I found the problem, I was killing giant rats instead of rats :oops:

I had the same idea as the topicstarter and started witch potion. I got eye of newt, the onion and burnt meat. but everytime I kill a rat I don't get his tail, are there special rats or something? Topicstarter, have you finished the quest by now?

stupid me, I prolly wasn't reading the question properly then :oops: -teleport? -running very fast!!!(prolly won't work) -tell them that you will beat them up in RL? just some thoughts :P

my account was locked aswell and I got it back in a few seconds. what I did was 'continue appeal' and I written down every stat I had and what I had in my bank. since it was locked nobody could look into my account and nobody knew what I had in my bankaccount. that's how the knew I was the real owner of the account.

true, but it would take more time so less time to do something else. The money and xp is better though. another question, what is a better market:mining coal or selling steel bars? and what's the average price for coal? 175 gp ea?

I am still f2p until the summer. But what do you guys do? mine everything yourself or just buy the coal? what do you prefer? mining everything yourself is boring, but makes more profit. that's what I want to know...

I finally found the answer. this might be useful for the tip.it quest guide aswell(where can I report things like that). you need to have 2 hammers in your inventory, don't ask me why but that's what questhelp mentioned and when I killed the vampire using 2 hammers I finally killed him.

well, I now have 60k to spend and I wanted to buy coal with it, I would mine the iron ore myself and sell the steel bars for profit. that would cost:175(I hope)x200=35k I would sell it for 55k. Or I could mine all of it myself and make 55k profit. the first option will get me 20k profit and it would take me 1,5 hour including smithing and selling and buying. The second option will cost me nothing so that's 55k profit. I would do it in 3 hours I reckon including mining, smithing and selling. 20k/1,5=13,3k an hour 55k/3=18,3k an hour so the second option will get me more money but is more boring? what do you suggest? and will people sell coal for 175 gp each. I have seen people selling them for 150 gp each... any thoughts? and are my calculations correct?

that's all very nice, but you can't match this: a couple of months ago I found 147 bronze knives/daggers. you know, that weapon that nobody uses. that was so sweet. I sold all of them to a general store, I had 250 gp profit :lol: and yeah, I was a n00b back then.

I have problems with chatting thanks to the update. One guy on my friend-list was online, I now that for sure because he kept asking me things the whole time I was online. I couldn't respond to him because in my friend-list sayed that he was OFFLINE. at one moment I stood right next to him and still he was offline according to my friend-list. It was quite annoying because I couldn't chat to him in private. and ofcourse the chat lags, it takes a long time before my text appears on screen. hope they fix the problems they still have.

I only have one question to the topicstarter...you want to buy 1 partyhat but who will get the hat? won't there be any fighting :?:

I just did 100 in 25 minutes, so I am slow. I forgot to run:p anyway, the mining of the ores takes the moest time and it's boring. but when you sell all does ores for a nice profit you are probably happy you did it. good luck with smelting...

you are correct. the quest isn't difficult, I did it with 25 combat. Just run fast:P you may want to look at the quest guide before you start that quest. It can save you a lot of time.

well, I will use the help then. and I use the stake on the last blow, very weird. I only fight one count draynor, that's not it. I will try again and if that doesn't work then I will get the help.

well, I killed that vampire 4 times today. I will describe whats happens: I have garlic, stake and hammer and fight the vamp. at the final hit he vanished, I think that he is killed and I go to morgan in draynor village to tell him that he is save. But then he says that the vampire stills lives blabla...it's really frustrating.

when I want to attack the vampire i have to right click and then select attack. with a atsake I can do it right away. but I cant wield a stake...I am so confused right now...

then perhaps the people here at tip.it should change the quest guide:P

did check everything, I will attack him with a stake now. I thought that having it in my inventory was enough...

and again, I just killed him. it was the last blow and he vanished and when I looked in the coffin he came out of it again. I don't get it, I have garlic in my inventory, I have a stake in my inventory and a hammer. the same hammer you use for smithing, that's good enough right? or do I need to wield the stake or something?

I just killed count draynor. I had a glove of garlic with me, a hammer and the stake given to me by dr.Harlow. I killed that vampire, how much I still haven't finished the quest? I am puzzled!

yes that's prolly best. my def increased some to lvl 20 because i bought a mith shield but could only wield it at lvl 20+ lol....thanks for all your hints, I will take membership tomorrow.

I think I will get membership tomorrow or so, I am in the netherlands and I am told that it would take 2 weeks! it's 10 dollars(8 euros) per month. That's quite a lot, are there cheaper ways? What I am doing in the game right now is mining iron ore near varrock and bank it. then I travel to al-kharid to make bars of them. I also fish and cook there to have something to eat. Then I will visit the al-kharid palace and doubleteam etc. that has helped me alot. after that I will go back to Varrock and get those iron bars out of the bank and go to the nearest anvil. So I train mining, smithing, fishing, cooking and combat. I just bought a longbow to train ranging, will start when I have cash for arrows :lol: I also have full iron and my weapon is a black longsword. I just have a few more questions: 1)how much would I get for selling one(or more ofcourse) iron bar? are there standard prizes? 2)what's more important, strenght or attack? My attack is 15, my strenght 16 and my defence 11. any suggestions? should I go for one good hit or 2 less powerfull hits?

that's true, I think I'll do doric's quest for the mining exp and then go work on my fighting skills. then I will do vampire slayer, do you have experience with that? It's a lvl 34 so I am a bit scared :lol: being victorious there gives me 3825 xp!!!
