  1. iwontpk - yeah you could, but since ur going back and forth, you wouldn't want to waste time. 1 lost space to a tinderbox, but most of the time, the startegy is to alch the drops for gp and go back and forth for lobbies.

    tryto - i was a member, i know how the TzHaar caves work. I did get attacked by a lvl 140-sumthin in there, while i was lvl 72. Not the ones in Karamja Volcano Cave.

  3. I'm sorry, super, im such a noob. right?

    I'm not as "ahead" in the game as you are. I haven't done as much as you, and I haven't done this, as much as you probably have. I don't know you at all, and don't know if you've done something like this when you were desperate for cmb training.

    This is for those people who are in my situation, and there are a lot of lvl 60 - 80 cmbs who'd like this guide. Who are hybrids, not pures.

    and i didn't say 65 was very high. I said it was good for my lvl. I know a lot of people around my cmb lvl with less than 50 mage.

  4. Tryto - thanks. I'm just starting this expedition (only been the 2nd day). I will get there, with detailed descriptions of lessers, skeletons, and hobs.

    insert - jeez louise! are you the security around here? you won't get to mod status around here doing that. I would link a link here (from newgrounds.com) about security people, but I believe that would be breaking a rule.

  5. Hello, everyone! This is WarShadow212 here. This will be my 1st guide. I'm here to provide you a comprehensive guide on not training, but living on Crandor isle. That's right. Living on it!

    I. Introduction & Purpose

    Again, my RS name's WarShadow212. Call me Shadow, not War.

    This guide will help anyone in f2p succeed in combat training by living on Crandor Island. With this guide, I hope to keep to this routine, like a workout for my avatar.

    *Please note: you won't be using a bank for a while, unless you like to run from Draynor to Port Sarim, to Karamja, to the cave, to Crandor Isle, back and forth.*

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    [hide=II. Skill Levels]

    These are my skills so far (taken 12/3/07):

    Skills:

    skillsuv1.png

    *You should be at least 60 cmb (hybrid) to survive well here. If you're a pure, you better run fast and keep your eyes open, and keep em on your hp and run energy.

    **Please note: There are guides to this same subject out there, no doubt on Tip.It as well. This is meant to be an organized guide to CMB training, on this particular area.** [/hide]

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    [hide=III. Requirements]

    [hide=A. Combat Skills]

    - high def (40+ to not lose hp fast, unless you can find a safespot and secure it every time; also to wear rune; 30+ to wear addy. Mith is a joke,

    don't even bother)

    - high atk (40+ to hold rune, 30+ to hold at least addy, 20+ to hold mith)

    - high str (to do some damage)

    - 45+ hp (that's right - 45hp. Lessers do up to 8 damage, about 18% of your hp)

    - if you're training mage - to be effective and maximize profit, 55+. To at least use low alch/get out quick, 25+.

    - if you're training range - 40+ to wear green dragon hide and shoot with steel arrows effectively. [/hide]

    [hide=B. Non-Combat Skills]

    - 40+ fishing (must-have skill, to live without a bank for a while)

    - 1 firemaking (that's right, you need 1 firemaking. I'm serious)

    - 1 woodcutting (that's right, you need 1 woodcutting, also serious)

    - 40+ cooking (to cook lobbies; if you can't cook lobbies, have someone else do it for you) [/hide]

    [hide=C. Items]

    - 30 gp (fee to get to Karamja) + extra gp (as a placeholder in your inventory)

    - tele runes (last resort if you're about to die, anytime; air staff in place of air runes)

    - fire staff

    - a couple nature runes (if you can afford i; as a placeholded in your

    inventory)

    - good armor (rune/green dhide/wizard set; if not rune, then addy)

    - if you're training mage/range:

    > low levels bring a lot of arrows/runes, enough of an amt to not care

    losing.

    > High levels, bring enough to last you a good while.

