  1. Defender actually has +5 str bonus so its only -2. I totally agree with your sentiment.
  2. Gremmy, Is it really that more efficient? Ive observed other maxed out players using both Bandos + DFS or Bandos + Whip. They dont kill Abyssal Demons faster than I do with my Whip and Defender. Maybe being maxed out changes the dyanamics....but is killing an Abyssal Demon 0.01 seconds faster worth 20 million gold. Zotto, I have to admit SGS is quite useful. Armadyl is also a boon to Pkers. The main items I have problems with are Bandos Armor and DFS.
  3. I have a question for all of you regarding your use of certain high end items. Why do you wear "great" armor or use an "awesome" weapon? Let me elaborate on what I mean by this. On most melee based Slayer tasks, I use a Whip and Defender and wear Rune legs and plate. This is in contrast to the common combination of DFS + Bandos Armor + Whip or Bandos Armor + Godsword. The difference in cost of these combinations is vast while the offensive and defense benefits of the more expensive combination seems to be negligible (For those of you who argue that Godswords hit higher, my personal experience is that whips have much higher damage per second). This is just my personal observation. While I can afford all of the above combinations, I feel they are really not worth it. On several Slayer tasks, people have gone so far as calling me a "Noob" for wearing Rune. This got me thinking... So I ask you... Why do you wear certain armor or use certain weapons? Is it really for the offensive or defensive capabilities? or Is it to show off your wealth?
  4. One word - Firelighters! Shame all us throw them away =)
  5. anyone wanting a redesign, please let me know. ive done a few houses for friends.
  6. cloud, mace and dagger too slow and have very little power. go with whip.
  7. Well on Slay (I notice you are experienced), the best set up is prosy, whip , dragon slayer gloves, and slayer mask. the dragon slayer gloves stack on mask bonus giving you 25% att throughout assignment. i rain down 30s and 40s constantly on both irons and steels. i range mithrils.
  8. Str elf, I have to agree with you. For me, the game is about enjoyment and being happy. While a party hat would be nice to have, it will mostly just sit in my bank. My house puts a smile on my face every time I teleport there (I do that after every slayer assignment). maulmachine, ill add you and let you in. i wont tell you what youll need to be effective in dungeon...but i think by looking at layout, you can come up with appropriate supples. cheers everyone for comments =)
  9. Rhupajiva's Mansion Welcome to my humble abode I recently maxed out my house (at 94 construction). This means I currently own everything that can be placed in a hot spot (including Steel Dragon and Demonic Throne \ ) Below are pictures of each room - I did not crop them so you can see the full layout of the house. I also included the major costs associated with each room. Please check them out and tell me what you think. I included an analysis of total costs at the end. I love seeing other peoples houses 8-) Also, if a Tip.It Mod sees this, I will be glad to host a Tip.it house party. I am not how I would organize this. 11. Rhupajiva's Construction and Slayer Blog- My dream home realized! Welcome to my humble abode Hey everyone. My name is Rhupajiva. I stated playing Runescape in June 2005 (at the end of my freshman year at the University of Pittsburgh). I am currently a first year Masters student at Carnegie Mellon University. I grew up in Pittsburgh and continue to live there (middle school through graduate school within one square mile). Go Steelers! I play this game for its sheer variety. The strong relationships I developed along the way also keep me active. Ill be posting on my Slayer and Construction goals in this blog. Ill be getting 99 slay in two months. I recently maxed out my house (at 94 construction). 12. I dont think Jagex takes short cuts like that. There are clear links described in this thread that disapprove the glitch theory. How come the carts in the Falador mine or at Coal trucks dont have daeyalt ore in it?
  13. Reading some of the great posts has got me thinking... A lot of questers have complained that some quest arcs (devious minds, ME2, Red Axe) have been long neglected. Maybe Jagex will make the 150th quest (I think we are on 142 now) a quest to end all quests (a little hyperbole i know lol) combining all of these arcs =)
  14. If you look on the World Map, the Whirlpool and the God Wars Dungeon are far away from each other...
  15. Every cart in the dungeon gives me this message. I found this interesting because Daeyalt ore is unique to the quest. There is no use for it outside of that quest.
  16. Hey everyone. I was killing Dunkelbestien (Dark Beasts in German :) ) when I noticed something interesting. There are several mine carts in the Temple of Light dungeon. They all seem to lead to dead end track. Until now, I had not noticed the blue ore place in it. I incorrectly assumed it was rune ore (due to the nearby rune rock). When I searched it, "Nothing interesting happened". When I examined it, however, I received this interesting message. As many of you avid questers know, Daeyalt ore is the ore mined beneath Myerditch (Legacy of Seergaze being the most recent quest in Vampyre quest arc). What is it doing in the Temple of Light? Mournings End Part III has been a long time coming. I hope this means there is a connection between the excavation the Elves are doing and the Daeyalt ore mined through slave labor by the vyrewatch. Cheers, Rhajiv
