Do you have to pick a counter stage? Or can you jus of pick a neutral again?

Alright guys, I'm going to a Brawl tournament today and their are some rules about it I don't really understand, I'm sure at least one of you can help me out because I'm a total noob at this. :x The rule is: Matches are best 2 of 3, first round players chose a random neutral stage. Second round the loser of the first round counter picks any neutral or counter pick stages listed. In case of a tie third round, loser of second round decides the stage. What are neutral stages and counter stages? What is the point of them? What is double elimination? I've heard of counter pick stage stuff before but I've never really understood what it is and why its there. Can someone help me out? :pray:

LOl all those games were awesome. I agree with Caxis the Snake for all's were so fun. My favorite was the one on Snakes level. I could tell that your bro handed you the controller. The first time it happened I didn't realize it until it was too late. :x The Mk game at the end was just ridiculous. :lol: We've gotta do that again sometime. :thumbup:

Not having a GBA cartrige is a real turn off for me... other then that it looks like its going to be a really good game system. Its going to blow the PSP out of the water.

Just curious.. Do you have any clue what features an iPhone has besides being able to call people? The iPhone seems to me to be the iTouch with all the features of a phone packed into it (though I've never really compared the features of each). I don't own one because I'm a poor man, so I just guessed. What I basically mean is that they should have all of the functionality of an iPod mixed into an iPhone. Maybe to boost profits, they can also sell memory cards. iPhone has all the functionality of an iPod and more, anything you can do with an iPod you can do with an iPhone. I do agree that the one thing it does not have is as much storage space as iPods.

Tabuu has crazy mind games. ;) Knowing that 4 of your opponents moves can KO you instantly doesn't help either.

As much as I would love to play you instead of wrongfully doing homework and browsing tip.it at the same time, I can't.

I blame it on my...on my...room...ya thats it. The room im in isnt big enough, causing the air to be unfiltered and my controller to get low quality air...because of this its connection with the wii is damaged...causing me to lose! I think you should post that theory on Smash Boards. Seems like a perfectly logical reason. ;) :thumbup: ------ Yes lag does get annoying, but after a while of playing it you just get used to the difference, it just takes a few games. At least, with me anyway. PS. I really need to play some of you guys, seems like I haven't played anyone besides Caxis in like a year. :x Just been so stinkin busy. :boohoo:

For MK's up-b to work you have to make him go down and have enough momentum to carry him up. Just practice and you'll get the hang of how far he needs to go down to go up.

Hmm you should be honored sup3rpur, Mano has never offered to teach anyone here the ways of Olimar. Here's a tip I can give you, and it is shure a big one. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THE EDGE OF THE STAGE AS POSSIBLE. You probably already knew that. ;) I'll have to play you some time.

"and here we.... go" I do have to agree with the poster above. The character icons really do help Nintendo a lot. Their is only one reason I won't get a Ps3. Most of the games are either A) Racing B) Shooting C) Violent/M and I don't really like those kind of games. I must say that the Ps2 though, was an awesome console.

Wow how could I forget the first tourney? #-o It feels like so long ago. Now that I recall it, didn't most of the people in that tourney drop out? We can get 12 people that would actually participate but I don't think we could get anymore then that.

20 people?! We'll never get that many people. I don't think theirs been that many people in the history of brawl discusions on tip.it :x
