The forum mods select only the best guides to go in there - I can't just post this in it. -
Here is a little help for herb farmers.
funky_nappy replied to funky_nappy's topic in Help and Advice
Which forum does it go in? :? -
Hi there, made this for myself but thought it might be useful to others: It just shows which herbs are the most profitable to farm in terms of % profit, and numerical gross profit. Prices based on rounded mid-price figures from Grand Exchange on 9th October 2008. Assumption of an average of 6 herbs farmed from each seed. (This would increase if you always watch your herbs to ensure none die). EDIT: Added XP per seed and XP per GP.

Whilst trying to get surround sound to come from my speakers, my friend installed a load of codecs on my computer, then restarted the computer only to find that the sound had gone altogether. The volume control icon is missing from the system tray, and when going into Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Properties, this is shown (picture below), despite the fact that my speakers are still plugged into the computer. Does anybody know what's happened and how to fix it?

Need help with address bar searching.

I'd rather not use FireFox and I certainly don't want a toolbar. I think it's time to give up... thanks for your help anyhow, it is much appreciated. -

This is unbelievable... every single value in the registry was already what that web page told me to change it to. Yet it STILL uses Live Search. I'm sure the Automatic Update has added something that's forcing it to Live Search. I've done absolutely everything you have suggested, with perfect accuracy, and nothing has had any effect. I'm exceedingly angry with MSN right now. -

Google is nowhere to be seen. If I click "Use one search service", the same options are available. Note: After I installed those registry files, clicking the search button in I.E. brought up a Google window. After restarting my computer, it changed back to MSN Live Search. It's almost as if I'm being forced to use Live Search. Would this have anything to do with a recent automatic update from Microsoft? -

If I do that I have to install a program onto my computer :(. I don't know why that registry information didn't work or why it even changed to MSN Live Search in the first place  . -
Need help with address bar searching.

Neither of the files it told me to download worked... even after restarting my computer. When I click the "search" button in Internet Explorer, a Google search engine appears, but when I just type something in the address bar it still does an MSN Live Search. -
Previously, I could type in any word into my internet explorer address bar and it would automatically do a Google search. (E.g. I type "walrus" into my address bar and it comes up with the results page from a Google search for walrus). I don't know why it does this, I never set it to do so. For some reason now it does an MSN Live Search instead. Anyone know how to change it back to doing a Google search?

I know they still do some with XP, that's not what I asked. I want this specific computer, so I need to know if I can take off Vista and put XP on.
-
I want to order a new desktop from Dell, but it only comes with Vista, so I'd like to know if it's possible to uninstall Vista and install XP on it when I get it?

well-known RS2 PKers?

Maikel Pro is a personal favourite of mine, partly because of the huge risks he takes with all the expensive stuff. -
Ok I though I explained at the beginning, I've seen it being used. There is no fire anywhere to start with, it's squirted out and when it hits the floor a fire appears.
-
Uh yeh I was just looking for an answer to the question though.
-
I've seen this being used, the liquid is just squirted straight out the bottle and somehow it turns to fire. Does anyone know the name of the liquid?

I have bought two domain names with 123-reg.co.uk and registered an invisionfree board. Invisionfree requires me to point my domain name to the forum board, but I don't know how to do that. Can anyone help?

Whenever I try and download a file around 50mb+, and it just stops at around 50-80% and doesn't start again. After a while it just says timed out. I already tried increasing the amount of disk space that the Temporary Internet Files uses, and that's not the problem. Can anyone help? In response to the question below: 1mb Broadband Connection. Tried with both Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers. Many files in many places.

More F2P Bank Space! [BANKSPACE ACHIEVED!]
funky_nappy replied to Prankster_King's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I did point out that the space costs them money; but when they give space to members they will get the money back from the subscription fee. -

Ok, for one; there is no chance at all that your 'rally' will make Jagex even consider changing it for you. Even as a member myself, I agree f2pers do not have enough space, but I don't think they should just grant you all another load of space. This would mean large amounts of memory being taken up on their systems, which costs them money, for people whom are getting the service for free. Now, I will use your point that 'oldies' have trouble squeezing items in to present my idea: that the long-standing f2p players should recieve some extra space. For example; someone who has played for a year gets 6 extra spaces and someone who has played for 2 or more years gets 12 extra spaces. That's just my thoughts on the matter; I plan to be at the rally; not to give my support (as I am a member), but to laugh at the chaos It will turn into :) . -
are we gaining or losing players in rs?

Well, I think I can actually provide an answer that means something. Alexa.com provides information on the traffic hitting every website. This graph shows the number of views per day over the past 5 years: -
Nope, Itunes automatically converts most of the wmas into mp3s, it's just a seemingly random selection that won't go in.