    - lobster pot

    - any wc axe you can use for your wc lvl (high wc lvls not needed; you do not have to wield it) (OPTIONAL)

    - tinderbox (OPTIONAL)[/hide]

    [hide=D. Quests]

    - at least 32 qp (almost all f2p quests done)

    - must have at least done Dragon Slayer, up to the point of getting on Crandor Island. You do not have to finish the quest to reap the benefits. [/hide]

    **Please note: any pure that gains cmb skills they don't want, through any quests, are not my responsibility. This guide is effective for pures if they can afford to gain the levels in cmb skills they wouldn't usually level up (ex. Witch's Potion - gives magic exp; Vampire slayer - gives atk exp). **

    **Please also note: I have 31 agility. I was p2p before, for a short while. I leveled up in it, to gain the benefit of regaining run energy. If you have the privilege to attain agility levels, do so. ** [/hide]

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    [hide=IV. Equipment]

    My equips:

    armorweptp9.png

    1a) Melee armor set: RUNE > ADDY >>> MITH (nothing lower; don't try to use mith if you can)

    1b) Mage armor set: Full wizard + anti-d-shield >> full wiz (no shield) > anti-d-shield > no (don't even bring metal armor - only hinders mage atk boost. Besides, you could run faster without armor, anyways.

    1c) Range armor set: Green Dhide >>> Studded Leather > Leather >> no (any helm)

    2a) Melee Weapon: RUNE >> ADDY (don't even try and use mith)

    2b) Mage weapon: any elemental staff > magic staff > no

    2c) Range weapon: Maple >> Willow > Oak > Normal

    3) Cape: Any > No

    4) Gloves: Any > Vambraces > No (In the case of rangers: Vambs > Gloves > No)

    5) Boots: Any > No (mages, don't use SoS Boots, gives a -3 magic atk bonus; rangers - SoS boots only do a -1 boost to range atk)

    6) Amulet: Power >>> Str = Def > Unenchanted* > No

    7) Ring*: any gem ring > gold ring > no

    8) Quiver: Addy >> Mith > Steel > Iron (no bronze at all, please)

    Notes:

    a) I can't afford full rune at the moment. I could afford full addy though. Please, please, PLEASE try to wear RUNE. Best boosts in defense, can't stress that enough.

    B) You should have enough money to afford all that. Or at least up to full

    addy. Have enough money for at least full addy.

    *) rings and unenchanted ammys can help you get better drops than if you were not wearing them. This applies to any monster. [/hide]

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    [hide=V. Procedure]

    [hide=Step 1]

    1) Start at Falador

    startatfaladorss0.png

    You will start at Falador. That's right. You start at Falador, not

    Lumbridge, not Varrock. Falador is easiest to a bank as well as teleporting to it is easier than lumbridge tele --> walk to Draynor (bank) --> walk to Port Sarim. Varrock is just plain too far. Which bank to use? Fally East Bank, the bank near the Mining Guild, is the one to use.

    **Note: I do apologize for those without the appropriate mage levels. Using teles makes everyone lazy, and do not recognize the value of a good ole' fashioned walk :) . Those who can't tele to Fally, but can to Varrock.

    Items: You will suit up in the most appropriate suit for your avatar,

    whether warrior, mage, range, or hybrid. In the inventory, load up on:

    - 31+ gp,

    - tinderbox (optional),

    - wc axe (optional),

    - lobster pot (or 20 gp),

    - 1 law rune, 1 water rune, 1 air staff (yes, no air runes) (Fally tele if

    you can/want; Lumby home tele should do just fine)

    --> sub in 1 fire rune for the 1 water rune if you can't tele to Fally.

    - 1 fire staff (yes, no fire runes), a couple nature runes (optional) (for

    lo/hi alch),

    - lobbies (optional - if you have already for your first trek, go ahead.

    Otherwise, don't bring any, as you will fish and cook them.)[/hide]

    [hide=Step 2]

    2) Trek from Fally East Bank to Port Sarim

    Simple enough. Walk south from the bank to the southern entrance of Fally, past the air altar, through the field, to Port Sarim.

