ok once agin thanks for the comments, srry i havent edited it or posted in awhile - I was in the car the whole day on the way to Ohio. I'm at my grandparents' right now and im gonna try to do better shading edit: i'll post in the morning, its midnight here right now. edit again:ahh.. seems my grandparents arent letting me on as much as i thot they would, I'm gonna have to improve on that sig when i get back from vacation. that'll be in about 5 or 6 days

thanks for the comments but whats "cleaning my lines" mean, getting rid of the black outlines on my peple?

oi, my people are fat.....they've been eating too many lobbies.... and why would they remove that sig? it doesnt offend anyone, its just talking to all those christians out there (thanks for the warning tho). If you look, i do have some shading but i guess its not "thick" enough?

hurrah, i just completed my first pixel....ever. Actually its my first sig ever, so don't c/c as if I have been doin this forever lol, it sucks I know but just give me a few friendly tips if you please...

Wow i read this whole thread.....amazing i had no idea so many adults played RS, see when i quit back in 7th grade, i couldnt get away from it. Eventually i joined back and caught up with the few updates they had made during the 6 months or so i hadnt been playing. Then i got interested in WoW and DAoC and Guild Wars (i played all of those and still currently get on guild wars sometimes), so i quit rs for a second time. For some reason i relapsed back into runescape for a third time a few weeks ago----this is a sign!!----but anyways during those on/off periods runescape was put on miniclips and many little kids joined and their...immaturity just spoiled the game for me and im pretty sure many other scapers. Well ive gotten over that all and still enjoy RS. but, uh, yeh im not old or anything im just 14 lol but its nice to see a thread for the older generation of RS. I've never thought of it that way before...

omg i just read through the whole thread and i saw everything, punkage gettin banned and the issue of the pics not showing up. I also looked at the date and was very surprised - this sure is an old thread whats the new one? (btw how did punkage get banned)

wow, yeah, this is great, however some of the images dont show up...thers just an empty box with an "X" there instead of a picture

I think you'll find that if you play the game you'll notice that it certainly isn't about the graphics, it's the gameplay and I can assure the gameplay is better than RSC. It just takes getting used to and as seen myself by so many 'loyalists' to RSC they all eventually come back to the real RS - RS2. It's a matter of getting used to a new game you've played for so long; not a gameplay issue. There's so many games out now that have superior graphics to RuneScape - none of them interest me and to bring an issue of simply the improvement of graphics up is not really the best case for RS2 since they didn't just update the graphics system from the conversion from RSC to RS2. The main reason for this decrease in the average age and thus average maturity level is because of the affliate with miniclip.com; dragging lots of youngsters into RS. I'm still unsure why they want younger people on this game when this game, if anything is suitable for all ages, however, that is what Jagex wants. This has nothing to do with the gameplay and the game itself however. The people who play the game are not what makes the gameplay of the game, people come and go, you can't judge a game on the people who play it, judge it on it's own game play. Same goes for the community the programmer can't program a community, there's so many RS communities nowadays; small and large it shouldn't be hard to find different ones. The simplicity is still there - it's the same interface and the same controls. It just takes getting used to, I rememeber thinking the same when RS2 first came out and it took me ages to do things effectively until I could remember where everything was. Again, I remember when RS2 and RSC was side by side so many people went to RSC because of the existing playerbase being so used to RSC the people complained so much about it because they couldn't get to grips with the new interface. To me it's like getting a new car; the car in terms of performance and features is hugely improved, however the pedals of the car are inversed, people complain and say the cars poor because they can't get used to it when in-fact it's much better than the original car however it takes some time getting used to, same goes for the transition between RSC and RS2. If popularity has nothing to do with it as you previously said why are arguing over the reasons why which one is more popular? Although the way you've worded it is rather misleading, the only advertisement they've got is through word of mouth and miniclip. Gaming magazines were not endorsed by Jagex themselves and just shows that the game is catching the eyes of editors of popular gaming magazines unlike RSC. As said by Andrew at the beggining of RS2; RS2 was built majorly around the structure of autoer detection systems. If anything RS2 has decreased the number of autoers. The auto detections systems are certainly better than RSC. I personally don't think the gameplay of a game should be governed by the people who play it, a game may attract different types of players however it's the same old game - the coding hasn't changed. I personally find the RS2 community fine as it is with the clan world much more developed than in RSC, giving it much better and varied communities then RSC ever had. RSC had little or no future - the game was being updated relatively infrequently when it was the leading game because of Andrew being the only one who understood the structure of the code. RS2 changed this along with many other things to make a much better game. omg, i couldnt have said it in better words, RSC man! those were the days!! and they came out with fatigue right before RS2....thanks for bringin up this topic it reminds me of the good old days

ohhh man you think that santa hat sale was bad? ugh i just wanna kill myself for this but back in rsc, about 5 years ago the.....first christmas they dropped santa hats? Well anyways i had 1 when they dropped em and then there was one over next to draynor. It was pretty funny, there was another guy that was just as far away as i was and we both raced to it - i beat im by a milisecond (and laughed in his face after that). So i was wonderin "what to do with two santa hats?" and i told my friend that i had two He wanted a santa hat cuz he didnt get one and since he was my friend and i just started runescape at the time (i was major n00b) so he told me 600gp for it i was like "Yah 600gp!! thats good" well then i sold the other one for 1k (thats what they were goin for those days) but now i look back on that day and i just wanna cry, "The Day I Sold a Santa Hat for 600gp"

ohh man you hit the spot, back when i used to play WoW i would hate finding a "chinese gold farmer" in my grinding spot..

With level 40 range and craft, you should be able to hunt them down and make bunny skin capes, bunny ear hats, mittens, tail belt....... 8) heck yeah! i can just imagine sayin "i got full bunny, do you?"

ohh man....talkin bout santa hats, lol back when i started RS in 2002 it was right around Christmas time and they did the santa hat drop. Well, i saw one and picked it up and seeing everyone scramble for them i saw another one and raced this one guy to it [oh man rofl it was so funny you shoulda seen his reaction]. Well my friend that got me into RS wanted one cuz he didnt get one and i was like "sure how much" he said "600gp". back then santa hats werent that rare and i was a noob i didnt know how much they were and HOW MUCH THEY WERE GOIN TO BE. SO I FREAKIN TRADED IT AND TO THIS DAY I REGRET EVER SELLING A SANTA HAT FOR 600GP!! *sob sob*
