RuneScape Information

  1. I tried using an Explorers Ring to help me make enough Earth Runes. On several occasions I was very close like 2-3 Earth Runes from the achievement. However I tried without the Explorers Ring a few times and on one occasion I got 101 Earth Runes but never got the achievement somehow? Any ideas? By the way I've got 70 Rune Crafting, although it states it can be done with level 78 Rune Crafting there is also a chance of doing it at around 56 Rune Crafting I think with a bit of luck.So it's defiantly possible at 70 Rune Crafting, but never got achievement Maybe I just got lucky because my rc level is 77. I was wearing my explorer ring and managed to turn 28 essences into 104 earth runes on my first try.
  2. You can also wear the explorer ring 2(finished Lumbridge easy tasks) to help boost your chance of making 100 runes simultaneously
  3. More on the Mahjarrat from the Post Bags. Post Bag 20 [hide=]Azzanadra, It has been a while since I began to ponder this question, however it has only been recently that I have gotten around to bother to ask it. In my travels across these lands I have run into various Mahjarrat - You, Akthanakos, Enakhra, Hazeel, Lucien and Zemouregal - but I have been wondering, are you the only 6 Mahjarrat left? Or are the others just in hiding, or have they already gone north? If so, would you provide a list of all the other Mahjarrat, so we, The Followers of Zaros, could be more aware of our enemies, and allies? For the Glory of Zaros! A Follower Unknown. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loyal soldier, I am troubled to hear that the traitors still live - I especially bear no love towards the dog Lucien. His betrayal was greater than most, so I encourage you to do all you can to eliminate this abomination. Die for our cause, if you must. As to the number of my tribe that remain, I must concede ignorance - though I should be surprised if there were only six of us left. We are near-immortal, and only die very occasionally. During the time of my imprisonment no more than a dozen are surely slain, and no doubt a few more are weakened or entrapped as I was. In my time we ruled these lands like gods; times, it seems, have changed. Before I was imprisoned there were many of us, the most powerful of which you have named - but do not forget Sliske the serpent-tongued, who delves the shadows, and the impostor Zamorak, who calls himself a god. For strength and our Empty Lord, Azzanadra[/hide] Post Bag 27[hide=]To the wise old man, Juna, and Reldo. Of all the beings I have met in my travels, you are among the wisest and most learned of all. If its not too much trouble, there are a few questions that have been bothering me for a while and every time someone asks them, the question is dodged. I am hoping that I may get some answers from you about Zaros. In all my research I have found no images of Zaros or and for of description so my first question is, what does Zaros look like? Another question I have is about artifacts relating to Zaros. During the time before he was betrayed, Zaros was possibly the most powerful god in existence. Yet only one city remains with living followers, and they only had one artifact of Zaros in their possession, a staff with the symbol of Zaros at the end. Even the dig site near Varrok had more artifacts. Where might other items be found? Finally, during the god wars many different races followed different gods. The goblins followed Bandos, the humans followed whoever they saw fit, but who followed Zaros? I hope you can help put my mind at ease. (Even though I have asked the wise old man about Zaros he never gives me an answer, so maybe he will get the hint that I know how dangerous Zaros is and yet I wont give up seeking answers just because of this fact.) Thank you in advance, Angel S Bane ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Wise Old Man, Reldo and Juna, respectively, weren't willing, able or interested in answering this letter. So I took the liberty of passing it on to Eblis over at the Bandit Camp, who was more than happy to answer your questions. -Postie Pete ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Angel S Bane, Our loyalty here in the Bandit Camp is to Zaros, the banished one, though it is true we are few in number these days. Zaros was defeated at the end of the Second Age, before the God Wars. Subsequently, most of Zaros's followers switched allegiance to other gods out of fear, opportunism or necessity. The few remaining loyal followers of Zaros were not numerous enough to directly involve themselves in that war. Some, like Sliske, had apparently disappeared into hiding; others, like Akthanakos and our master, Azzanadra, had been imprisoned. Why is there little evidence of Zaros's existence? Well, history is written by the victors. There are many reasons why Zaros is no longer remembered: the greed of Zamorak's desire