  1. Thats what I was doing. But I had over 35 slots for clan items. Thats a nice chunk of space, even if you a member =/ I think I solved the problem. I got a friend to donate the cash that I was going to out there (from his account), and for his birthday I'm going to buy him a big present :)
  2. Are you suggesting something like this: The leader creates a bank account, and has another trust worthy member create another "bank" account. The leader trades stuff to the "bank" who trades it to the real bank? This is still against rules. Your not allowed to trade to a friend, and have them trade to another account that you have control of. However, there is one idea I just came up with. Say I give a friend of mine 200k cash (as a gift), then he traded 1k iron bars to the bank, and the bank sold the 1k iron bars at 200 ea. Bit of a stretch I know. But not technically against the rule.
  3. The clan bank would only be used to store items that have been donated by members, and would only be used for events such as wars, skilling Olympics, etc. I expect people who attend clan Pk's to provide their own armor and weps. The only time anything would be belonging to the clan would be used for Pk's is if someone needed cape, str pot, or food. And it would only be as a last resort.
  4. Keeps friend off and use IRC is the best way. As long as you know that no1 in your channel is a scout. And if you see a scout before it starts, hop, and tell the other guys what happened so they know which world to hop to as well.
  5. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=573 ... ight=banks Thats your post Bufoman. The only real problem I can see here is the fact that I have tonnes of items and cash in my bank that I would like to put into my clan bank, but that goes against Jagex rules. But this stuff is really clogging up my account. The only other option I can see is this: I trade my stuff to a trustworthy clan member, and wait a few days (make it seem as though it were a gift or something) then have him trade it to the bank. Sound like a good idea?
  6. So what system do you have in place now? Do you still use a clan bank?
  7. I posted this on RS forums, but got little response, so here goes. I was wondering if creating a separate account for clan, to hold it's wealth, is allowed, and debate whether or not it should be. My idea of a clan bank would work like this: You create an account, take it through Tutorial Island, but DON'T train any skills. Only 1 clan member has access to this account. If that clan member wishes to make a donation from his/her main account, trade it to a trustworthy clan member, who would trade it to the Bank. I'll go through all the rules and see how they might conflict with this. Rule 1 - No Conflict Rule 2 - If the clan leader closed clan, stole everything, then yes it would be a scam. But it's your choice to donate. Rule 3 - No Conflict Rule 4 - No Conflict Rule 5 - No Conflict Rule 6 - No, only one person will know secret word and pin. Rule 7 - No Conflict Rule 8 - According to this, I cannot donate to my own clan because I have control of this account. Rule 9 - No Conflict Rule 10 - No Conflict Rule 11 - No Conflict Rule 12 - No Conflict Rule 13 - No Conflict Rule 14 - No Conflict Rule 15 - No Conflict Can someone please clarify clan bank account for me please. And is there a rule around Rule 8 without technically breaking it?
  8. Good old reliable Aliant... even when a tree takes out a telephone cable servicing serveral families, it still only takes them about 2 weeks to survey the damage, let alone repair it ... Yeah, I like rant about Aliant. Customer service is horrible I found. Sorry I can't be of more help with your problem.
  9. Thanks for the help guys. I got everything to work after. Had some problems -as a matter of fact, still having- some problems with my FTP client connecting to my webhost, but I think it just might be a bad host, or my connection is sick :boohoo:
  10. Thats what I was going to ask. If your running the lastest Firefox 2.0.1 (I think it's called), then it might just be the browser doesn't support whatever your having problems with. Some people have found that online tools don't always work with the new Firefox (some kind of coding issue). While cleaning cashe/cookies seems the more likely solution, if that still doesn't work, install an old version of Firefox and see if everything is better then.
  11. Seems this doesn't work with PJIRC, at least not the one on dvclan.org that uses dark-storm as it's server. I might download mIRC and try using that. The help commands above work, and Tip.It has a bit of info on it on it's caht page. Good Old Tip.It, always there when I need them
  12. Thanks, I'll try that. Won't have time tonight (I was about to leave just now lol), but I'll look at it first thing tomorrow. If it doesn't work I'll be back :D
  13. W3 schools has all this HTML Try It Editors. A thing I found with these is that they will display any HTML, so it's good if you want to try out a code without using it on your site first. Although the area that shows what the page will look like is a bit small. Also, take as many Tech courses as you can in High School =P
  14. Bump Ok, so I've downloaded the PJIRC client, loaded the right files onto SmartFTP for my site, and edited the Index with proper coding. Now how do I register a channel with a server??? This problem has confounded me!! I tried PJIRC's help topics, but the closest it comes to the topic is mentioning that PJIRC isn't a server. If you can give me any tips, pointers, a shot of Ol' South, or any help at all, please do so. Website is here: http://lordsofrs.lo.funpic.org/chat The HTML coding on the Index page looks like this atm: *Note: I just randomly put in dark-storm as a server in the fetal hope that it might just start working. No registered channel with them.
  15. Add me to your list of supporters. It's annoying now to do multi-casting without having auto-cast on.
