right now I am doing the dragon slayer quest: you need to have started the quest to get the antidragon shield. the price when buying from players varies. sometimes you can get them for 100 gp and some want 500 gp. I have seen them getting sold for 2k! just start the quest and go the duke...it's the cheapest way.

it's a p2p drop if remembered correctly or buy from player. I don't think there is a f2p shop for it, there isn't a rune scimi at champions guide for sure.

hmm okay, any other person who can comment on this? So people use scimi because it's faster, not because of better hits..

If I remember correctly it was lvl 19/lvl 20 graveyard..

are you going for exp or drops? If you are going for exp. then train magic at barbarian village, just stand between all those ores. the NPC's won't walk around them to attack you, the drops are really bad but those barbarians respawn pretty quickly and there are a lot of them.

the scimi has 6/10 speed, the long sword 5/10 and the battle axe 4/10. that would mean that the slash of a scimi is better, but still lacks in stabbing. does this do any damage to training? will I traing something less quickly?

I was looking at some rune weapons lately. I am boosting my attack to lvl 40 to get me a rune weapon. I will also get my defence up to 40 for rune chain, legs and full helm. I will also get dragonshield for elvarg.... I was looking at some high level f2p the other day, the best they could buy is rune ofcourse and 90% of them were using rune scimi. also when I go to tip.it general forum I see dropparty's where scimi are being dropped. but let's look at the stats: rune scimi: stab+7 slash:+45 crush:-2 magic:+0 range:+0 bonus: +44 strenght defence bonus: slash:+1 rune longsword: stab:+38 slash:+47 crush:-2 magic:+0 range:+0 bonus: strenght:+49 defence: slash:+3 crush:+2 So it looks like the longsword is better, if I remember correctly they will both cost 2 rune bars. So price shouldn't be a problem. even battle axe ownes the scimi: stab:-2 slash:+48 crush:+43 magic:+0 range:+0 bonus: strenght:+64!!! So the scimi has only one good attack, the rune longsword has 2. and if you want to kill an enemy wearing lots of armour, then use the battle-axe. So why do people use scimi? just for fun or is it because of that little advertising for al-kharid??

hmm right now I have full mith except for plate which is black, I am saving up to get full rune and increasing my stats for that. it feels like a waste to buy addy just for the quest, can I do it with full mith, rune scimi and anti dragon shield? should I train my defence to lvl 40 aswell to get my rune defence-stuff? and right now I am training mostly on varrock guards and dark wizards, moss giants are nice but too busy and that's why I can't get any drops. are there other good trainingsspot for me? for melee? I allready have a nice place to increase magic...

will do, I am an excellent cook:P I have lobbies, stews, pies, pizza's etc. etc. so 40 def isn't really required?

you'll get 17,5 xp per ore if I remember it correctly. when mining 7k you will get 7000x17,5 mining exp and 700k. you don't need to work at a certain stat, you can start right now! So iron mining:)

why dont you mine then? do you need to smith it, I know thats boring indeed. just sell it for 100 ea, you can make some quick cash...

perhaps you could mine iron, whats your mining lvl? you mostly need one hit with 30+ mining and rune or addy pickaxe...

and where should I train to get to those levels? moss giants? something else?

I am only lvl 32 combat and I will post my stats here: combat:32 attack;28 strenght:25 defence:25 range:1 prayer:17 magic:29 hitpoints:27 I will need to get 40 defence for rune, but are there any other things I must have?ofcourse lvl 33 magic for telegrab. and what should I do, defeat the dragon with magic or melee?

bloodangel is correct, they are changing things in f2p quests alot recently. hope we will find more nice stuff.

runecrafting a few thousands mind runes...boring :oops:

the full blue wizard outfit goes for 2,5k-3k. although I have 2 sets for 6k :D

that's exactly what I did but then it said I need a tiara...well, I will try again. Just need to tele again(yeah, just got to that magic lvl)

I wanted to try out the runecrafting skill because buying runes costed me way to much money. My first trip was successfull but when I went again it sayed:you need a tiara. why is that? and how much would a tiara cost me when buying from other players? I tried the air and mind altar and both sayed the same. I did have the right talismann with me though. any thoughts?

have you done witch potion and imp catcher allready? my mage lvl was as low as yours, so then I did those 2 quests to have more options. or buy wizard mind bombs in the bar in falador. that way you will have an higher level and you can increase your level faster because the more difficult spells give you more xp. hope this helps (a bit)

and can you make any money at all with low alchemy? I just reached magic lvl 21 so that's what I want to know. i allready looked at the alchemy table but I don't know how much nature runes cost etc. any suggestions?
