First, the title says Hardcore...Cradle are not Hardcore. Second, they ask for a screamo band...Cradle are not Screamo, they are Black Metal. Third, They ask for lyrics that are understandable. The was majority of Cradle's songs are rather difficult to understand.

Arch Enemy are female fronted. Most people don't even realise that the first time they hear the band. I fail to see how that would be taking away the mood...

There songs range from mellow to heavy, A normal song consist of neat riffs, usually clean or acoustic while breaking out into random death metal segments with deep screaming vocals. The singer is truley fanominal. He sings clean so well and then can just break into this awesome Nile (the band) like scream. Songs to check out are The Drapery Falls Harvest The Grand Conjuration (the song that got me into them) Blackwater Park Also, be sure to check out Ghost of Perdition.

Yet I heard that it was the other way round..and I quote: "Trivium kicked [wagon], but Maiden were just a borefest" well you sir, heard wrong! trivium was just noise.. seriously, you could not tell one song from another. whereas maiden were slick, awesome, and played the new album in full, as well as the classics... and they had a giant Eddie on stage! beat that!! If Maiden played their new stuff, I was definately informed correctly.. The whole of the new album sucks.

Agreed. I noticed in one of the above videos that as soon as anyone went near, the one guy would just curl up and try to avoid them..

Exactly the reason you just need to throw them out of the pit. Generally, i've noticed, once there's a fair amount of people actually moshing, and they get thrown out, they won't even try and come back in.

Hardcore dancers piss everyone off...there amazing tactic of making space for them to "dance" in (ie, spread arms and push backwards) caused two people to get trampled pretty badly at last gig. Which was basically all the excuse we needed to show them how pits should be done...(with them still stuck in the middle :twisted: )

Yeah, you can hurt yourself sometimes, and sometimes pretty bad. Can't speak for others, but I just love the adrenaline rush :D

From the list of Post-hardcore bands on Wiki, the only one I can stand is 36 Crazyfists, so i'd have to say that was my favourite I guess...

That's skanking?! The only purpose I can see that serving is to make people look ridiculous... And technically, moshing could also count as a full body work out :D Generally happens in every pit really..

True...as long has the pit stays in a small area, such as in the middle of a crowd that'll push anyone who comes near the edge back in, it's good. If there's too much room to move, they tend to suck.

Thats an imensly popular band...and imensly bad at that. To be fair, they have a couple of decent songs IMO.. "Pity", "Think", "Love and War"
