Still gettin teh level @
no smithing pic because I am a boss like that. also got 82 dg so far, getting teams outside of 117 is the most annoying thing in the world lol. and now that most people know about the dge world it's not even much better than 117 anymore, except for getting the higher level occult floors. oh well, it's still a really fun skill. hopefully soon my friends and I will be good enough to do a lot of floors together instead of finding randoms.
idk what to do for bonus xp weekend, construction is really the only buyable I still need a lot of levels in (apart from farming, in which I plan to do 2 tree runs before anything else). so I'm working on getting mahogany planks at the moment. also anyone who wants to sell me some bstaffs should pm me on here. :P

[image]Members only. Requires an Attack level of 62 and a Dungeoneering level of 62. The ring of vigour has a strength bonus, and reduces the cost of any melee special attack by 10%.
SAFE PVP IS NOW OFFICIALLY BROKEN
3 CLAW SPECS IN A ROW
3 MAUL SPECS IN A ROW
8 DDS SPECS IN A ROW
GOOD GAME
You sir, are a moron.
Good day.
You sir, should read more
Good day.
Apparently you should learn to take your own advice kid.
NO, YOU!!

I didn't know people did that lol. I guess it's up to the subscribers... fame on youtube is absolutely as serious of business as fame in runescape, so I don't see why you your e-fans shouldn't do stuff for you.

guys,
I think the internet might be liberal.
Not that I disagree, I think liberals are definitely better than conservatives when it comes to not being [developmentally delayed]ed about social issues.
Would it be distasteful for the current German government to have an official building of any sort near the location of a former concentration camp? No, because they have nothing to do with what transpired there. In fact, I believe it is the German government that runs the museums inside the camps.
Would it be inappropriate for there to be a religious building of any sort in Jerusalem, where Christians, Muslims, and Jews killed each other for centuries? The number of religious buildings there would appear to indicate no.

By the way, construction is one viable activity to do, all you need to do is buy the logs; the cost of planks is set.
Huh, isn't the best way to do construction by buying the planks beforehand or am I missing something?
Yeah but try buying a large amount of planks now.
But IMO con is not worth wasting the bonus on, since you can get the boost with SC any time.
No, letting your servant convert logs to planks is the fastest possible experience, and is also significantly cheaper. I don't know why people don't know this.
The gp/xp rate differs by about 10gp/xp (for using planks) and 6-7 gp/xp (for using logs). Mahogany planks are over 20gp/xp but logs are about 15 gp/xp.
That blew my mind - can servant unnote and plank logs in one step?

I like to play dungeoneering, but as people have said before me, only with friends or solo. W117 is just... evil. Yes, the rudeness and stupidness of it's population has seeped into the hardware and created a monstrosity. W117 users, beware, the end is nigh!
If w117 were a piece of art, it would be poop in a can
The idiocy of 117 is simply astounding
I've done a decent amount of dungeoneering (level 82) and I'd say I disagree. The only real alternative to w117 is DGE, which is a clan with some very good dungeoneers, and many people who think that they are very good dungeoneers.
Floors are undeniably faster with the pros, but I would not say that's the case of final xp/hour. To do a floor in W117, I allow 5 minutes to get a team and 50 minutes to finish the floor (unless it's occult). All that 2-hour stuff is complete [cabbage], all you have to do is be selective in your teammates.
If I'm doing it with DGE, I allow 20 minutes to get a team and 40 ish minutes for the floor (again, unless it's occult). This is my consistent experience in training, up to this very day. I don't mind, as I just craft battlestaffs while I wait, but the large amounts of dungeoneering 'time' not spent dungeoneering are just frustrating, especially if it's people refusing to play with me because I don't have a hood, despite the fact that the only thing a hood changes is your food consumption (which has never been a problem for me). I guess if you're going to stay with the people for the next 5-10 larges the initial wait pays off, but that's not a playing style I'm able to do.
117 has the danger of ragequitting, but I have been ragequit on before, by a DGE member, for literally no reason than the fact that 3 team members (of the team he created) did not have hoods. DGE is better at dungeoneering than 117, but that's just because it's a community that has devoted itself to learning all the ins and outs of the skill, not because it's some amazing unique creation. They're better than 117, but not by all that much, and I can't say I like the people there all that much more either.
Anways to briefly address the topic, I play because I think it's the most fun skill, and it has great rewards. I do prefer team members who are familiar with the strategies necessary for maximum exp. The main difference between a <1hour and 90 minute+ floor is whether you clear every room or just GDs, and I don't find that clearing skill rooms or key rooms makes the skill any more fun, lol.

I'm interested in buying a chaotic weapon for nothing but pking (I'm maxed in all those combat things). What should I get?
-
Everything is instand bought out...Hope I can snipe some herb sups off the GE before the weekend.
farm them :P
idk what to do, I guess I'll do a couple tree runs in the first 15 mins of gametime and then burn my charms, depending on how sum works. then smith or cons, not many expensives left to max :<

Based on the graphical direction Jagex went with the occult floors, I'm kind of excited to see what warped floors. I wonder if they'll take "warped" literally and abandon some of the previous generic squares for weirder shaped rooms.

