I never said there was no benefit, just because I don't know if any benefits have or will definatley come of the war doesn't mean that there will not be any benefits to the war. I say once again, just because i don't see the sense in allowing 3,000 people to die doesn't mean others don't. Like i don't see the sense of Hitlers' attempts to create a master race or Stalins' great terror. That does not mean that no one can see sense in them. Quit putting words in my mouth. There is validity behind it. You asked for possible reasons, and I gave you a possible reason. The only thing that doesn't make sense to me (which is irrelevant to the reason) is the fact that it caused 3,000 American citizens to die. Why do i personally need to see sense in that to present a possible reason? No. You actually also said that you don't know of any benefit to your "reason" at all - therefore making it NOT a "reason."

We wouldn't need action against those responsible (therefore we would not need the fear and patriotism is caused) if we stopped it from happening. Yeah. That should be taken seriously.
