  1. I have to admit I was a bit thrown by the jumping around of topics in the article also. That being said, here are my opinions. I think the Achievement Diaries are great. I haven't finished all my tasks yet, but it's nice to take a break from training and do something a little different. My kids made their accounts before the 13 and under rule came out. I agree that SOME preteens, may not appreciate all the dangers of being online, but I also think that there are many who are more net savvy than their parents. We're probably one of the rare cases where mom and dad started playing and the kids wanted to try it too. We have two computers, so instead of standing over their shoulders, I'm able to interact with them in the game and see how they're behaving. After 2 and a half years of all of us playing, I can brag and say that none of us has any black marks and my daughter, now 12, has been a P Mod for 5 months.
  2. Actually, that's child rearing too, my 2 yr old is quite inventive when it comes to bizarre things to do. I loved this article and it was very timely too, since a friend and I were discussing the dumbing down of Runescape last night. The warnings that were there sufficed for years, if the current crop of players can't figure it out then that's their problem and shouldn't be ours. It's like I tell every person who begs me for free stuff because they were hacked or took their best stuff in the wildy and died, I'm sorry to hear it, I guess you'll have to be more careful in the future.
  3. Welcome to Runescape: Better not eat them!-Fairy Ring And the bestest of the best so far :D Welcome to Runescape: Wow-it's a guinea pig! No, hang on it's a cave. Slayer Cave entrance examine.
  4. Combat lvl 108, 80 ranged. Like others, I see so many people wearing them now, I just don't feel like wasting the time trying to get one. I tried a couple times when it first came out and it seems like a lot of trouble for some tokkul and a cape. Maybe I'll try when I get some of of my skill goals out of the way. :)
  5. If you've done Legends, I would say mine east of Ardy and bank at the Legends Guild. That's where I do all my bulk iron mining.
  6. I would steal seeds from the master farmer to raise theiving to 70, then use the seeds you get to try for 70 farming, and maybe you'll have stolen enough herb seeds to get 70 herblore too. You can sell any seeds you don't need to raise money for tree seeds, which will help raise your farming faster. If you've done Throne of Miscellannia and Royal Trouble, you can have your subjects gather maple logs, which you can use for firemaking and sometimes you get nests with tree seeds. You can range Mossies on Moss Giant island for good range XP, plus they drop herb, watermelon and strawberry seeds. If you have a cannon, go to Dagganoths for good herbs seeds and range xp. If you did the quests I mentioned above, you can get coal from your subjects and make cannonballs to raise your smithing. Sorry to be so farming oriented, but it's my favorite skill.
  7. I know I have to pick up my cat when I use building mode. If I leave him there when I'm not building, will he stay there til I pick him back up again?
  8. I'm a female with a female character and I used to wear rune legs before I got my d skirt because I think the rune skirt is ugly. Skirts are cheaper and easier to come by, so I don't see why guys couldn't or shouldn't wear them.
  9. I am from: the US And I currently live in: the US Additional Comments: I was born in Alaska and grew up in and around NYC. I also lived in Alabama and I currently live in North Carolina.
  10. I think the point they are trying to make is, if huge companies with thousands of employees like Microsoft, continually release programs that have lots of bugs in them, then Jagex isn't doing too badly. XP has been out for how long and I have to download updates and fixes on a weekly basis if not more often. I have to admit that I'm in the silent majority who never finds or is inconvenienced by any of the bugs and glitches that I read about on the forums. But when I weigh the shortcomings of a game that I pay $5 a month to play bug free(so far) and an operating system that costs over $100 and continually exposes my computer to harm, Jagex wins in my opinion.
  11. I wish I could meet the polite cannon users that have posted when I play. If I see someone with a cannon I'll leave, but it burns me when someone pops up after I'm there and sets one up. I turn down all my hellhound and the majority of my Kalphite assignments because of this. I appreciate that you spent the time training to be able to afford a cannon and ammo for it. I could have one, but I like to get the hp xp when I'm training so I choose not to use one. I spent time training so I could use and afford my whip, so what it boils down to is attitude. If you don't like world hopping, what makes you think I enjoy it?
  12. Man you're lucky. I fished 2500 shark in 3 days and nothing. I can't use it yet, but it sure would've been nice to get one.
  13. I'm going a bit of a slayer jag trying to raise my combat, so I'll have to check this out. The only thing I noticed about the roc previously, is that I get attacked by vampires almost everytime I'm farming in Port Phasmtys while wearing it.
  14. I have two that I get teased about. First is the fact the I actually enjoy farming. No matter what other skill I'm training, I always make time to farm. The second is my bear helm. I love it and I wear it any chance I get. One of my favorite outfits is my full Guthix with the bear helm.
  15. I don't care much for training agility, but I loves the new monkey course. I was only 4.5 k from 66 agility when I started and finally got bored when I hit 67. Now I have good use for all the super energy pots I got collecting dust in the bank.
