I quite like the new Varock. It's being with RS since day 1 and a change is nice... It does kind of now remind me of Falador though.

When you discover raiding Kara and all those places... The addiction hits you even more... Especially if you join a hardcore raiding guild that raids 24/7.

What's everyone's views on roleplay, is it important for you, do you roleplay in Rs? Personally, I don't roleplay a lot, and in Runescape I think they totally neglected the roleplay, since there's no guild system or anything to encourage it. Hmm.... I find people roleplay in different ways... Take WoW for example... On a RP server roleplaying gets taken very seriously... I don't actually understand what the aim is though ? Pretend that your character is real and your imagination is the limit? But to your question... I think roleplaying is rather silly from what I've heard of it, and I don't think there's much to runescape to actually roleplay about.

Hey dude... I renewed my WoW membership early this morning... However, I cancelled it like 30 mins ago.... Yes, I still can play for another month, but I'm not going too. I've just renewed my Runescape membership... HOWEVER, I want to take my play time into moderation and not go over the top. Maybe I'm an all or nothing guy.... But if you avoid something you want to do, it's only going to hurt you more.... I've now realised that the only person who can take action is me...

Hello. I'm thinking about playing RS again and I'm just checking out some new stuff.... What's this achievement dairy all about? I see you have tasks that you can complete etc... But do you get some kind of reward if you complete the tasks ? TIA.

It's not that easy... Most of my spare time is spent on my PC doing things... The area I live in their are no people who are the same age as me... Just either a lot younger or alot older than me... So I have nothing better to do. I'm 16 so I don't live alone....

I can't unsubscribe.... I've took a mage to 70 and I'm currently playing a level 42 hunter.... The thing is, I really want to stop playing but I can't... If I did stop playing I'd only come back to RuneScape and be addicted to RuneScape again.... Maybe the word "addicted" is a bit dramatic, but I've put a lot of time into video games and in the end I know I'll never get anything from them.... Has anyone been in the same position as me before ? What did you do to stop playing ? Tips/suggestions please ! Thanks.

I have quit RuneScape, and today because I got bored of WoW I decided to come here and take a look at this thread... I've quit RS many times.... The longest time I've ever stayed away from RS is about 3 months ! The reason I quit RS is usually to play another game, and when I get bored of that game I'll feel like playing RS again. Well, I don't think I'll ever come back to RuneScape again to be honest... I'll logon when the new Varock is here ! WoW also seems like a better community to be in than RS... You don't get as many scammers etc etc... Also, I've hit the maximum level on WoW ..and that bought a whole new different play style to me (Raiding etc...) Onto the reason why people find it so hard to quit RS ---- They are addicted ! I've being addicted to RS many times. :)

lol same thing happened for me d3nic ;p. The PvP looks great but I just don't wanna have to wait a few months for it. Some things that have ticked me off also is that people who play eve will slag WoW off, saying it's full of little kids and has a bad community... And the thing is, you ask them if they've played WoW and they say no. :-s Also, they think they are superior all because they know lots of stuff about an online game, which in their eyes is "complex." /Rant over.

Got bored of Eve.... Don't really like the aspect of combat/missions. It's all the same, using the same fighting style etc.... For me it just seems too much of the same thing... Oh well, I'm renewing my WoW subscription tommorow. :) - Denic.

Wow... I don't know what it is, but to me this game doesn't seem as "professsional" as WoW. Downtime is terrible.... Server is down right now... :?

I agree with you their on both things... One thing I'm going to be stuffed for is getting an eve time card.... It looks like I'm going to have to use my brothers credit card. The thing that shocks me though is that they actually LET you buy eve time cards with ISK! (ISK = Game currency) Their is a section on their website dedicated to it... One 30 day eve time card is usually 150Mil.

Well, as far as I can gather, the only things in EVE are Mining, missions and PvP. I haven't tried PvP out either yet, I've been mostly mining.... Earned me some nice cash.

To be honest I think if you know you're going to enjoy the game, why not pay for it ? Most good MMORPG's these days have monthy fees.

I do actually like the skill system. I think it's better that you don't have to go killing thousends of mobs to gain a level, but others may think differently. I think it's a game you really need to have time to play and get into. The good thing about eve aswell is that everyone is on the same server! Now that rocks.

Any one here plays eve? Downloaded the trial about 4 days ago, and so far I'm loving it. Getting the full game soon. It's a very hard game and the tutorial took me just over 5 hours, but I'm still learning... Some really nice people who help me out a lot. So, does any one here play eve online? Looks like SS wont last for very longer.... I used to love SS just for the world switcher and easier stats look up, I wasn't really bothered with the IRC chat. Looks like I'm going back to using the proper runescape window. - Denic.
