  1. I would say rune meds for F2P and Yew longs for P2P.

    The rune meds are sold way below their alch value, so you'll make a profit (i think).

    Yew longs will surely give you profit:

    - yew log: 250 ea

    - bowstring: 150 ea

    - nature rune (hard to find because of greedy runecrafters): 300 ea

    * Spent: 700 ea

    * Gained: 768

    * Profit: 68 ea (not bad, and to think you will also get 65 fletching and magic xp).

  2. I think it also helps to be a member. They like to have player mods who have access to the entire game, and access to the forums... In fact, I don't really know many f2p player mods.

    Not that I know too many p2p mods, but still...

    I know one: [Admin edit: We dont make lists of f2p or p2p mods on this forum.Please respect the playermoderators privacy]

  3. I just found out a great way to train your magic, WITHOUT RUNES (depending; you'll see).

    Go to Pest Control and save up 100 points there (very important, because this way you get 10% extra xp). Then spend it at once on magic.

    I got from 48 to 52 magic in 2 seconds (not counting the time to gather the points off course :wink: ).

    You can even speed it up by attacking the monsters in the minigame with magic.

  4. Black has better defence against melee. Karil against range and mage.

    Overall i would chose black d'hide, because if you buy full karil (to be able to have the special) you'll lose bonuses on the coif (check it out, it's junk).

    Black d'hide is also a LOT cheaper; in purchase and in not having to reapir it.

  5. 4 reasons to chose black d'hide:

    - Same range bonus

    - It's cheaper

    - You don't have to repair it

    - No reason to get full karil's if the overall bonus is lower then what i propose.

    EDIT - What he said ... :wink:

    ( lol 1 minute difference)

  6. I think ill go for:

    - full guthans (i like the healing effect)

    - climbing boots

    - fury ammy (i think it's better then strength ammy)

    - Fire cape (obby cpae if i do not hav the fire cape yet)

    - barrow gloves

    - ring???? (i think warrior ring or berserker ring, depending on what is greater bonus, slash or crush)

  7. Equipment: (bonusses: stab, slash, crush, magic, range, defstab, defslash, defcrush, defmagic, defrange)

    Requirements: 70 ranging and 50 agility

    If you know an item that has a better range bonus, post here.

  8. Im p2p (look in sig).

    How about weapons? Is it better that i take a full guthans/torag/verac?

    Im looking for the equipement that gives me the most strength , so i can hit high.

    Is obby cape as good as legends? And isn't fury better then glory?

  9. I want to have the best mage equipement that money can buy, but first i'll need to know what that is. If you know what armour/staff has the best bonusses, post it here. If there are 2 items who have the same bonus, they can be put next to each other.

    After i get a view over several items, ill look up the bonusses and post my conclusion.

    (Will also do this for melee and ranging, but on different threads.)

    ps: im mainly looking for tradeable items, but if you know any untradeables that are the best, you can post em too.

  12. 2 situations: You hav the materials for steel pl8s and you can either sell them or HA them.

    1) You get the stuff and high alch it.

    You get 1200 gp from HA

    2) You sell the suff

    * 5 steel bars = 5*600 ea = 3000 gp

    * 1 nat = 300 ea

    => You get 3300 gp from selling

    Difference between 2 situations:

    You get magic xp -->

    So actually you are paying for magic xp -->

    That magic xp = -32.3 gp/xp!!! (you get 65 xp from 1 highalch spell) -->

    It's smarter to sell then to HA.

    Ill show with HAing yew longs:

    1) You get stuff and highalch it

    You get 768 gp from HAing

    2) You sell the stuff

    * yew log = 250 gp

    * flax = 100 gp

    * 1 nat = 300 gp

    You get 650 gp from selling

    Here it's smarter to HA: +1.8 gp/xp (You get more money and more magic xp with HAing :D )

  13. I have a question relating high alching steel plates:

    A lot of people use this method, but it seems to me it's better to sell the steel bars. Don't you lose money by high Alching this?

    I mean: the price of something ecuals the maximum price you can get for it (e.g. If you cut yews and sell for 200 ea, then you would lose money, because you could have gotten more by selling it for 250 ea or more).

    Isn't the high alching value of 1 steel bar less then the price (you could have gotten) of 5 steel bars and 1 nature rune? That would make you lose money, just for having magic xp.

    (If this post is disturbing i'll change it to "nvm")

  14. To TheBlazikenMaster:

    Does mining helmet work too? They won't take a spot in your inventory. But for that i would have to raise my FM 5 lvls :cry: (all the yews i'll have to buy or cut).

    I want to stack the iron in my bank for smelting steel, so the iron knives thing will not work. Just post the best mine where you can mine and bank iron fast.

  15. If i buy a whip or d-armor or .... can i wear it being a F2P? Cuz else it would kinda be stupid: me having a whip, but i unable to use it. :lol:

    Another one: there r a few quests that require to do a cuople of quests first, what r the most important 1s? Or wich 'trail' (fisrt this 1, then that 1, ...) of quests should i follow?
