  1. I looked at my bank and noticed I was low on Swordies, so I took a trip to Catherby. Nobody was there, not even a bot. Started harpooning and the 4th fish I catch is a Big Swordfish. Not sure how rare this is, just wanted to share.

Edit: I take that back, I've just caught another Big Swordfish.

    Runescape in my OT?

Cathy's cool though, it can stay in OT. It was my favorite town.

  2. So is it like the change between RSC->RS2, meaning...just graphical improvements?

Apparently there's a lot of new interface things and a change of era. Or something.

So is it like the change between RSC->RS2, meaning...just graphical improvements?

Interface/sound improvements and a story event. A big part of it was delayed for a while as well.

Ah right, I briefly remember reading something about that...Guthix's dead or something?

Just means the armies of Zamorak can march upon Gliendor!

...When was the last time someone said those words in OT? :twss:

  3. Tried our Warbands today.

It's a glorious game. You just need to remember, your army does the fighting for you. Hard to brake the habit of "I'm the only skilled teammate" other games have.

Another habit to break: Warband's melee combat is so good, everything else sucks in comparison. Part of the reason why I stopped playing Skyrim, lol.

  4. They're not really "free", they're just paid for collectively. Unless the professors work for no pay and the buildings were constructed by slaves then you're paying for them in some way.

That was the case under the USSR.

  5. Ah, I was hoping Sim City 4 was in some part similar to Sim City 2000 (I am pretty sure this is the version I remember), where I can design the layout of my own city.

    It is.

There's two types of (unofficial) game modes, similar to Minecraft if you know of it:

    • Vanilla/Mayor-mode: Play as the mayor and build your city thru budgeting, planning, and time. You'll need to "play" the game: attract residents, build infrastructure, make your subjects happy, promote wealthier residents/businesses, etc.

    • Creative: Build whatever, whenever, free, instantly. This is like the SC2K Urban Renewal Kit if you've ever used it.

Problem is, to get to the "creative mode" you need to get mods. Mods that make all buildings ploppable, infinite money, no resident needs, etc., so you can just focus on designing your metropolis.

    ----

I've lost track on what I said what I bought so far, so I'll make a list:

Half Life Collection......Late to the party on this, never played any Half Life. Haven't played it yet.

Sleeping Dogs......Entertaining but feels too similar to GTA4. For $6 it's still a bargain. Not done with it yet, still in the beginning.

Deux Ex: Human Revolution...Another late to the party. Haven't played it yet.

Borderlands 2......Great fun. Gunzerking is the best!

Definitely waiting for Kebal Space Program to go for 75%, hell I'll buy it at 50% at this rate.

  6. The Win8 Metro UI pissed me off until I realized it's just a really big Start Menu.

Add a large Desktop button and you're good. I like it a lot, actually.

  7. Soldiers are glorified and their job is to kill.

Depends on the situation...which makes controversy. I just hope race riots don't start happening...but since I haven't heard of any yet, it's midnight and I heard his conviction 6 hours ago, I don't there will be any.

  8. I'm grateful my Facebook isn't shit. Just a bunch of good guys and girls. Sometimes I get the occasional "Be a better person" post, but it's not over-exaggerated nor long.

  9. Borderlands 2 won the first Voter's Pick. Exactly what I wanted.

My franchise owners are collaborating with Gaben. Guess who got their paycheck today?

So far I'm going for Borderlands 2, Mars: War Logs, Kerbal Space Project, and Hearts of Iron 3 expansions.

  10. Oh, and I fired a kid last night and I had to deal with his mom coming in to work today teary eyed basically begging me to reconsider. That was awkward as all sin.

Oh boy. What gives parents that this is a good idea?

    ---

Working as delivery man for 7 months now, driving for almost three years, I got my first roadkill today. Bugs was in the clear when he decided to abort the crossing and head back.

Then the Bunny God twisted my fate and made me drive up that road three times later that day.

  11. I also suppose distance is another factor why I don't like the beach. 70 miles across the LA cityscape. :-?

    Also we're nearing 2000 pages here...The year of Y2k!

  12. Contrast to popular belief, not all Californians surf or find an attraction to the beach.

I like swimming, hate the beach: the sand, the crowds, the [bleep]ing traffic, the even more worse parking cost.