    Here's a map from Fally East Bank to Port Sarim Docks, illustrated is the path to take:

    fallytoportsarimvc9.png

    *Note: If you do not have a lobster pot, get one from Gerrant's Shop. About 20 gp. You'll probably have some change. [/hide]

    [hide=Step 3]

    3) Board the ship to Karamja

    Get to the Port Sarim docks:

    portsarimdocksci4.png

    *Note: You do NOT have to complete Pirate Treasure quest to get to Karamja (acknowledgment from Tryto).

    [/hide]

    [hide=Step 4]

    4) Cagefishing at Karamja

    If you have a full inventory of lobs, forget this section. But, I'll put this

    up, solely because you will have to do this to live in Crandor.

    (OPTIONAL) If you haven't got logs yet, get 2 logs near Luthas' plantation.

    Chopping logs:

    chopdownatreeortwozq5.png

    Head over to the docks and start cagefishing. You need 40 fishing to fish lobs, and any higher will make you fish more effectively.

    Cagefishing:

    cagefishingatkaramjaix9.png

    JaGEx, I think we have a problem: - Cagefishing (with autoers) -

    cagefishingatkaramjaautlu5.png

    LOL.

    Don't forget to cook those lobs (need 40 cooking):

    lobcookingskillstc0.png

    Ok, after getting a full inv of lobs...

    fullinvoflobsry4.png

    ...let's head up to Karamja Volcano Cave.

    Here's a map of Karamja (f2p):

    karamjakq2.png

    *Note: illustrated is a path drawn to where to go, from the docks to the lobby docks, and from the docks to the cave. [/hide]

    [hide=Step 5]

    5) Karamja Volcano Cave

    This is where you decide, as a low cmb lvl, is it worth it to go through.

    Karamja Volcano Cave:

    karamjavolcanocaveze7.png

    Hmm, Lesser Demons, Skeletons and Deadly red spiders that are all aggro. Well, well, if you know you want to do this, commit to it. Run as quick as possible, and make sure you can go through the wall (this is where, if you're doing the Dragon Slayer quest, you have to be able to open this wall; you don't have to fight Elvarg to get through this wall.)

    Get to the end, and climb the rope. If you die before that, I'm sorry. That's not my fault. I put up a disclaimer. ;)

    [/hide]

    [hide=Step 6]

    6) Crandor Island, Home Sweet New Home

    Here's where you should come out of, when you climb the rope:

    crandorislesopeninglm9.png

    Landscape's changed... uh-oh. No safespots for lessers, is there? Nope.

    And here's a map of Crandor Isle, along with the paths you should take to each group of monster:

    crandorislemapyi5.png

    Ok, this is where you make your decision to raise cmb. There are 5 types of monsters here, 4 which drop stuff. Don't fight the scorpions if you can. They DO NOT DROP ANYTHING!

    [hide=1. Fighting Lessers]

    If you're 80+ cmb, you can easily take on the Lesser Demons. If you're a pure mage/ranger, find a safespot to fight these huge, aggro beasts.

    If you're weaker, there's 3 more monsters.

    More info on the way.

    [/hide]

    [hide=2. Fighting Skeletons]

    Skeletons are weak, drop not so good stuff. But, you kill 'em fast. They do drop fire runes if you need them. You don't need safespots unless you're a ranger. Then hide behind the ores and range away.

    More info on the way.

    [/hide]

    [hide=3. Fighting Hobgoblins]

    Next up, Hobgoblins. They aggro, and can pack a punch if you don't wear any armor. There are some safespots within the ore patches if you need to use them. They drop decent stuff, but no big bones. They drop fire runes as well.

    More info on the way.

    [/hide]

    [hide=4. Fighting Mosses]

    If you're around the cmb lvl 70-80, this is most likely the reason why you come to raise cmb here on Crandor:

    mossfightoncrandor1yl5.png

    Moss Giants are the relatives of the famed Hill Giants (those giant dum-dums that drop big bones and somewhat good stuff in Edgeville dungeon).

    Mosses are higher leveled, so expect somewhat more improved drops from the mosses.

