Good fight. My first time on RS in 9 days, it was a good time.
-
I don't think RJ took this very seriously.
Good job.
-
Awww, guess Solace didn't sign up. We'd have done well looking at some of these...
You attempted to sign up, just 5 minutes too late.

I remember that several clan officials were mass-banned off the site for causing trouble. The moderation on these boards was very different back in the day.

Good fight, BK. Wasn't there due to my graduation.

Video:
At 13 seconds I get koed. :(
That's because you're like 94 combat. :\
I PM'ed Exo's Warlord before the fight to make sure they didn't think we were NH when Lordhotshot turned up in Addy.

RIP, Legacy. You allowed us to pull our highest options since PvP returned in January (until yesterday, lol) - Best of luck to your ex-members. Hopefully they stick around.

The fight was fairly interesting. It was obvious that we haven't fought with those options for a few months, particularly for the first 1-2 transitions. It's also obvious that we got into the groove, however, or the fight wouldn't have been called off so quickly. Thankfully it was a clean fight as well which is quite unusual thesedays.

Thanks for the fight, Poison. Sorry that I couldn't be there.

It's preferable that someone is a higher combat level when leading since they are less likely to be piled. However, we won't judge someone by their combat level but by the quality of their calling. If they are enthusiastic and a great caller, we will let them lead as a ~115 rather than a worse caller who is maxed out. Nevertheless, if someone is enthusiastic about being a caller and their clan, they are normally willing to gain extra combat levels in order to prove their dedication and commitment.

Its a possiblility, but looking at gladz currently they are doing really well. Imo they have the skill to step higher, its the fact that they don't have the numbers. .
Hence why we're so happy about Soulja Melle joining us. B)
I think our performance left much to be desired. We have plenty of room to improve, so can keep working hard and moving upwards.

Grats Gladz, might be interested in fighting you soon.
I would be. You know where to find us if you want something.

My peon DwBroImWhite approached Tempted Killers for a mid-week CWRI a few days ago. Although we've been asking for a PvP PKRI for several weeks and were originally offered a CWA melee & binds matched options war, he painstakingly organised a CWRI with the following rules:
- Melee+Binds+Range
- No Corrupt or dungeoneering items allowed
- 60-minute cap
- Turrets
- No cape-switching
- Sniper cap of 3
Starting:
Gladz: 29
TK: 26
As 6:00PM EST rolled around, we massed up a healthy 29 Gladiatorz. Tempted Killers pulled a lower-than-expected 26 members.
Summary:
We began strongly, gaining ~3 kills before TK dropped their first pile. Although TK quickly boosted themselves up to our numbers, it was only temporary and we continued to dominate and KO a vast majority of our targets. As the fight wore on, TK's members seemingly bored and stopped returning, dropping their numbers down to ~24 before turning the last 5-10 minutes into a tank test for a few of their dedicated members once all hope was lost. Gladz ended with 179 kills to TK's 65.
Ending:
Gladz: 35 (179 kills)
TK: 4 (65 kills)
Pictures:
We personally can't wait for Soulja Melle's application!
Good fight, Tempted Killers.

Gratz Gladz. Maybe we can war someday..
You have continously declined us for several weeks.
Thanks for the fight, Collision. We slumped after being DDoS'ed but that isn't an excuse since Collision performed very well. We got back in the game and ran towards the finish, good fight.

In all honesty, if only 3 mid-size clans have opened within 6 months, that's quite depressing if you look at how many clans have closed their doors.

my question is how on earth did u clear genocide with 13 people? you must of been fighting a very small portion of them i thought genocide had 120 opts at that fight O.o
According to what I've read, they had less than we had on TS by the end of the run-in (we had 24). It was at 10PM EST that we started PK'ing, so it's no surprise that big numbers weren't involved.
-
I know we wouldn't post this unless it was legitimate since we've had far more successful and sexy trips this week (www.the-gladiatorz.com/blog) but thanks for the fight, Genocide.
-
Thanks for the fight, Envy. I was on IRC a lot and piled ~3 times whilst it was open. Tanked a few times when I was ready, but I gave you guys free kills by not paying attention.
I liked our turnout today. Best mid-week turnout in a while.

Wow nice and Gratz Gladz. Rm Dragonwood? :D
If you want a PKRI, add me on MSN: [email protected]
Thanks for the fight, TNC. 3 kills, 3 deaths - I was camped by snipers for a large proportion of the fight.
-
Rank 205 despite not playing Castle Wars for nearly 4 years. Haha.
-
Good job, Dragonwood. Well fought.

I'm trying to get a longsight at the moment, so I hope that it's allowed in fights. For all the reasons that you mentioned, it's simply Warlords who are scared that their members are lazy who don't use those rules.
What position do you feel you would prefer most in a clan?

Regular member is perfectly acceptable to me. From experience, being part of a clan's leadership is extremely stressful and requires a lot of time. In some cases, you end up spending so much time doing leadership tasks that you can't devote enough time to your area of expertise which allowed you to flourish and blossom. Leadership is something that shouldn't be taken lightly. As long as you are allowed to work hard (setting up wars, calling etc.) then there are no problems whatsoever with being a regular member.
