  1. You'll usually see me with a frog mask, amulet of power, dragon vambraces, green cape, and fancy boots. The rest is based on what I'm doing at the time.
  2. You shouldn't be able to hit 40 in f2p. I agree that magic in f2p could use slight boosting. Slightly better armor and the snare spell should balance it for combat. Chaos rune crafting would be very helpful, but it's not really too big of a deal. (Rangers don't get to make their own arrows, to be fair. :P ) All-in-all, it isn't too bad, especially since those low level mage pkers are overpowered. (magic has a tendancy to decline in power as levels grow higher in RPG's, or at least all the ones I've played)
  3. I can definately support such an idea. There is one problem though... such an advanced bank system may work with the game engine, or may cause massive lags. It's good to hope for though.
  4. With how long I've played, I've noticed it to ge a steady decline overall... and it wasn't exactly the best when I started. = / If you have doubts about it, go to the fishing area in Karajama periodically... It's not been getting much better, and I suspect other popular areas may soon follow to that decline.
  5. What stopped me from doing this is people taking advantage of it... I'd really like to help new players, but the ones that are actually new to the game are hard to come by. It's a shame there are so many people that like to take advantage of generous people.
  6. I had a hard time reporting some one once because their name was "NAME (bunch of spaces) #" I'm still not quite sure how they got their name like that, but I couldn't figure out how to report the person.
  7. Lol, that one was a bit off. :-k Actually, I think I recall something similar before.
  8. I started sometime late 2001, I think... It was around the same time as the Dragon Quest. My beginning was hilarious. I made a character and got to Lumbridge. I had no idea where I was, lol. Took me about 5min to figure out I had to click to walk. I eventually travelled around the whole world, only to end back in Lumbridge, lost and no longer recognizing where I was. My friend who introduced me to the game somehow knew who I was and started private messaging me. Took me a bit to figure out who he was. He told me to come to lumbridge, so I walked to the nearest town I could find and started asking where lumbridge was(I finally figured out how to respond, after my friend told me. lol) Turns out that I was in Lumbridge asking where Lumbridge was. I eventually found my friend and we started training on level 8 cows. Obviously, I've improved a lot since then.(Heck, couldn't really get much worse than that) I missed the soft rocks(as they were eventually called) most of all, because the crowds that came were getting really irritating. I missed several of the drops.(the earliest I attended was the easter egg drop, and I traded the one I found for an adam kite shield to someone who really wanted the egg - though I sort of regret the trade a bit now, I'm sure that person really appreciated it.) My friend got to tell my all about the party hats, I wish I had been on then, sounded like a ton of fun... = / I eventually gave up on my first character and made a new one.(twice, actually)
  9. One thing I have wondered is if he ever looks at any games other than RS. Just out of curiousity. I also remember seeing someone name themselves "Zezima" on another game, though they didn't say much other than a greeting.
  10. Whether it's helping people or not, it's still cheating. In one point of view, the fact that they get such great hords of essence could be hurting the game by making it far too easy to obtain. It is always wrong to cheat. I'm also going to ask: Did the rune prices go down after the introduction to runecrafting?
  11. If the common person buys and sells properly, the prices will not rise. To take advantage of the situation and rise rune prices should not be encouraged, and it can be detoured. Regular rune essence can still be used to make money.(though not as much) Being a merchant is like playing the stock market; it will have it's ups and downs, sometimes crashing and others skyrocketing. If someone is selling runes at higher prices because of this, simply don't buy and encourage regular prices if you can. The most common reason that regular essence prices haven't dropped further is because everyone is trying to sell them before they loose more of their value. I believe that in the future the regular essence prices will settle within 5-10 range. The runes that can be made on free servers are not worth a lot, and paying 15gp an essence right now isn't really worth it to make them unless you have higher runecrafting.(which is why the essence prices should decline further) Pure essence should be much easier to mine than the other things at level 30 and up many levels from that. The essence mines are a click away from bank, and essence can be mined fairly quickly(quicker than most ore, and you don't have to worry about crowds when mining it) Selling it should be better for profit than other things you can mine because of that, so I doubt essence will be in such short supply as to crash the runescape economy. Though the essence changes may not completely stop the macroers, it does help enormously in stopping people from making real-life money off of it. That makes the update seem a bit more worth it in my opinion.
  12. The problem is now that people might have to mine their own essence instead of buying it is that it takes more time to level runecrafting that way. Runecrafting gives a small amount of exp compared to other stats, but there was abundant supply of rune essence that made up for that. After the update, it will take much longer for people to level runecrafting. Money isn't truly that much of an issue unless people start selling pure essence for ridiculous prices.(say 150 an essence) Other than that, there shouldn't be that much of an effect. I doubt rune prices will rise. If you stocked up on tons of essence on free server, you could take time to turn them into air or mind runes to gain exp and money. You'd get up to 8 runes per essence from these(depending on your runecrafting level) and be able to sell them at regular price. That should even things out there.
  13. How would they be able to tell when everyone had sold their essence? Not all players that have essence are still playing, and this would encourage macroers to mine essence even more because essence would become easier to sell.
  14. I remember a time when I could buy and sell chaos runes for 50gp, death runes for 100gp, laws for 200, and natures for 50. This, however, was before the introduction of runecrafting, and all runes were not so easily obtained. Now after RS2 and runecrafting, the prices for chaos are 100, death for 200, laws for 1000, and natures for 300. I don't think they'll be pushed any further. To me it seems kind of odd that prices would inflate on objects that had become quite a bit easier to obtain. Though essence prices might change, it should not be that much of an issue for money. There are many better ways to make money, low levels shouldn't have it THAT easy in my opinion. It doesn't take long to be able to mine iron/coal or to be able to chop willows or even yews(woodcutting rises fast). The new shortage of pure essence may encourage runecrafters to mine their own essence more, and does make it more time consuming to raise runecrafting. This does cause some complications. If Jagex staff was encouraged to double the exp gained from pure essence,(or multiply it x1.5) it would make it more worthwile. There could also be more random events to make the essence trips more interesting. Please keep in mind that there are pure players that might not appreciate being punished in an attempt to get rid of macroers. It would only make matters much worse for the mages and some miners that want essence. I would also prefer not to see something added that would just be annoying to most people. Detouring macroers is quite a complex complication no matter how you look at it. They may not have been stopped completely, but it does make it harder for them to profit from the essence mines. I doubt you'll see a massive number of macroers starting to infest the essence mines on members world because of this. However, this may not have been the best solution for getting rid of macroers, but it does make the game less effected by them if you look at it right. The massive amount of macroers is a problem I shall meditate upon. I truly disagree with them being able to infest the game.