    - They drop big bones, good prayer exp, of course.

    - They drop about 6 nats a drop if they drop 'em. They drop a lot of lower-lvl steel, mith, blk armor pieces. (This is where lo/hi alch comes in.)

    > You can make money (in the form of gp) by alch, and raise magic lvl in the process. Not only that, it saves space (1 spot for gp instead of 8-10 spots for armor pieces).

    - Mages, they drop a lot of runes - chaos, death, cosmic, nats, elemental(except fire runes - this is why you need a fire staff.)

    - Rangers, they drop up to 30 steel arrows! That's a lot, compared to only 15 iron arrows a drop.

    - They drop gems, so if you want to save em, go ahead. You will need to go back to the bank (in Falador/Lumbridge). This will be pointless. We're really not trying to make money here. We're trying to raise combat here.

    - They drop steel bars and coal. Not much to say there. Your choice of keeping them or alching them. (You run the risk of going back and forth to the bank if you keep em. Yet they sell for 500-600 ea. A dilemma.)

    This area is relatively not crowded during peak times. Otherwise, yes, there will be about 5 people around here to fight only 3 moss giants. At least there are lessers or hobs to fight. [/hide]

    [hide=5. Fighting King Scorpions]

    Relatively [cabbagely] (yes I put that there. Fill in the blank with your own creative word), King Scorpions are just tanks with HP waiting to get drained of. But, problem is, NO DROPS. So, let them live, unless they aggro you. Then, you choose - fight em or run somewhere else.

    [/hide]

    [/hide]

    [hide=Step 7]

    7) To Live On Crandor

    Ok, you've done all these steps. You've had to eat a lobby or two, or the

    whole inventory full to collect items, alch, rinse, and repeat. Well, do not

    fret! You can go back to Karamja to fish and cook more lobs. Only problem is, do not do this while you're about to die. You run through the cave, if you get hit while running, and that's the shot that gets you, guess what? YOU'RE DEAD!

    Good things come to those with patience. There are relatively sparse spots to stand and regain hp.

    Pretty much, you'll repeat steps 4 through 7 to live on Crandor. [/hide]

    [/hide]

    ***NOTE: KING Scorpions - lvl 32 - do NOT DROP A THING! Rangers, don't fight them - like fighting metal armor. Rangers, you know how you can't fight warriors effectively in the wild? Yesh, same principle applies here. Mages, you can fight it, but no drops (kinda worthless, when you could get runes as drops). Meleers could fight it, cost-effectively, but NO DROPS. Generally, fighting something for drops is more worth it than no drops. We are aiming for drops. You could fight them for last resort. Here's their profile. ***

    [hide=VIII. Benefits of Living on Crandor]

    You will raise more than cmb (atk, str, def, mage, range, hp). You will raise:

    - prayer (slowly but surely - 4.5 exp per bones, 15 exp per big bones),

    - fishing (90 exp per lobby),

    - cooking (120 exp per lobby),

    - wcing and fming (to a small extent, unless you really have 1 fm and 1 wc)

    You will, if not already, be able to use the higher melee/mage/range equipment. Spells-wise, mages will be able to use hi-alch (lvl 55), teles to fally & lumby, not to mention, blast spells instead of strikes and bolts.

    You will be able to PK more effectively than you used to before. Simply because, training the correct skills in your capacity and your desires will

    help you attain your goals. [/hide]

    [hide=IX. FAQ]

    Q) You should cut the beginning of the procedure down.

    A) Not a question, but ok. I put the beginning part in there to cover all bases before I get those suggestions. I also put sufficient rationale there for why I chose certain things.

    Q) OMG! You copied "Crandor melee training f2p" guide. N00b!

    A) Technically, I improved on his guide. I didn't think anyone would post a guide on it so soon. I was thinking about it, and so I said I'd make a more comprehensive one. Here's the other guy's guide: Crandor Melee Training f2p

    Q) Ur a n00b-ch00b-fr00b. U 5uck s0 muc4. I w1ll pwn ur @ss. LOLZORS!!!!!1!1!1!11111!!!

