  1. I'm a firm believer that there should be no restrictions on the market. Why? Because the restrictions are dishonest to the nature of trading. It's completely fair that if someone is willing to sell an item for a certain price, and I am willing to pay that price, that I should be able to buy that item. I am not causing the market trouble by buying an item that someone willingly sold to me, even if I happen to buy 100 or a thousand of that item. The people could have controlled merchanting if they really wanted to, without these updates from Jagex. All you have to do is sell your item at a better price.. and get a better deal for your item. The more frugal people are about prices, the less possible merchanting becomes. When people are lazy, impatient, or uninformed about the prices of their possessions, merchanting will thrive. If you don't have the patience to get a good price, but I do, why shouldn't I make money off of that? Would you say it's fair if pawn shops were outlawed in the real world? People go to a pawn shop for a service and they get that service.. a fast sale of their item for a reduced price. But Jagex is trying to play nanny and allow people to get good prices for their items in spite of their laziness. Of course, it doesn't actually make a difference, because people will still sell their whip for minimum when it doesn't sell after 10 seconds at medium. As for the discussion of market manipulation, Jagex is completely to blame on that count. they're the ones who put price limits in place, disallowing people to trade at the value they truly want to trade for. Without Jagex's awful system.. if people had still been able to trade freely, manipulation would have never been a problem. Jagex is trying to correct the problems of regulation with more regulation, and that's utterly stupid.
  2. Jagex is so unthinking in these updates, it astounds me.. How much of a lack of creativity do they have? Really, this is all they could come up with to stop dumping and manipulation? How about this: the average is based on the average buy/sell price of each player yesterday. That way, if I buy 1000 of an item, it has the same effect on tomorrow's price as if I buy 1. It's like making a rule that you only vote once. Through this, you'll still see a system that changes to reflect what people are actually buying and selling for, and you eliminate manipulation. People could still have their merchanting, so everyone goes home happy. Not as if Jagex would do something as logical as that... maybe they want it to be like a real-world stock market? Well, in a real-world stock market, regulating to this point would slow down investment, and companies couldn't grow as they do now. The important difference between the real world and runescape is that the grand exchange trades tangible items that are a product of work, and the stock market trades shares of a company that produces something. Big and important difference there. Investing is a good thing in a stock market, because it helps the companies. In runescape, investing is forced to be negative because it's just making money by playing the market to no benefit. Thanks to that, Jagex tries to stop investing and collusion... and we end up with these ridiculous updates added as a silent "f*** you" to all those people who wanted to make some money using their heads and without spending 4 years of monotonous training to 120+. Certainly affected me.. after my main was unfairly banned with no support form Jagex (Cause it's only thousands of hours and 100+ dollars, right?), I wanted to start a new character and play a bit more casually so I just enjoyed the game more rather than a tedious experience. I did that, and started to merchant so I could get some money to train my skills a bit faster and afford some nice items. With all these new regulations though, maybe I'll just quit. It's quite clear that jagex doesn't care what the people who pay for their now pathetic excuse of a game want. What is the jagex vision of Runescape? 10 hours of repetitive grinding per day for years in order to end up with an above average account which you can't do anything with? Oh boy, sign me up...
  3. Yeah, go ahead and do that. Don't be surprised when you come back and see 3 swamp tars in your inventory because a random killed you
  4. Thanks. Good luck with the 99 hunter. I want to use chompas but I don't have nearly enough money too buy them and catching them takes too much time for me  , So I'm just training with a good ol' c bow.
  5. Did you do a full 200 and get only 2 black cavs? And I think I have a theory of what causes repeat bad luck on trails.. it might not be true but 4 teh one where I got teh mage ammy (T) I had to get 63 fishing so I ended up spending 4hrs to finish it.. almost all my other ones took less than 30 mins, I think if it were time spent that would explain why people who do tons of clues (meaning they do them quickly) often end up with poor rewards alot. IDK its just a theory maybe im wrong. And btw teh only semi-rares I've gotten are (t) legs and amme and (z) helm out of about 40-50 total. never anything as good as a black cav. nah, cant be true, i had to also train my fishing to 63 from 49  , and got garbage, so, i think it is just random overall Yeah I guess so, just some fun superstition :XD: In other news.. 84 range! :D

  7. By the way, a good way for some extra coal for only 90 gp each is with kingdom managing in miscellania. You could put 10 workers on coal every day and you'd get about 600 coal or so at 90gp each every day.
  8. Yeah but I'm not getting my hopes up.. considering I've gotten 2 semi-rare items in over 40 clues :x
  9. hellhounds and greater demons mostly. I'm also blitzting to 99 range so it works well.

  11. Hello, I've heard a lot of people say that hellhounds are no faster for clues than other monster, but I'd like to say this is not true, because remember, clues are the hellhound's ONLY drop. It has no other drops that compete with a clue scroll, like every other lvl 3 clue dropping monster does. So you will never have a clue scroll drop replaced by a different drop with hellhounds. Try it for yourself if you like, you will almost always get a faster clue scroll at hellhounds.
  12. probably the best ever found, def. in the top 5 my best, out of 36 clues
