Current Status: OFFLINE, and will be without RS for a week, but will still post on forums. Here is my blog to 30,000,000 Fishing Exp. Please enjoy your read and do not feel obliged to post. A little bit about this account. Scroll down to next section if you can't be bothered to read. Well, as some of you may know, I got veeeery bored of playing RS with my main account 'Tenbroya'. So I decided to make a new account called 'I_Nihilist_I'. The account went well for the first couple of weeks, after mining 1,000 rune essence I merchanted it (not a good way to merchant #-o) Until I had ~5k ess (took ages). But that was when it all went wrong, after the password leak, I found out the hard way about why not to use the same password on forums as on RS because both of my accounts where locked. Although entirely demoralising, I am pleased to see Tip.It and JaGEx working together to prevent my account from being hacked/stolen. Now, the only barrier was to unlock my accounts. I had a very big problem because I never bothered to set any recovery questions or bank PINs (foolish I know :wall:) I think I had a total of 59 failed recovery attempts before I finally found my Membership Payment receipt. Thank God :3> But that was only for 'Tenbroya', I really wanted my skill pure back too. So I tried logging in, and YAY!! it works, JaGEx must have noted that they have the same IP address and Password (not true anymore). Lesson Learnt! Recovery questions are now set on all accounts! Now, after that little fiasco, I am back and with vengeance!! (basically a few insane goals and such 8-)) Method For the past few weeks since regaining control of my account I have been buying and selling feathers on F2P worlds and the RS Forums (like merchanting but needs little or no cash to start off with) I now have a total of around 550,000 feathers which I plan to use up completely in the next 6-12 months. Given that each feather will give me a minimum of 50 exp (exp gained from catching a trout). Minimum Exp Gain: 550,000 x 50 = 27,500,000 exp Maximum Exp Gain: 550,000 x 90 = 49,500,000 exp In order to see what Exp I am likely to get I will use an approximation as to the ratio of Trout-Salmon. I have found so far that I usually catch around 1/3 salmon and 2/3 trout per load. Projected Exp Gain: ((550000 / 3)*(2*50) + ((550000 /3)*90) = 18,333,333.3® + 16,500,000 = 34,833,333.3® Exp More Calculations: \ Average Play Time Per Week: 7 Hours Average time to fish 1k Feathers: 1/2 Hour (estimate, will experiment timings soon) Amount Fished per Week: 14k Feathers Weeks needed to complete goal = 550,000 / 14,000 = 39.3 Weeks = ~ 10 Months The Shilo Village Option As a lot of you will know, Shilo Village is by far the fastest place to fly fish in the whole of RS, conversely it is a very hard quest to do without levelling up combat once! Which leads me to the decision should I sacrifice maybe 1 or 2 combat levels for this. My conclusion is definately yes because without Shilo village my goal would probably take 1-2 months longer!!! Any tips regarding the completion of Shilo Village at level 3 Combat are welcome and greatly appreciated!! I have also started to gather information on Shilo village quests as well as thinking up new ways of defeating the skeleton and ghosts. Got about 2k more fish fished. Fairly happy with results. Day2: 26th October 2006 Just started fishing again today, aming to get 3-4k fish done which will bring me to over 60 62 fishing. Final Note: If you have read all of this, I commend you! Good Luck with that. If I were you I would use pest control to get Strength up to 99 then use more PC points to raise HP up to scratch.
