  1. I'm not sure why I joined Gladz. I had been a Tip.it user for years but my knowledge of the clan world was limited. The only clans I knew were THE, DI, DS and Gladz. I think I also played Castle Wars with a few members of BK on W99 as well at one point or another. I basically joined Gladz because I had heard of a few of their members (Dirtbag02, N0valyfe) and thought it would be cool to have a look. I didn't join seriously so it's a complete surprise that i'm still there 3 years later. :shades:

Now that I have some knowledge of clanning, I would choose a clan which has a strong community but a commitment towards excellance in fights. It shouldn't restrict itself to appease fansite communities (i.e. not doing CWA because it's a taboo) and should believe in having integrity at all times. Annoying officials also don't appeal to me.

  2. As has already been explained on RSC, if the actual war was crashed instead of simply the AC, it was completely unintentional and we apologise unreservedly. However, as the video posted also shows, we certainly killed more than 2 members. Once Downfall disappeared, we ended. Miscommunication once again made us unaware of you re-massing; it would have been nice to have a proper fight.

  3. 1. Why is there such a distinct lack of GMT clans in the top 10?

GMT clans aren't competitive in uncapped PKRIs. If their opposition can drag the fight beyond 6EST successfully, they're going to be picking up the win. GMT clans can counter by dominating in capped PKRIs but that, alas, will not successfully allow them to enter the top 10.

    2. Do you think that a GMT clan is ever going to make it into the top 3/5?

No. There may be GMT leaders in the top 3/5 but no clan will make it without a solid amount of Americans in their clan. DI had a lot of GMT members but they also had plenty of Americans to allow them strength in longer fights.

    3. Is there any one reason why EST clans seem to flourish so much more than their GMT counter parts?

EST clans can have more varied opposition by entering different timezones, mostly because fights start earlier for EST'ers yet they maintain the capability to go later. This allows them to keep members motivated with different opponents and more variety.

    4. Why aren't the majority of clans GMT based, and as such why are most wars not fought at a time that is more suitable to GMTers?

More Americans are in clans? Furthermore, wars are very suitable for GMT'ers. I'm in a GMT/EST-based clan yet if I was American, I would be extremely inactive. The war times allow me to spend my day outside yet maintain activity in the clan. It works well.

  4. On-topic: VR will have a boost and, yes, there will be another DK re-make soon.

You honestly think whatever 'boost' they receive will be anything more than a flash in the pan? Why?

I didn't specifiy the longevity of their boost. :shades: I think a few members might stick in the long-term but it's likely that they won't last when the next DK is made.

  5. Good fight, PH. Awesome activity to a 3-4 hour prep (?) fight. Fighting with 46 on TS against our 31 was interesting. However, I was pretty happy with our near-50% turnout but yours was a class above.

Anyway, you guys did well. We only had 1 caller who was present but can't take that as an excuse. GJ.

  6. Not at all. Most clans don't even fight at all and are based around other aspects of the game. I think it's best to enjoy all aspects of the game so I like a mixture of PvP & CWA - as well as skilling, boss hunting etc. - but if a clan's members don't wish to fight in PvP, it's entirely their choice and no one can force them to do something if they don't want to.

  7. We pay for our forums - $20 per month - but since we have a 512-slot TS3 server that is run through the forums, we don't pay anything for TS3. Overall, I think it's worth paying for things if you have the money. We can easily pay for our forum costs due to the activity of the boards (500-600 posts per 24 hours with only 64 members isn't shabby at all) so it's worth it.
