Well, I just got him for the 5th time, so now I have full zombie. From what I understand if you get him again you just get 500gp. If you ever lose any of the clothes, you get them back in original order when you get him again.
-
Well, I just got him again, this time from bones I collect from the cow fields, so that answers that. And it is also strange how I spent thousands of bones without getting him and now I got him twice in one hour!
-
I'd also like to mention that the bones that triggered him were bones from my own kill, so thus far I have not seen him come from bones I found and buried. Please, someone refute this if possible, if you've definitely gotten Leo from bones you simply picked up. Because this will be more encouraging, and I can revert to running around the cow yard picking them up instead of bothering with Goblins.
-
YAYYY!!! I finally got Leo for the third stage just now. So now I have my mask too.
-
I'll also mention, parenthetically, that I have gotten "BRAINNSSSS" Zombie and "Leave This Place!" Shade about 5 times each since I have been trying to trigger Leo.

As I had described in another post, I got Leo and kept the first set. Then I pointedly decided "ok, I want to get him again" and so I started killing goblins and burying bones... literally within about 1/2 hour, he shows up and I got my second set. Since then, however, I think I've buried several thousand bones, as I said in my other post, my prayer has leveled from around 37 or 38 - I don't quite remember - all the way to 42 thus far. I've tried 3 basic ways of doing this: Killing zombies and skellies down under the Draynor tunnel (this is how I got him the first time), killing goblins up in the goblin village (quicker kills = more bones, and I got him the second time there), and third: picking up and burying bones in the cow fields. But I have yet to get him again, so I really don't think it has anything to do with quantity. Or it could be that I've just been extremely unlucky. For example, I'm a level 65 playing for several months now, and only a week or so ago did I receive the mime event. I have a tiny theory but someone in the game said it is not so - maybe I'll throw it out here and see what y'all think: my theory is that Leo only shows up when you bury bones that are from your own kill - meaning, running around picking up bones and burying them won't do it, you have to bury bones from your own kill. Any thoughts or evidence to the contrary are welcome please. Anyway, it is kind of frustrating, but 2 very good things are happening: my prayer level is going way up, and I am also leveling my fighting skills. PS - I spent some time up in wildy by the big bones too - no help.

Never mind, just found my answer.

I'm extremely frustrated. The first time I got this event, I was a total dumb%$%% I threw the stuff away after, not knowing what the heck it was for. BIG mistake I regret now. Ok so ever since, I have gotten the event twice more, so now I have the shirt, trousers, gloves and boots. I eagerly await another time. However, what do y'all think of this: After the idiotic thing I did, the next time I got the event, I had already learned about what the things are so I had already decided I was going to keep the stuff. Ok so I get the event, then I go crazy burying bones - I must have buried a few hundred and I got the event again. But since then, I've leveled from prayer 38 to 42 without getting Leo again!! How frustrating! I don't know the actual numbers but I have to have buried several thousand bones already!! I hardly did any big bones, only this morning but for naught. Oh well, I guess the desire for this event is a good way to get people to up their prayer

Some players would probably be wrong

Um, I'm going to ask a dumb question: Are clues/treasure trails only members? I can't find a definitive statement on this in any FAQs, but I've never ever gotten a clue (nor do I have one, perhaps ;)

Thanks for such a detailed reply! Ok first, yes one of the first things I did was install the latest Morgan Stream Switcher. I figured, like you did, that although I cannot imagine what RS would need from it, maybe mine is corrupt, incomplete or out of date. But installing the latest MSS didn't help. Interesting adea about the ads, that it could be the adblock plugin itself. But unfortunately it has happened from within the RS client too! I didn't mean to imply the Firefox per se was what I had a problem with, just the fact that the backspace has a dangerous nature when you are typing within a game. About the host blocking, I will try that. As per a previous post I mentioned that as of now I'm ok with using the RS client in low-detail mode. I actually got a popup ad from it, though, which really ticked me off. Micro$oft CLAIMS to have made a decent popup blocker, but it just isn't true; one of their greatest business tactics is, pardon the expression, pimping out all users of IE to adverts. Websites know that their ads will be seen more often with IE, so they code strictly for IE. You see Firefox is an end-user's friend, but a web-advertisers enemy. Invert that statement for IE. Anyway, like I said, thanks for the info, you definitely addressed them in a very good manner. I am ok now using the RS client, and a bit more tweaking should get rid of the popup ads. They only show up once in a while anyway. Peace, all.

Well well, it seems that sound is disabled in low-detail mode. I never knew that. Ok so now I've worked around the audio problem, basically by having no audio, but weird thing is I still had the issue with having to click the game occasionally to get focus back. I haven't been booted though, and hopefully won't but I'm going to just test it next time I lose focus on the game, I will hit backspace and see if it throws me back to main menu. I am using the stand-alone client, and I reduced my screen res to 800x600. Finally, I scroll the game console slightly so I am left with a perfect full-screen game with no ads visible.
-
I have not, but I cannot imagine anything whatsoever that such an attempt would do for either problem. Technically there is nothing about the detail quality of the applet that would change the CODEC it uses for audio, nor the way Firefox responds to advertisements loading in other frames. Just for kicks, I'll try it anyway.

This can't be good!

Yes I have. And of course, since all it does is wrap IE, I get the same Morgan Stream Switcher crash as within IE.