I know herbicide isn't efficient, but I'm actually thinking about getting it so I can do an aberrant spectres task without spending 80% of my time right clicking on that grimy guam to see if there is a ranarr underneath it.
Thats a really good point actually.
I concur. It would be really convenient.
well leech def (when it reaches full power) drains your opponent's def by 25% (which would similar to raising ranged 20%, right?) and raises yours by 10%. it drains 1 point per 3.6 seconds.
if the range prayer has the same drain rate as augury, it will be 1 point per 1.8 seconds. that means you could use leech ranged (for an additional, eventual 10% boost to ranged), thus getting 35% ranged effectively (I think?) and 25% def for the same rate. so I don't think I'll be getting off of curses.

if I (1) were Jagex and (2) cared about what people said on TIF, I would stop posting BTS and stop informing players when updates would (and would not) occur because of the bs on this thread lol
seriously if you went through all 164 pages of this, how many rage of delayed update posts would there be? my suspicion is that every time an update didn't happen on a monday or tuesday, there were multiple posts of exactly that sort. you'd think after the 5th time you spend an hour refreshing the RS homepage you learn that the expected benefits do not outweigh the considerable waste of time
-
Sad face about no update today, but as I am a mature and uncomplaining scaper, I have no problems with this. I shall do things in Runescape besides dungeoneering, or maybe even do something that isn't Runescape. I have no desire for Jagex to release an update which they have not finished working on, nor to go continuously out of their way to tell their players 'sorry no update today' at the most convenient time possible for their players, which is not their duty.
-
Wednesday isn't the most common update day, but I think it's common enough that these complaints don't really make sense. 'amg the jargonex corporation didnt release an update on teh day they release 65% of their updates wtf'
-
To be perfectly honest I don't have any qualms about doing a quest for a friend or helping him out merching in exchange for him becoming my battlestaff slave. It's their choice. I'm 100% that no one but me is going to be logging onto my account as long as I'm interested in RS though.
-
my thought is raise the skill caps to 120 with no consideration as to the consequences and be like GOGOGO
complete wildy would be fun as well lol. would cause lots of inflation if the game is going to close down though haha
realistically though they will probably release a big final quest and stop updating
-
this actually raised my opinion of bandos; I'd figured it was entirely useless and slayed in pros top + v skirt. However, I can probably say that I value time at well over 1m/hour so I might have to rethink that
-
good guide but the biggest flaw is that you also say how to EP without risk of getting pked by this method, lol. :P
still excellently written
-
great guide, I didn't know you could enter your pin without banking amg lol
one question: the rune hasta has +36 stab and +42 strength versus +67 stab and +50 strength, but it counts as a spear... is this worth considering or not?
-
Making them unassistable would not be a terrible idea, if you boosted the lamps you'd get from trading them in.
Instead of 5k, or whatever terrible amount it is, the trade-in lamps should give exp relative that what form of effigy you traded in.
If you traded in a gorged ancient effigy, the lamp would give you exp only slightly lower than a dragonkin lamp. If you traded in one with level 91 reqs, the lamp would reward significantly less (yet still reasonable) experience. It would encourage people to level up the relevant skills, yet still be able to get a decent exp reward if they can't fully investigate an effigy.
I think that's a pretty good idea
-
I already know people who train fishing, slayer, and runecrafting by killing tormented demons lol. effigies do not need any boosts - quite the opposite, in my opinion
-
if it does mean anything beyond the level of the clue they had better have those darn celtic knots at the top
-
Nope.
On the other hand, the ability to assist effigies should be removed.
it sounds harsh, but this. effigies are just too good imo.

As we all know, the main goal of rushing is to maximize XP. However, outside of the usual key grabbing and monster/boss killing, I've wondered for a while what forms of skilling are acceptable in a typical rush party. As skilling deviates from the normal rushing strategy, the tradeoff here is slowing down the rest of the party to gain some non-combat XP and to facilitate floor completion. To that end, what tasks are tolerated and can be performed? On a scale of 0-10, with 0 being strongly discouraged and likely to result in getting kicked from the party, to 10 being strongly encouraged, how would you rate the following tasks?
1. Fishing
2. Cooking food
3. Farming mushrooms
4. Crafting ranged/mage armor
5. Farming herbs
6. Mixing melee/defence potions
7. High alching
8. Mining Ores
9. Smelting ores / Smithing armor
10. Thieving chests
11. Crafting combat/Non combat runes
12. Cutting trees
Depends what you mean by rushing. For C1s 1-24 you literally should not do anything but clear GDs, move keys, and kill the boss. For the the larges, GDs are always the first priority. If there aren't any of those, do whatever needs to be done. Make a potion if there's a skill door that requires a boost, or failing that gather resources useful to the team. This could be making armor, runes (though typically you don't need many unless the boss is a mage boss), food, or gathering coins for an altar. If I see a chest I loot it as it doesn't really take time, but I wouldn't go around looking for them lol.
