Hm, that's quite a genius plan if I do say so myself, which I (you) just did.

Hegemony Argument Thread
Nah-uh. The post count will drop by 20%. We never argue. 80% Do I hear 75? Going once...going twice... and this is directed at no one in particular, but how does Retech know what happened to Hedgehog? I don't remember explaining it to him(her?) and I find it unlikely that he(she?) went through the entire old thread and read all of it, although I did recently link back to it. I'm suspicous. Yeah maybe Retech is me and I created another empire to take Japan DUNDUNDUNNN I do.

Aye, but Rocco will get 1st pick on the new map, and Rpg 2nd, Hex 3rd. Also, not really sure how many regions to make along the coast, as insofar I don't know how many people will be playing.- Hegemony Argument Thread

Which reminds me, I still need to find that teleporter exit hidden in Berlin somewhere. Anywho, TFed is assisting the Combine in setting up orbital sheilds and long range scanners in and around their system(s).- Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Random event: Every planet rebels and joins the Terran Federation. Now, stop arguing my puppets.- Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Sorry, TFed has enough dead bodies lying around needing to be disposed of already. hehe- Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
TFed is installing orbital shields on all of its planets, as well as orbital defense platforms. Long-range scanners are being sent all around TFed's area of control, so advance warning will be given whenever a ship enters Federation spacespace (airspace lol). We're also working on improving the farm spray and some of the immunity enhancements (with the Combine and Brazil).- Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
:) Mind to share when you're finished? Explain to Retech why suits cannot work indefinitely and require filter changes. That's besides the point, how will his people eat? They can't be in a suit 24/7 Some people like to be well dressed. That's what the planetary shield is for. Another advantage.. -- Also, as per King John: Yes, Britannia can have him back. :wall: You mwan that was it and you didn't download it? For christ sake. I'll download it if it gets this game going. I just worry about things like that, they're used for viruses all the time. Avira, AVG, McAfee, Kaspersky ? <-- Has Norton. *cries self to sleep* EDIT: Also maybe we should add a little terrain? A lot can be changed by having high ground etc. The thing was I didn't want to have to work out all the little bonuses and whatnot +5% for hills +10% for mountains +5% for scythed chariots +5% for bodkin arrows +5% for tempered steel swords etcetcetc I'd probably get overwhelmed and lose track of it all anyways. If it turns out that the game is really boring without all the little additions then it'll be modified. Right now I'd like to start with the system as it is, sort of the bare bones so as to see what needs tweaking, removing, or adding. Btw Norton sucks. -- Game starts Monday, so make a post if you're willing to take part.- The Promised Land

Hey, me attacking Earth was not a random disaster[/Joke] Yeah, I do that. Does anyone have a list of disasters? I had a whole system set up before. I'll go find it in the depths of my computer. EDIT: I can't find it, it must have been on my laptop which is now dead. But here is the gist of it. I had a list of all the empires. Each was given a number (If there were 8 total players, they would each get a number 1-8). There were three "random event" categories. The first were localized disasters, things like hurricanes, earthquakes, rioting, food shortages, minor epidemics (think h1n1, but not as bad as spanish influenza), electrical failure, and so on. The second were global disasters. Things like temperature changes, pandemics, major pandemics, massive increases in piracy of ships and so on. Then there were Empire Bonuses/anti-bonuses. An empire would be randomly chosen to get one of the following benefits: 5% gdp increase, 5% gdp decrease, 5 year research bonus, lose 3 years on a research, Increase production by 50% for a year, decrease it by 50% a year and so on. Yes I remember, I got hit with natural disasters almost every turn hehehe. Aww what did he say? I missed it. Yes I was going to say I was in a recession, but economics have never really been a strong point in this game, so I didn't bother. :)- The Promised Land
I think that is called first come, first serve. Well, I thought about it, but no. I just don't think it quite has the appeal required. I mean for the most part you will be waiting for stuff to be done....and waiting...and waiting. The battle engagements seem too simplistic(as is the way with Rock-Paper-Scissors) and will just lead to people building an army to stop/fight their neighbour, since they can both change their army one after the other you could even have a running conversion all the way up to the final second...ebay style. Also, if you were terribly smart, you would get to the promised land and then create a death dot(a stack of troops which can defeat anything). So the last 15 days would be terribly drawn out, unless people united and threw 5 or more armies at it...Then who would win out of the a three way? Since the two victors couldn't occupy the same territory... The walls thing sounds good, but what is the point? Since everything is going towards the middle build a wall to protect your outer provinces, or even your harbour provinces is fairly pointless, since once you get across you can build a harbour there and sacrifice your colonies. I mean spending 20 years and tonnes of resources on something that isn't really worthwhile doesn't seem terribly good. Also can they(Walls) be destroyed? If so how? Not to put too much of a dampener on it because it would be cool if it worked=) The way it would work is that even if you had the promised land and managed to build enough armies, you still wouldn't be strong enough to take on everyone. And since you can only win by taking the promised land, everyone will be attacking you. As for sacrificing your colonies after taking the promised land, yeah, you could do that. But if you lose the promised land you have no regions, and so you're eliminated from the game. Hm, maybe 3 years to change an army then? Death dot? Promised land can only hold 4 armies, and so if two people attacked you with their two fleets in armies then you'd be pretty much on even ground. If 3 people attacked then you'd be outnumbered. The victor would be decided by me or randomly I guess. What's the point in walls? Exactly. They're just a little addition. No buildings can be destroyed. Swordsmen, Swordsmen, Spearmen would beat it. Battles would be about strategy as well, so if you say: "I attack with my army" I'll just assume they're going to march in a straight line towards the enemy and then engage. But if someone actually makes up a battle plan...- Hegemony-V2 begins page 302

I was about to debate that with you, then I realised that I started off as the Kingdom of Eire and later became the Britannian Empire. I think it was more like: Germany > The Fourth Reich > Germania > Europa > Terran Federation > part of Norway > part of the Brazilian Empire > Germania > Terran Federation See even I forget. TFed has sent off a colony ship to a system outside of the map as well.- Hegemony-V2 begins page 302

Bolded part is what I would have a problem with. I hope Hex isn't talking about you Dusty. From what I remember, you didn't join the original Hegemony til around page 50. Danquelzep was the original owner of Germany. Oh I know. And OldJoe was leader of Germany before that I believe. Try to remain neutral on what? I have no idea what your post is about. -- Arch yes, that sounds better. And that armour you did state was immune to pretty much everything, in one of your first posts about building the caravels.- Hegemony-V2 begins page 302

I think most people are annoyed at the fact that you aren't taking any time to research all of this groundbreaking, game-changing, nigh-unbeatable technology, and then are proceeding to build more equipment and ships than any of the other players (including the ones like me and Doom, who have the resources of 15+ planets) instantly. Lol. The idea of majority rule before was "let's all kick Dusty out of the thread since he's bigger than us". Watch your mouth. - The Promised Land
