if you dont want to mine it yourself and you're happy to take ores off a power miner, ask him to trade them to you... im sure he'd be happy to as it makes it quicker for him

umm... doing flax into bow strings if you're a member... impossible if you're f2p... it's one of those skills that... just... isn't cool like that, it's not easy to go up levels and it's almost never profitable... good luck though, i personally just spend 1.5mil on cowhides to get to level 70 crafting =P

i reckon... your skills base is really bad dude, there's a few major ways to gain money.. one is to use your skills to either gather products or make products that will give you profit... or to merchant, which you need a lot of money to start with to do.... seeing as u say you dont even have 650k, you'll have to get some skill up... i agree that mining iron is probably your best bet.

i was wondering if somebody could give me the time (in seconds) it takes to smelt 1 bar of steel into 4 cannonballs. im told it takes a while, significantly longer than smelting ores into bars.

i researched all this stuff, the quickest way to get crafting xp by yourself is to kill cows at crafting guild, and tan and craft the hides.. then drop them =P (it'll cost 3gp per hide though) i didn't keep my stats, but making the clay in the guild wasn't far behind the cow hides... maybe 7 minutes for the clay and 5 minutes for the cow hides? i ended up buying cow hides and using them to get to lvl 70 crafting =P