    A) Security!!! And yeah, I admit, I'm a little noobish at my lvl. So what, everyone goes at their own pace. You wanna go finish the game early, be my guest.

    Q) OMG! Shadow, you can't finish the game?

    A) Technically, if you do all the quests, get all the items you want, get 99 in every skill, and are content with what you've done, yes you've finished the game. I don't think that JaGEx will go above 126 cmb lvl, nor past 99 in each skill, so yeah.

    Q) Can you detail the other monsters?

    A) I will. I just started this. I will put up detailed descrips ASAP, when I see fit to do them. Otherwise, if anyone has detailed recollections of the effectiveness of lesser laying, hobgob hunting, or skeleton smashing, post them, I will give you full credit.

    X. Credits

    I'd like to thank:

    1) JaGEx, for creating an incredible 2nd alternate life, called RuneScape.

    2) Tip.It, for being a great fansite, and letting me use their images and info.

    3) Other RS Players, for giving me the idea that it's cool "to be behind", because everyone is unique, and everyone has unique goals.

    4) The readers, for inquisiting as to what this guide can do for them.

  6. Hey everyone,

    I'd like to know if it's possible to separate all the guides in AOW and Help & Advice by f2p and p2p categories.

    I'm f2p, and I'm looking through the AOW section pretty feverishly, specifically looking for the f2p guides, the few, swimming in the vast p2p guide pool. Any way we can get that split into f2p and p2p for easy searching?

    Thanks for listening,

    ~WSW~

  7. Points to point out:

    (1) The new prices, set by JaGEx at first, will flux throughout time, will be the new prices of stuff found in the player shops in general stores and specialty stores: [e.g. i saw pure ess sold @ 86 ea, reg ess @ 28 ea (no longer 1-5ea)]

    This hurts anyone who would have wanted to pick up scraps @ the gen store. I know I like to pick up a couple airs @ 2 ea. No longer possible, they're 14 ea now.

    This is an unfortunate result of the GE. But in the end, this should be most beneficial.

    (2) You can buy as much as you need. You put up the money, the system finds the price you're looking for, it'll take from every item offer put up.

    Ex. Let's say you want to buy mith ore @ 470 gp. You want 1k of it. You put up 470k. Let's say 3 people put up mith ore in the GE. One offer is 5k mith ore @ 470 ea, 8k mith ore @ 450 ea, and 30 mith ore @ 440. It'll take 1k ore from the offer of 470 ea. And automatically you can pick up 1k mith ore. The bar should be green when your order is ready.

    (3) If you want to buy an item, and there are many offers of items in the system already, it will pick the item with THE MATCHING PRICE.

    Ex. You want a d-long @ 100k. There are offers of d-longs in the system, at all sorts of prices within the +-5% range. It will look at the 100k offers first, pick one at random. In the end, this effect will carry over to everyone, because there are more than 1 buyers of d-longs @ 100k. Millions of players.

    (4) "One of your offers has been updated.", or along the lines of that. If you abort an offer, if you put up a new offer, if yo udo anything to any of your offers, if your offer has been bought, if your offer has been sold, that message will come up.

  8. Yes, change is bound to happen. Thanks for the heads up.

    I've come back to RS from a 6 months hiatus, also known as college. On my time off, I've learned a lot more from playing other games :shock:. Yes, I turned to other MMORPGs, and other video/computer games, but I find myself back on RS.

    There's something about RS that makes it addictive. That element is the "alternate life". You don't get to be 12 years old and be a ruthless pking machine at the same time. Nor can you freely use magic in real life. Change is bound to happen in any lifetime, whether real or alternate. Just that this change is directly the result of JaGEx's decisions combined with the huge tides of player suggestions.

    In the past few weeks, everyone has been sure to notice some somewhat huge changes to the game: Duel Arena update, Grand Exchange, and Summoning.

