Jagex, The Zero-tolerance approach your showing is the right way to go, and it let's the people who are trying for lenience to fall in line. The players involved know it was bug abuse and must reap the consequences, its an example to everyone that the rules must not be broken, and that if you find a bug to report it to Jagex IMMEDIATELY. Bug abuse to this degree should be delt with severley. ----------------------------------------------------------- Thank you Jagex for looking it into it, over the past year the way you've delt with the RWTERS, Goldfarmers etc, has been for the best of the game and promotes fairplay, so respect for that, and respect for rectifying the mistake made.. which let's face it happens in the games business

Because it's bug abuse. Just because one person didn't get caught doesn't mean it's allowed all of a sudden. Especially with a bug that caused quite the bit of impact on the game. Well I don't know, but it isn't relevant either. Point still stands. It's still more than enough to get banned. I have to agree 100% with this make an impression like a public hanging would post it on the front page and show that you did something to say don't do it next time otherwise it will be you. Frankly I would be as happy with a penguin XP rollback but I am wondering what will happen to the people wearing the skill capes they got from getting 99 with that bug. Ruined alot of skills though which makes me mad especially the people who got the ones that cost alot of require alot of patience. Lets make a riot in fally rawr!!! World? :lol: rollback would be wise for penguins, even people like me who got 10 penguins yesterday, i'd be happy to track then again and lose the 36k slayer xp i got just for the sake of those people who got 500 or whatever don't walk away unpunished. I just hope they dont ignore it, jagex have macro detection systems etc, so surely they have ways to see who clicked a penguin 200+ times by "accident" then accidentally traded in the points and accidentally examined the penguin 50 more times!

I personally believe zero tolerance for exploiting something like this, if jagex allows people to get away with this again, because i know bugs like this have happened before and people have gotten away with it then, they may aswell make macros legal, if this bug is fair and they want to promote cheating then they should compensate the people who didnt abuse the bug, i know a few people who jumped alot of xp yesterday that isnt possible so i'm keeping an eye on those people and if they don't get banned it shows how the rules are bent. Scenarios such as my 7.6 blackmarks for not doing anything close to this yet people who exploit a serious bug, enjoy your xp and no black marks, thanks for the "special" treatment. I seriously hope they track them and make it front page news saying this is what you get step in line we dont want to see it again. Jagex have seriously CABBAGED up on a few occasions already this year, making 30m a day off flatpacks for fremmy diarys, now this, jeeze test your content.

Meh i bet jagex dont do anything about it, someone gained 4.2m or so in farming a few months back abusing a bug he got away with it so.. i guess somehow they can only rollback the penguin points but i doubt it, so most likely people should enjoy their free 99s i hope they do get banned they shouldn't encourage rule breaking especially abusing a bug should be some way to trace it :\ also they shouldnt keep it quiet, when they do ban they should make it front page news to keep people in-line.