for even greater power leading to the destructive God Wars; the arrogance of Saradomin in trying to erase Zaros's memory from the world. This 'Dig Site' you mention sounds most intriguing... I may have to pay it a visit. As to Zaros's appearance...well, a god can take many forms. The stories of my people speak only in metaphor. It is our hope that, even if it takes us a thousand lifetimes, we can return our lord to power, so the world can once again place its eyes upon his glorious visage. Eblis[/hide] Post Bag 28[hide=]Dear readers, writers and researchers, These are dark times, indeed: each day I hear more reports of strange goings-on in Morytania, wicked deeds and foul murders in the west, unnatural creatures assaulting innocent wanderers, and worse things besides. Of special concern to me and my liege, King Roald, are the tales of the movements of the mahjarrat. Despite the fact that mighty Varrock has several times been threatened by these mysterious and evil creatures, we know shamefully little of what they are, where they come from and what their plans might be. We do, of course, know the Legend of Arrav, and a small scattering of other, shorter tales, but without an overview of their actions, the mahjarrat remain a terrifying prospect. To this end, I am compiling a collection of all of the myths of the Mahjarrat to present to King Roald. With luck, we will be able to predict their plans and, if necessary, work to confound them. So, with your extensive experience wandering the world and observing the subtleties of other cultures, I hope that you may be able to furnish me with your own thoughts on the history of these vile and manipulative fiends. Where are they from? What are they planning? How many remain to scar our wonderful world? Yours academically, Reldo ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dear Reldo This is actually my second response to your letter. The first one I realised was unsatisfying to your request. Firstly, it was too long, secondly, it was dealing with many more conflicts that the Mahjarrat, and I realised that the Mahjarrats history and what has happened to them that you were interested in knowing. And so, without further delay, heres my version, based around historical facts, stories and events that I have laid my eyes and ears upon. The Mahjarrat is a race of strong warriors, who originally came from another world, known to us only as Freneskae. This world was a world of constant warfare, which is why the Mahjarrat have gone to become as strong as they are. The Mahjarrat are not by any means immortal, but their strength is far superior to most of the beings in RuneScape, and their lifespan far longer than humans. When the Mahjarrat first came to this world, they served under the desert god Ichlarin, the god of the dead. Then one day, during the second age, another god approached them and offered them to serve under his rule, this god was the dread lord Zaros, a name which has almost been forgotten by the world, as the Saradominists have done everything in their power to delete all traces of his existence throughout the ages. The Mahjarrat Azzanadra said of Zaros that this god understood the Mahjarrat and their ways much better than Ichlarin, and that Ichlarin had never controlled the Mahjarrat, and in all honesty, I dont think any god could possibly control the Mahjarrat against their will. The Mahjarrat eventually abandoned Ichlarin and joined forces with Zaros, and with them in his army he quickly became the ruler of large parts of the land. It was when Zaros had become the strongest of Gods that Zamorak, merely a mortal Mahjarrat at the time and the general of Zaros forces, had grown power hungry. Zamorak wished to take the power for himself, and so, with the help of some fellow Mahjarrat and the Vampyre Lord Drakan, he managed to get his hands on the Staff of Armadyl, a very powerful weapon. Zamorak then encountered Zaros wielding the Godstaff of Armadyl in his hands, but even though Zamorak had the help of a God weapon, he was still not able to defeat Zaros. But it was then that Zaros tripped and fell onto the Godstaff of Armadyl which impaled him. A bright light was seen, and both began to fade out of existence. The battle was over and they were both gone, and as a result the Zarosian empire quickly fell to Saradomins forces without a god to defend it. But then one day Zamorak reappeared, reborn and now immortal. The Staff of Armadyl had transferred some of Zaros godly powers to Zamorak, and he was now a god himself. The following thing that happened was the God Wars between the god Saradomin, Zamorak, Bandos and Armadyl. While Zamorak and Zaros were gone, the Zamorakian and the Zarosian Mahjarrats fought, many were killed and more were trapped. Below I will explain about each individual Mahjarrat I have come to know of, who they are aligned to, and what have happened to them. Lets start