I've opened it up and used compressed air to clear dust, but it didnt help, i also have my computer plugged into a surge protector (which has 7/8 plugs in) would that be an issue? i only have that box to not restart unchecked are there others? also does this point to it NOT being hardware failure such as RAM or Graphics card or even motherboard since theres no bluescreen? Like i said sometimes it goes 8 hours without crashing sometimes it goes every few minutes, so far i switched to rs-ld and it hasnt crashed where as hd pretty much crashes instantly, and sometimes it crashes without rs starting up at all i've cut down on applications aswell of things i have open at a time (not sure if i start up more it'll crash should i try?). Last night i downloaded latest drivers from nvidia which i havent updated in months and it was uncompatible it wouldnt get past the windows xp screen with loading bar once it got past that screen stayed black with no cursor so i did it by latest known working configuration.

Also since july my dvd drive hasnt worked when i put a disk in computer resets, so that points to psu since i bought a new one and that didnt work, but could this be a seperate problem, since i switched to RS LD no crashes, is that still the power, or could this be an entirely different issue?

I improvised after not being willing to pay rediculous prices, I used my cat, bit it then threw it at my victim hits pretty much the same, but its free.

Wow, I'd sure love to find the setting for that in my XP installations. :P Anyway, check the inside of your computer. If you see a mound of dust on fans, the CPU cooling block, and blocking more than 20% of the vents, then it's definitely overheating. If you want to clean it out, take a facemask and some compressed air, and blow it all out. You don't have to clean it out right now, but do check the inside, and let us know how much dust is actually in there. Did that earlier today, also had both sides off the past 2 days, to check out if it was overheating it still crashed

Yes it's windows xp.. I don't think its because of too many processes, I've watched films, whilst playing RS-HD and been talking to friends at same time before, so I dont think it can be this. Also to narrow it down, I recently took all detail options off and havent crashed, so I think maybe PSU, or could it be the Graphics card/RAM? I'm going to take it to a shop on monday, and buy new parts not sure what to buy to test a PSU and if its still crashing go back the next day, tommorow (sunday) i'm going to run it in low detail mode all day and see if it crashes then maybe start viewing youtube etc see if as i build up the list it will tell differently.

Basically over past few weeks I've been crashing occasionally, thats computer restarts without warning back to bios screen the power doesnt go off completely just restarts right onto bios screen and then eventually back to desktop like normal. It used to be once every few weeks, then every morning, now every few hours, and sometimes doesn't do it for about 8 hours. So I politely asked me friend with a degree in computing, to which he replied "It's broken" note i dont have to be straining the pc with heavy tasks I could just be in rs hd, for it to crash and this computer is only 2 years old. My specs. Dual core 2.8 Ghz Processer. 1GB Ram. NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT Graphics card Since buying my computer I have not upgraded it or changed anything I have never had problems with it and it's up to date with windows updates, with java, with my graphics card drivers. As some as you know a week today is my 99 slayer & summon party and to crash on that it would frustrate me immensly any help would be appreciated. Thank you

200 SC hammers, wow somebodys crazy, my question is, if you're only getting 200, why get rid of the other 290 slots? :P Really no clue. >_< Most my stuff was random quest items I didn't drop after finishing the quest, or other random things. >_< I had 1k snowballs and 1k serum 207s too, that was so not fun cause you can't note them and they don't stack. -.- Ouch painful :D

I did my penguins day of glitch aswell, before it all happened, i just cashed in as normal, nothing happened to me either i didn't do more than 10 penguins though, i did 10 like i do every other week so thats maybe why lol not only is this bug unfair to other players it's also cruelty to penguins
