Hi Is Barbarian fishing still the fastest after Cut X was brought in ? Fish and drop at Barbarian comes very close in my tests to Trout and salmon at Rasoslo now. Discuss.......

Hahahah you people, sorry but........ I have tried and tested all types of fishing many many many times now.... Never ever came close to the Barbarian fishing claims of 50k to 60k XP plus, and now somebody has posted here 70k XP :D.... Most I ever achieved at Barbarian fishing using fish and cut old method was on average 43k to 46k XP, but to keep that speed up for a few hours I would say would be impossible, and you would end up with a bad hand/fingers.... Never ever come close to 40k XP an hour at Monks either, so do not know where that figure came from, still good for XP and cash though. Shilo for me was always as fast and sometimes faster than the old Barbarian claims, just bank your fish and then sell for more feathers every so often, only good for XP.... Rasolso fly fishing is always 42k to 45k and hour but only good for XP and a little cash... New Barbarian auto cut only tried once so far and got 37,780k XP, will try it again though as it will vary as does trout and salmon depending on type of fish caught... Have fun fishing everyone and always remember to fish the method that you enjoy and are comfortable with that way your XP rate will seem good anyway regardless :)

OK, I find this fishing spot comparable to Barbarian at the speeds and XP that I get. Get yourself a fly fishing rod and a bucket load of feathers. Head north of Ardougne, follow the river until you reach a person called Gerald, this is a Trout/Salmon spot so no running about like at Shilo. Once you have a full load go north and find Rasolo trade your fish to him for a few GP. I can average 43k to 44.6k XP there. This spot is for fast fishing XP and a small amount of GP only, well if you do not want to wear your finger out gutting fish at Shilo, and are really not bothered about the small amounts of other XP you can get there, or do not want to do or like Barbarian fishing.

Yup, its how I set mine. I know how it looks and I know how to do it, my observation is that going at it for an hour I can only manage 40k to 44k tops XP. Can you manage to get 52k XP hour after hour, not just by doing one hard fast slog for one hour going as fast as you can. People seem to do a skill hard for an hour as fast as they can, then post, "Hey I can get 60xp an hour at that", a figure I have seen posted for Barbarian fishing. If people time a skill for an hour they should do an average over several hours to get a more accurate figure, so as to not to get peoples hopes up.

Yes, sorry, it is more an observation into how they get the 50k plus XP at Barbarian fishing.. I would like to see some stats that ring true on how many people have done 50k plus consistantly hour after hour at Barbarian fishing.

OK, since my last post on Barbarian fishing I been doing loads of Barbarian fishing. Not to show off but my fishing XP is a little over 19mil, just so you know my level. Doing Barbarian fishing, I have the knife bottom right corner, I arrange the fish around the knife as I am fishing for faster cutting, no matter how hard I concentrate, no matter if I do single clicking to cut or the double clicking method I can only average 40 to 44k top XP. I could'nt even get near 50k at Barbarian doing fish and drop for an hour....... I would love to see somebody do the 50k plus thing and keep it up for several hours, because it is over several hours that counts, not a one off hard hit for one hour. Plus, there is a faster Trout/Salmon spot than Shilo if you just want XP and a little GP.

I have heard from somebody else that he has never managed to the 50k plus xp spoken of either. Most xp at Barbarian I have ever had is a little over 42k. I have a feeling that the people who state 50k plus are adding on the xp of the other three skills, only way I can see you can state 50k plus.

Follow on to my question about Barbarian fishing. Over the past two evenings I have done some timings on Barbarian and Trout & Salmon fishing xp. Findings are the same as when I did this once before, xp swings in ones favour or the other. 1 hour fishing Trout and Salmon = 41.5k xp 1 hour Barbarian Fishing = 40.3k xp Close is'nt it ? This was giving it my best shot, I just cannot get the xp stated all over the place for Barbarian fishing, 50 plus xp an hour. Only thing in Barbarian fishings favour as far as I can see is the small amounts of xp for Strength, Agility and Cooking. Well that and the aching finger from all the fish gutting.

Hi If Barbarian fishing is the best fastest xp an hour how come I do not see hardly anybody doing it, no matter what world? Just the odd person now and then and they do not stay long. So what is the best fishing xp, I believe it still to be trout & salmon. Thoughts ?

When wearing Guthans should you remove all other items etc so that it gives the special healing attack ? Only ask because I was just trying Guthans whilst wearing Cloak and Dragon Boots and did not get the healing attack. What am I missing here ?

Which would be better: Toktz-ket-xil shield or Rune Defender ? Berserker Helm or Dragon med helm ?