with the Zamorakian Mahjarrats. Hazeel: Hazeel is one of the physically strong Mahjarrats, he was a good friend of Zamorak and helped him betray Zaros. Hazeel eventually gained the control of Ardougne, but was later overthrown by a mob and killed. Hazeel has later been resurrected and have headed north to meet with the other Mahjarrat. Lucien: Lucien is a physically weak Mahjarrat, he helped betay Zaros by casting a spell on the Godstaff of Armadyl so that Zaros could not feel its presence. Lucien recently tried to get his hands on the Godstaff of Armadyl once again, but I prevented him in doing so. Lucien is expected to be heading north to meet with the other Mahjarrat. Enakhra: Enakhra managed to trap the Zarosian Mahjarrat Akthanakos in a temple which she built as a dedication to her loyalty to Zamorak. I managed to free Akthanakos and they have both headed north to fight. Zemouregal: Zemouregal is known from the tale of Arrv, hes known to be able to infiltrate ones dreams and to be able to summon and control the undead. I speculate that Zemouregal is going to perform an attack on Varrock soon, and I fear that it will be with an undead Arrv by his side. Now, onto the Zarosian Mahjarrats. Azzanadra: Azzanadra is probably Zaros most loyal servant, and most likely also his strongest. Azzanadra is as close as a mortal can get to immortality, which is why he was trapped in a Pyramid, rather than killed. I managed to free Azzanadra from his prison during my travels, and in exchange he granted me the ability to use the Ancient Magick Spells of the Mahjarrat. I expect that Azzanadra will be heading north to fight the Zamorakian Mahjarrats. Akthanakos: Akthanakos was, as I mentioned earlier, trapped by Enakhra. After I freed him he went to battle with Enakhra, I expect that they have probably headed north. Sliske: Sliske is the last of the known Mahjarrat loyal to Zaros. He is known from the tale The Fall of the Six, and is the one who granted the Barrow Brothers their powers to fight Zamoraks evil hordes. I will continue to try to uncover more information about Sliske, but as of now this is all I know. Other possible Mahjarrat is the Oracle. She looks like Hazeel, and shes definitely been in this world for a long time, but I cant seem to figure out where her allegiance is and how shes connected to the others. I was once told by a wise gnome, who had the ability to see into the future, that amongst the Mahjarrat will be someone else, someone who does not belong there, someone who will fight them. I do not know who this person is, but I have a bad feeling that Im going to be involved further in this matter. I heard somewhere that there were about a 100 Mahjarrats when they first came to RuneScape, now, some mustve died from age, others in battle. I dont think we have yet uncovered all of the remaining Mahjarrat, but I dont think there are much more than 10 of them left. It has been many ages and they have been at war for most of them. I hope any of this have helped on your understanding of the Mahjarrat. So, until the dark times must be fought Baralai22, Adventurer[/hide] I reread the tale The Fall of the Six and found no mention of the name of the Mahjarrat that gave the Barrow Brothers there armor. Although its possible that it was Sliske it is equally possible that it wasn't. From The Legend of Arrav, Part IV
  4. Well to add to the information on the Mahjarrat Post Bag 38 Also the Chaos Elementals hints for Tale of the Muspah So of those who we have not met / have yet to meet we know that: - Ralvash was the last to be sacrificed for the ritual and before him were Mizzarch and Lamistard. - Kharshai may still be alive or imprisoned somewhere - Sliske is still active
  5. Also [hide=]Also after you complete the quest you can visit Ali the Wise at his house at the north end of Nardah. There you can tell him of all the different adventures you have had that involved the Mahjarrat. He does not give you any reward.[/hide]
  6. Does it count as falling for an April Fool's joke if it's still March 31 in the time zone you live in?
  7. Actually the glitchy penguin was hanging out around the Legends Guild and the mine near by.
  8. Your not the only one. Directly from PENGUINS W60 cc. The penguin hunters have apparently gone to sc.
  9. From what I've been able to learn people were able to spy multiple times on a penguin in the ardy area on World 60. Then they would go to Larry redeem points , return to spying on the penguin and repeating said process. Thus causing JaGeX to temporarily remove the penguins.
  10. An announcement for all you penguin hunters out there: http://[Please Use QuickFind Code].com/c=Nhv2d5d0QyA/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?75,76,206,58306360 Apparently there was a glitch with the penguins this week causing them to give more points than normal.
  11. Maybe it will involve the eastern lands or Kudos Island.