    First of all, Summoning. JaGEx says, "You're extremely welcome." Not just to the p2pers that pay a bit of their salary, but to the f2pers. This is an ultimately incredible way to bring f2pers to the p2p side, and an attraction to new players. Sure, it's got to have kinks in it, but kinks will be ultimately taken out. So, when it does come out, be happy. If you don't want to be involved in Summoning, don't worry about it. People complain about new skills. I know, when I was p2p, I said to myself I wouldn't do Hunter. I thought it was boring. I didn't do any Hunter, 'til the end of my membership. Yet, I didn't complain about Hunter. I think it's boring still. That's just my opinion. Anyway, moving on.

    People think the Duel Arena update is unfair. Tournament mode seems extremely promising. I'm not p2p, and when I was p2p, I didn't try Duel Arena. Just because 1) I knew my original main (a hybrid) was not up to par with the incredible pures of my level, and 2) I didn't have anything I could afford to lose. But, I do know, by observation, Duel Arena is extremely fun. Staking now of course has sunk to 3k gp/15 mins. 15 mins is not a lot of time, folks. People can still trade between their accounts, just slower. It's not the point to take out the restriction. Just that this is an easy way to do it "legally." Anyways, stop complaining about the cap and go try out tournament mode... 64 million gp could be up for stake for you.

    I don't get why people see the Grand Exchange as the be-all, end-all of the RS Global Market as we know it. Obviously, this has been a rip from other games. I know the most recent game I played with that system was... Pokemon Diamond! (duh duh duh) I know, kinda babyish, but you don't know how much I've been waiting for this to come out. I've played Pkmn since Yellow Version, and didn't find many people at all to trade with freely. Now, with the GTS (Global Trade Station), I was able to quickly get a pkmn I wanted, and I put up a pkmn (something I might not have wanted) that someone else might have!

    Think about it, in RS terms now. If, let's say, you're looking for a quest item. You're so engrossed in this quest, that you're willing to trade anything for it. (Maybe not anything, if you're profit-minded.) But, there ARE people who will trade anything for the items they want. Not everyone thinks of profit. You put up a spade, and someone needs one bad. That lucky other person will be so happy to see a spade up for trade, and if they have what you asked for, you'll probably get what you want. (No, I don't think anyone in their right mind will put up 3 mil for a spade, but it doesn't hurt to try anyway :) ). Point is, you're making someone else happy, probably ecstatic, while you get what you need, making you happy. The Grand Exchange, morally, is the best thing to happen to RS.

    Now, economically, yes, we're probably gonna see rare prices drop. You don't think JaGEx has that in mind? Has anyone thought that there might be in the works, a brand new rare item to come out in the coming years? Hey, maybe there's an item in our time (2006-2007) that will attain rare status someday, give it a couple years, mind you. But, there's the possibility of A NEW RARE! You think JaGEx would like to see a new rare out there themselves? Of course! It's call publicity! It's also out of their goodwill they'll see players happy getting a new rare item. Yes, some players will hoard (unless it's got a cap on it). But most likely, it could be an item you can only have 1 of, and will check your bank/inventory/equipment to see if you already have one. It won't be rare now, but in a couple years, it might be. Just keep collecting.

    Now, expect more changes. Be prepared. Be informed. Think how new changes could affect the economy or you. Be on the lookout for new exciting upgrades to RS. It's bound to happen, because imagination never ceases.

    ~WSW~

  9. WHOA!

    WHOA! WHOA! WHOA! take it down a couple notches here... calm y'all arses down now!

    This really isn't a definitive argument between toxic and stihl and striker, and any other smart-arse who wants to get legal and technical here, but isn't the F2P Aspect of RS definitve based on JaGEx's terms? They have not called it a demo at all. When I found the game (yes, on Miniclip, got a problem? otherwise I wouldn't be playing), it was a GAME, not a demo. But, hell, that's still up to JaGEx whether or not to call it a demo. A demo really doesn't appeal to many people. A demo is like, "hmm, this'll be done in 1 hour", or "I can't save my stuff." RS is too furnished a game already to become called a demo. Rather it's step 1 for JaGEx's marketing ploy, which is incredible in their part. Bravo, really, JaGEx! No joke.

