  1. Nice guide. But I still have some questions:

    - Is it better to melee (whip) or mage Karil at 87 magic (slayer dart) / 75 att, 85 str ?

    - How do you manage to stay there for 3 trips with that inventory? I mean, you do need prayer for dharok (and perhaps karil) in the beginning, no?

    - What about leaving one extra melee brother for the tunnels (waste of time? It takes mostly quite some time to force spawn him at the right place)

    - I dunno how its easy for you, but for me (higher combat than you), its hard to kill dharok in tunnels. One time i nearly died because of that (rol saved me)

    - What about granite plate?

    - I would recommend using the new helm (from the fremmy quest) for barrows in stead of farseer. It offers the same melee bonus as berserker, yet no negative magic att, and a prayer bonus of +3

I know it isn't for me to answer, but I'm going to anyway  (I hope this answers your questions):

    - I kill Karil with melee (dds+d scimi), i never have to use food, unless i get really unlucky.

    - I tele each run (390 gp (I use runes) is cheaper then 4.6k (price of 2 doses ppot)).

    - Tried that, IT SUCKS!!! I took about 45 minutes! Instead of my usual 15. You don't save food either, because of the crypt monsters. So ... :shame:

    - Just use safespots ((invisible) ladders in corner room and stones in side rooms)! Dharok is the best 1 to get in the tunnels, because you can safely pray on Karil and Ahrim.

    - Try and see ...

  2.

    Don't argue with a item researcher. :P

Actualy, you should, the first time I checked, I looked at the crush ATT (see other post) instead of the DEF  ...

Oh...well...errr...you shouldn't argue with item researchers excluding de_lille_d

HEY! Just because I make 1 mistake that, doesn't mean everything I say is wrong :shame: ! I was just saying you should check for yourself instead of just assuming something is true when someone says it is.

Anyway, I corrected myself ... (check 3 posts back)

Ps: How fast should you normally get an item? I have only got 1, but that was a long time ago.

I think black dhide would be good on verac instead of rune because they almost have the same def stats and the d hide has less negitve magic bouns then rune, therefor you will get around the same def, but with more attack bouns

    ???

    That's not true!

Dhide body: -15 mage att, +60 crush def

Dhide legs: -10 mage att, +33 crush def

Total: -25 mage att, +93 crush def

Rune pl8: -30 mage att, +72 crush def

Rune legs: -21 mage att, +47 crush def

Total: -51 mage att, +119 crush def

If you use dhide, you'll get 26 mage att more (=51-25). If you use Rune, you'll have 26 more crush defence (=119-93).

So, it's either way you like it, it doesn't matter...

  4.

Rune pl8 + legs and blackdhide body + legs have the same crsuh defence. So it's better to put on full d'hide while fighting verac and torag (they use crush), so you get more mage bonus.

I think you are mixing two things up here. Dragon hides provide better mage DEF bonus than rune, but also give a lot more negative mage attack modifiers. Since you'll probably want to mage verac anyway, try to keep your mage attack bonus as high as possible.

Just in case, slayer dart is affected by armour and mage bonussen, it's just that the barrows brothers have such a low mage def that nearly every spell hits. Therefore, you should still care about your mage attack modifier.

    LOOOL

You should check the magic att bonusses with dhide and full rune!

Full rune: -51 magic att bonus

full black d'hide: -25 magic att bonus

... Is it me, or is -25 better? :-#

Compare Rune platebody to Dragonhide Body (black)

    --> better mage attack

I said the thing about Verac, because he seems to hit less on d'hide (might also be luck), but I do have better mage attacks. So it either having 26 less crush defence or having 26 less magic attack bonus.

  5. ... If you have enough food left-over, than you can drink the pray pot if you want, its really your choice.

I though about it and actually it's smarter to just tele and refill prayer and food for the price of rune/teletab, then having to use 2 doses of ppot (about 4.6 k). Don't forget you have to get out of the tunnels, so that might take some time.

Ps: Why do you use tele tabs? Teletabs costs 1.5k, but with normal runes it only costs 390 gp. Kind of a waste, except if you really need the monkfish/sharks.

  6. this is a great guide, but i have IE and FF but i cant get shortcuts for FF only IE

    please help meh

Try changing your default browser to Firefox, or right-clicking it and select 'Open with Firefox'. That should work.

Ps: If you're having trouble making the links, I have a topic with a link to a zip-file with all links, High detail and Low detail. Just search for my name.

  7. From another thread about the same thing:

Thank you for finding this way to get into hard-to-get-into worlds! I have spent the time to create a collection of .html files that will make it easier to use this method of world-switching. I put this into a .zip file to put on the Internet. This file is completely free of viruses! If a mod would like to check it they will see that it is completely safe!

I know, there is a link to that topic in my credits. That guy showed me how to make the links in the zip-files i hosted.

  8. You should add that in firefox you can make separators. This way, you can make your homeworld/nearby worlds stand out allowing easy accessibility.

That's info about Firefox bookmarks. I only intend to help people make bookmarks to all worlds, what they do with them after that is their problem.

  9.

Like 2/10, getting a brother in a safespot is hard and you barely went into detail.

Hard? Lol, it's easy as pie (hmmm ... pie).

Just go in and out a corner room and attack the rats and bloodworms for kc. When brother is there, just run to safespot and start maging. DONE.

    (Wasn't that hard, was it?)

Adds too much extra time, I like to race through anyway, 3 ppot doses max the way I do it, thats if you have Dharok/Karil tunnel, otherwise it 0 ppot doses.

I agree that getting them in tunnels is anoying, and takes way too long, by the way, you use as much food as if you would face them in their crypt (I tried to get all melee brothers in the tunnels, took about the time for 2 runs!). But I don't understand that you use more ppots from dharok in tunnels... He is the one that should always be fought with pray and you can safe some by safespotting him.

  10. Some thing you might consider:

    * Only figthing Karil and Ahrim in their cryts and safespotting the rest in tunnels => no pray for dharok (and you need less food for monsters) (downside: takes a lot of time to get them to spawnin tunnels)

    * Not using sharks: You can run to other side with Karil and Ahrim, and melees are being safespotted, no need for that.

    * Using crystal bow (cheaper then rune arrows on the long run, i think)

    * Tell people to use worlds where there is no one => less monsters in tunnels (i think)

  11. 1 thing I really like about the Runescape[dot]exe downloadable executable from the JAGeX official website is that it rune Runescape in it's own personal window independent of Internet Browsers, so when you hit a hyperlink with no other IE or FF windows open, Windows will automatically open a new window for the website rather than forcing Runescape to switch to the new link. Is there any way to avoid this with your system?

If my request is too wordy to understand or my English is too poor, please let me know and I'll try to rephrase it.

There are no Favorites/Bookmarks for the Runescape client. So when you click a link, it will open in your default set browser. You can't use the Runescape client as an normal browser, I tried openning a link with it, but it shows the RS-homepage. If you really want to have something like the Rs client, delete all your toolbars and your Firefox/IE will look just like the Runescape client.
