  1. Was wondering if any of you would recommend buying any of the shields with spare tokens. To me, it seems Eagly eye kiteshield and Farseer kiteshield are both pretty good substitutes for spectral (if ranging with it) and arcane, with a little subpar stats but some damage absorption (and ranged attack for eagle eye). Also, pricewise, it seems a pretty decent deal: at 90 gp per token, they're 18m each, cheaper than the spirit shields (though not resellable). Idc too much about the 200k dg xp I could get, that's 1h of dungeoneering for me.

what would you use the shields for?

Mainly for just messing around. Bit of castlewars/clanwars with the farseer, or whenever else I'm maging. Maybe some nex with eagle eye (is it any good there?), or when messing around at cwars/clan wars.

So yeah, really nothing that I absolutely need them for, they would be really just another fun item to waste my tokens on.

  3. Is it me, or does logging in a busy world takes 10x as long now? Took me like 5 min to log in w117 to do my assists. Kinda annoying cause I'm stewed, so I have to logout within a minute. Good thing I just got 91 rc, so I can at least do 91-93 pretty easily (dorgeshkaan), standing in Dorgeshkaan bank while advertising in assistclan.

[bleep] logic, this is rs

I would usually criticise you for caring about his gear, but OH MY GOD THAT IS [bleep]ING HILARIOUS.

Pray bonus and has stats similar to d'hide. Calm yo [bleep]. Do your thing and let people do theirs.

I think he was referring to the guy using void bottom and top with barrows gloves and neit helm instead of just using full void. It would make sense if he was slaying with a slayer helm but...

I started using void in stead of karil's too. Nothing stupid about that, especially not in Cavern where you don't need defence so badly. There's very few difference between void helm, and neit helm + barrow gloves

  5. I've been away from members for too long; is that whip under a mil?

    Yep.

Sucks eh? i left 2 years ago, it was almost 2m then.

Edit: And it couldn't sell for mid. Had to go to 916k.

bought my whip way back when they were 1.2m when wildy got taken out for the first time. Sold at the 3.1m peak like a year ago, while I used korasi and other various weapons to train. Rebought at 1m :)

Moral of the story : Pro merch.

Moral of the story: you used a suboptimal weapon for an entire year to save a measly 2m. Worst deal ever.

  6. Nah, I expect he will pull the bandaid off slowly rather than ripping it off. Most people his age probably would. I did, and I don't know if I would have listened if somebody gave me that advice.

I can say with experience that cutting contact is magnitudes better but it's his life.

    Not always.

I had this "problem" a few months ago: I just started a relationship with this girl I met a few weeks before. I liked her, but I wasn't totally lovestruck. A day after we kissed, I meet another girl (friend of a friend) on a party and it's like the perfect match. Never connected so well with a girl. However, she has a boyfriend, I just started a relationship too, so it was a no-go, although we got very close to crossing the border...

So we decided to kinda avoid each other, cause it's for the best: she was already 5 months with her boyfriend, and was really happy with him, so she didn't want to give that up for what might be a shorterm crush. I wouldn't have too much problems "switching" since I only just met my girlfriend a few weeks before and I wasn't 100% convinced she was THE girl of my life. I'd feel [bleep]ing bad though, cause she had been asking me dozens of times if I really meant it seriously with er etc before starting a relationship.

However, that totally didn't work out. I couldn't stop thinking about her, and clearly the same for her, so we ended up texting a lot, and meeting a few times for a walk. This carried on for a while, and I was still kinda in love with her so we decided that it wasn't going well, and made an arrangement to not see/talk eachother for a month. The next days were the worst in terms of being in love... Short term it had quite the opposite effect that I was looking for. Less than a week later, we ended up giving up on the arrangement (after coincidently seeing each other at a party and having a damn good time again) and since then things have gotten better actually. We've been studying together (exams right now) and stuff like that, and I'm finally starting to see her as a friend :-)

So yeah, long story short: for me, seeing her often actually helped to start seeing her as a friend. However, time will probably have played a role too.

For whoever's curious: I'm still with the first girl, and ever since I got rid of my feelings for the other one (kinda), things are going really well, she's a real cutie and I can finally fully appreciate it :-)

  7. I kill waterfiends and miths in bandos. I garantee I kill 'em faster then you. ;). Who cares if he's wearing bandos, he's just gotta flash soulsplit.

Look at the noob wearing karils.

It's true he might kill faster because of the strength bonuses of bandos, but wouldn't it make more sense to pray against magic since bandos has ranged def...?

Their ranged attack is also magic based I think (like bloodveld's magic based melee attacks). So either way, you're going to be hit fairly often wearing bandos. If you have soul split though, it doesn't really matter.

Their ranged attack isn't magic based, they have a ranged attack and a separate magic attack (Which can be seen as an old school water blast, and the ranged as an arrow)

I'm pretty sure it's magic based. Of course they are seperate attacks, that's pretty obvious. It's just that the magic attack can be dealt with by protecting from magic, and the ranged attack can be dealt with protecting from ranged. WITHOUT protection prayers however, they will both use your magic defence to decide to whether it's a hit or miss.

  8. 84*4.9 = 411.6

    1 ent in farm run = 1.6

Total = 413.2 which could round up to 414

That said, 84 steel titans sounds like a ridiculously large number...

So maybe he did get some summon xp from scrolls

For me(having only done crawlers for summoning xp this month) i have oner 20k summoning xp for around 28 hours at crawlers. Clearly, he isn't using enough scrolls.

That said, the number of times you can manually scroll there is limited and doing it too much lowers dps. For me the numbers are around 140-260 for manual-helmet scrolls.

Why would doing it too much lower your dps? Also, to refill helmet, just be very quick so you don't die from smoke?

  9. So, I'm living with 3 friends in a house, and our download limit is depleted. I blame their habbits of watching youtube all the time while doing their projects (they're architects). They blame me playing Runescape.

I always thought Runescape didn't need much loading and all, but does this mean is doesn't take much off the download limit? One thing I know for sure, even while our limit was this depleted that loading one yioutube video didn't work, I could still play RS pretty smoothly. This is why I would think it doesn't take much off the limit. Am I right?

  10. Good to see that construction is still holding spot number 2 :). It deserves that place.

Not surprised to see runecrafting still at number 1. The slowest skill and click-intensive, which is why it is my lowest skill.

I don't know why, but it feels odd to see crafting be that rare.

EDIT: Nice avatar and sig there, Bows.

Not sure if it deserves that spot. For me personally, it was the easiest 99 ever. Hoarding long and curved bones for bonus xp weekend = 90-99 in around an hour :D

But yeah, the supply of zombie imps is pretty limited, so it's not a viable method for everyone.