    Back on topic, which I believe is not nerfing or dropping p2p items into f2p, but the topic is WHETHER OR NOT F2P SHOULD GET NEW MAGE ROBES!

    I support. I'm p2p. I don't know why I am still p2p. I don't play much, and hell, I haven't done any p2p quests in the past 3 months. Actually, I've been trying to sell off all my p2p items, just in case I have to drop/want to drop to f2p. ("Hah, is he crazy?" moment)

    I absolutely support. Yeah, I'm only a cmb 75, but my mage is 64. In the past 3 months, what, JaGEx brought out CONSTRUCTION ROBES? WTF do they do? Give you a +5 boost in construction? Not even a temp boost of 1 extra const lvl when you wear the full set. (I didn't get the outfit, ive only 6 constr, i rly dont care about constr.)

    I'm sick of seeing so many freakin mage robes in p2p. I'm @ Seers all the time, and let's say 90% of people NOT WEARING RUNE are wearing blue or red mystic. It's BS.

    Having em on f2p would be great! In limited quantities, though, it'd suck if every freakin player was wearing those robes. URGHHH... .

    No, not mystic or splitbark.

    I would like to see (here's a joke!) INFINITY ROBES on f2p. They are extremely hard to get. I tried to attempt to do it. Then I found out, you have to do all 4 things, not just 1. I just left it after seeing that. What a waste of cosmics.

    No, not infinity robes. What, you thought I was high? pftttt....

    There's been an idea floating around, at least, Tip.It forums about the fabled PALADIN ARMOR, armor consisting of a mage-melee mix. Metal armor, dyed in 3 different colors for the 3 gods of RS...

    Actually, it was MY IDEA.

    Paladin platebody, Paladin platelegs/skirt, Paladin staff, Paladin mystic hat, Paladin boots, Paladin gloves, and Paladin cape.

    Best for mages (full set with an offensive total boost of +50, and a defensive total boost of +50), it's also effective (not as well) when worn by meleers or hybrids. For full mage effect to work, your Magic level must be greater than the highest of your Attack, Strength, or Defense lvls.

    A quest can be done to obtain this in F2P. Not craftable by P2P. This is god Mage armor.

    The quest can be along the lines of this...

    The gods of Gielinor have long ignored the simple folk in Misthalin and Morytania (f2p moment - the f2p lands) in their long-standing struggle for balance of power. The gods, although mighty, have grown accustomed to each other's strengths. The gods, whichever side you choose, need brave souls to assist them in their quest for good, evil, or neutrality.

    Requirements:

    60+ Combat

    --> 50+ Defense

    --> 50+ Mage

    40+ Firemaking

    45+ Woodcutting

    Quests needed:

    Dragon Slayer (must be able to get into Champion's Guild)

    Witch's Potion

    This is an f2p quest, yes. Whatever it boils down to, it better be long and hard, 'cause the rewards are too great!

    Yeah... I'll have pics of some Paladin armor up in a while. (Probably a separate thread)

    But for this, I support (half-heartedly)

  10. Ah, I too remember those days of when the dinosaurs ruled the earth and before the computer was mainstream.

    Good times.

    Thank God for Runescape, coming in and bashing books though. Now what to do about those "old fossils" ruling? (get the pun? lol)

    On topic, overall, very nice job, we all have these similar thoughts, and we constantly ask ourselves, "Am I addicted?"

    We define addict to ourselves. No one definition is the same. But being reasonable within the limits of social graces is a limiting bound, our grace period to tranisition ourselves from 2D life to 3D life.

    Be frank with this statement here, but don't bash me, I have no intentions whatsoever of offending anyone here.

    Don't be a lil dork, playing RS in the corner, unless you're handicapped (in no way you can go out from your home), you have no friends, you are an agoraphobic, AND you have some life-threatening disease that is contagious, so you're in a literal bubble. (not or, that would make the bounds too broad.)

    I hope no one playing RS is what was aforementioned.
