  1. The problem is everyone is thinking of rare in the runescape noun form, like "he has a rare." The idea was not saying that bronze armor is classified as a rare, but more describing it as rare, because it's not commonly seen, which perfectly fits the adjective, 'rare'. Get it? Anyway, I always though steel was pretty rare. Alot of people just seem to not want to shell out the money (early on) for steel, and just wait for mith. Steel wars aside, of course.
  2. Not true. Those letters reveal upcoming updates all the time. Haven't you ever read the letters of the Chaos Elemental? And from the looks of things, I fail to see where you think there's a new weapon coming out Lakitsym_Rose. They say "the very weapons that make you strong..." which suggests Dragonkin are the creators of Dragon Weapons, and those already exist. It definitely sounds like they'll be releasing the Dragonkin stronghold eventually though. Meaning the better the weapons they introduce the closer they get to introducing Kin? First of all, the postbag from the hedge has given hints on upcoming updates. And not just from the chaos elemental. I think there was at least one from the drunken dwarf. That being said, I'm not usually one to read into updates. They said the weapons that are making us strong bring their return closer. Them being related to dragon weapons does make since. And there are new dragon weapons coming. Still, don't hold your breath. I'm not gunna start thinking the kin are coming at least until a BTS mentions a sequel to tail of 2 cats. Again, why exactly? Did you read my theory about it? I'm not saying you have to believe it of course, but there are ways it could makes sense. And there aren't new dragon weapons coming, in the literal sense. Just dragon weapons we've never found.
  3. About the dragon weapons coming from Freneskae, here's my theory. The dragonkin were here in the beginning. Whether the myth about them being here before Guthix itself is true or not, they, as a race, were here before all others. I believe the elves were next, but that's not the point. Then the mahjarrat, under the control of Icthralin, come. There are other mahjarrat as well, Armadyl and Saradomin come to mind, but as of now they aren't important. At this time, like the elves, the gateway to Freneskae from Gielenor, and vice versa, still stands. The mahjarrat find the fabled race called the dragonkin, and somehow harness their power. They go back to Freneskae, and using tools only found there, smith weapons, and put the power of the dragonkin in it. Whether it was the Mahjarrat or the equivelant of dwarves on Freneskae who actually smithes them, it doesn't matter. The Mahjarrat return with the weapons, thousands of them. And now all that is left is buried in the sand of the desert, or in keeping of pwoerful beings. How the dragon weapons are connected to the dragonkin? I do not know, although it is safe to presume that if a dragonkin who lost his strength from a weapons lived on, he may have some sort of connection to the very weapon he 'made' I could be wrong though :P
  4. Story has never really been a major part of runescape, which is unfortunate. I think the biggest problem is how, like someone said, the main part of it is based on the gods, yet a lot of the information on the gods is constantly mixed up. At one point Jagex mods on the forums were saying Armadyl and Zaros were gods of Fire and Ice (obviously untrue) and now they say most say they are evil and good, while some aren't specific at all. In the knowledge base it says that Saradomin and Zamorak helped shape Gielenor, yet we know form the god letters and the ghostly robes mini-quest that it is not so. My friends and I tried learning everything there is to know awhile ago about runescape lore. It didn't yield much, after years, since there just wasn't enough info. They don't care much about the storyline, to most of the mods they seem to think its just there. I have a feeling the storyline won't get better too. You'll have your occasional interesting quest, but otherwise, if the same trends continue, the story isn't going anywhere.
  5. Prince Ali Rescue. So many items, atleast it was to me back then, and when I tried it, not only was I only about level 23, I still had iron armor, so the jail guards did considerable damage to me. When I did Ernest the chicken, I ended up using my first guide, so it wasn't annoying. Prince Ali Rescue was annoying with a guide.

  8. Chapter 1: The Man in Armor James opened his eyes as sunlight flooded in through the window. He quickly closed them again tight to give himself time to adjust. He had overslept by a long shot. He was supposed to get before dawn and start the day. Why his father didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t wake him up, he didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t know. ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅJames! Ye̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ slept in didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t ya! Get to work; you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll be working your fingers raw today.̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  9. For the vampires, wasn't there a quest where you see a werewolf or vampire on the other side of the salve? That means it's pretty pointless. Especially with that broken fence. Also, necromancers are gaining power. The guy south of Falador (can never remember the name) isn't the only one to watch out for, although he's proof that they exist. Maybe a demon slayer sequel? Delrith was the demon that destroyed Varrock last time, when it was still Avarrocka. Since the dark wizards are constantly re-summoning him, maybe someone finally gets through? Pure speculation of course, it would be a very interesting update. Something tells me it's too much though, even though I'd lvoe it.
