I wouldnt mind seeing the boss having these kind of attacks: Lunge: Araxxor lunges to bite at you. Stun her to make ger lose focus. Pounce: Araxxor attempts you pounce on you from afar. Use escape or surge to slip away. Entrapment: Araxxor attempts to use her web to entrap you. Use freedom to escape. Then there could be other abilities... Culling the horde: Araxxor calls her brood to aid her. Defeat them before she decides to eat them! Cacoon (dou mode): Araxxor attempts to bind and stun a meal to save for later. Provoke and stun her to break her hold on your partner.

Sounds exciting.

Pro tip: use your emmisary vexillum or whatever its called to repair your armour/weapons. You save a nice chunk of money.

I just turned in 20 prismatic pendants for 1300k xp. Prismania effects pendants :D!

I lost the pictures of 38m defense, 25-26m slayer, and 54m constitution from having to return my comp to factory settings. I found out runescapes Prismania works on old prismatic pendants... So I cashed in 20 of them and 5 gems to test. I'm left with 1 prismatic, 1 prized and 290 recharge gems. I'm still saving them for inventor. Before: After: 1300k bonus slayer xp from 20 pendants... The other two plus the gems would have gotten me just the same.

The degrading part of the tools will just be replaced by crystal seeds dropped. Unless you are incapable to pickpocket or kill elves then you are pretty much screwed out of getting the t81 tools. That and not afford the base components... The axe is pretty cheap anyways.

Its supposed to be a freebie for P2P members and has been something of a trend expectation set by the community. I think in all honestly they just anti-up for the paying it forward to the population by giving them one of the least selling pieces so it can be appreciated by more instead of being lost in the shuffle.

Or keep melee weapons using the same repair costs. Then have ranged and magic weapons take a lesser repair cost...

They could be judging the strength of it to see if they should tie more effort into it.

Personally i think either the masterwork music box or the fox outfit should be the winner. Im leaning towards the outfit though... And the lore books are amazing for adding depth.

There has to be other alternative level 60 gear out there... The fact that dragon is worth millions isn't as bad a you make it in light of other games with low end gear that players overprice due to their desire for other uses. I am more specifically referring to WoW's "twink gear." The only difference between both games is how that gear use used - both are overpriced for different desires.

I think using dragon as a base component to build on is an alright idea. Even in terms of lore its supposed to be a near indestructible metal that was fabricated on freneskae (which oddly wasn't touched on in any lore shown in FOTG). I wouldn't necessarily try building on something so weak as runite or lower. Armours such as barrows (created by sliske), sirenic (unexplained as of yet... Most likely related to the sirens)/malevolent (created by an empowered sliske)/seismic (created by the anima munda) are hinted as being heavily magically fortified/imbued/etc. Dragon can be potentially thrown in that as well though, too since it was forged and created by the dragonkin using their heightened dragonfire.

So imagine what crystal pickaxe and hatchet would be like.

Anything that comes from the elf city is going to be designed for high levels players as a priority, specifically those who are well rounded. You really can't expect jagex to bend much for those players who heavily mine or woodcut and can't complete the quest much less get the money for the components. I mean sure they wont have the next tier pickaxe, but honestly... Look at the difference in tier productivity. I can't recall the difference and I know a jmod posted about it when releasing the dragon pickaxe years ago. I think it was something like a 5% faster success rate at mining over the rune pickaxe. If we see that from the crystal pickaxe thats something you can't really complain over. On another note... Since going DIY slayer I think being a DIY would be immensely fun in the dwarf city. Imagine all the prep work of doing urns, mining your own addy/mith, cutting your elder/yews/magics and all that jazz.

Honestly their component system is working good in my eyes. People keep their eyes on the prize... zamorakian spear, dragon claws, dragon limbs, saradomin necklaces. You want that chaotic claw set for higher crit? - Chaotic spear for corp? - Ascension crossbow upgrade? - Top end dungeoneering necklaces? Well you'll need this base component. This makes players realize they have to either pay or do one activity for some time to get a drop that brings them to the next level... Almost like how the minigames bring their gear progression from a seers ring to a seers ring (i). The only difference is there isn't a measured progression. Now I would be interested in them doing the same thing for some jumps from t80-t85, t85-t90 and hopefully t90-t95 items.

Upgrading dragon to crystal isn't a bad concept if you think that it requires crystal seeds to sing it around the actual dragon piece. The issue really, is if the crystal seeds are stackable or not and if you can do more than 28 charges before degrading. I wouldn't want a higher grade pickaxe that I knew would degrade back down after 28 uses. Now if the crystal item reverted after 28 charges and each charge lasted a minute or so.... maybe.
