Yeah. I did enjoy it while it was going on, and had made significant progress compared to the original first page. Who knows he might eventually change his mind though.
Sadly he has told me he is quitting the comic since he can only think of things for about the next 14 pages. This kind of disappoints me, but nothing I can do about it.
Well I have the page, but it was not inked before it was given to me, and I don't have the right type of pen. So I am going to have him ink it on Monday then give it to me since it is just to faint, and would not look good.
Thanks I found a pretty good font that I will use if I can figure out an easy way of doing the font bubbles as it is I have to use photobucket's tool for that.
Before we started on the comic this time around I had them write up the first 2 chapters now we have the first 3 chapters worth of comic done which really helps organize things. I found a new way of removing the junk on the scanned page for when I have to trace it using the mouse which makes it flow much better, combined with the way detail is done now is working out quite well.
He did not get a chance to pass me the comic today before leaving school to get his license so that means a double update next week. Sorry for the delay but it will be worth it.
Heh this is funny, he does various small comics to work on his styles. He doesn't really read other web comics and he had never even heard of YOSH, but one of his mini comics basically had exactly the same background only it was a nuclear disaster instead of magic even had a murderous penguin.
Ok, we have twisted the plot apart and entirely reassembled it, and have written out the first 2 chapters so it has thought put into it just wait till Sunday =)
The main character is Blaze. As for what they are fighting for see page 3 last panel. Yeah the artist drew that panel as pure text it annoyed me greatly. I will be sitting down tomorrow and setting some goals for him to do which should help with improvement. I still wish I had a tablet. Expect more action in the weeks to come.
