If not then they probally have somthing big planned for next week. Ya never know :wink:
