  1. Guild Application Name: Melkolmr Investment history: None, although I used to merchant Verac's armor. Have I read the rules, do I understand the purpose: Yes, I feel I have a good grasp on the purpose of the guild and rules.
  2. I am also still confused. In the example, 90k runes are sold. Now, am I selling the 90k runes? It seems as though I'm trying to estimate it, but I absolutely cannot see how this can be done using the 1x method, which gives me only the price at which a given, specific transaction takes place. In short, I'm not sure where the number of runes sold is coming from.
  3. What method are you using to gather the data used in the projection formula? Are you selling the nature runes in the example yourself?
  4. Congratulations on being so remarkably right. I find it hilarious that the parts you were wrong about were the parts you were TOO OPTIMISTIC about! Don't let the moron detractors get to you. You looked at the evidence, came up with a theory, and proposed it. They acted like [wagon], and you turned out to be right. You earned the right to laugh at them by enduring their taunts and coming out correct.
  5. Many people do NOT feel that what we've lost is in any way balanced by what Jagex has tried to introduce, for many good reasons. It may be your opinion that nothing much has been lost, but an innumerable number of players couldn't disagree more. For some players, what has been lost was ALL that made the game enjoyable. For others, the game was based around a level of freedom that is now forbidden. Secondly, how often does Jagex actually listen? Less than would be pertinent. Maybe you don't think this ruins the game. I disagree.
  6. For me, the appeal of a game like Runescape has always been the chance to interact openly with other players, to acquire money and new, cool items and use them, and explore the world. Now, however, cooperation is severely limited to the point of being dead, and trade is stagnating too. Not yet, mind you, but riddle me this: come January, when these changes are implemented, why would people buy much of anything? To make the money TO buy something you have to spend so much time and effort now that you're better off MAKING IT YOURSELF. Some people have said this is good, because they get materials and make things, then sell them. But WHO THE HELL WILL BUY in light of this? The market is going to slow to a crawl. In addition, most items are pretty much useless now. Why does a God Sword matter? Or the (already pretty crappy) whip special? These things were useful for PKing, and that's a wasted art now. These items are next to worthless now. They're not good for showing off, because they don't mean you've played smarter or worked harder, they just mean you've been grinding levels longer. The rares market is over, period. It's going to be flat out too hard to get the money to buy many of them, and no one who spent hundreds of millions on a party hat is going to sell it for much less. Runescape, sadly, will not die. But I can't see it being a sustainable game. The economy, for the reasons I've stated, is going to be pathetically weak, and many players like myself just won't see the point in such a restrictive game. It isn't going to die, but it can't live either - Runescape is officially undead. So funny that real world trading will still happen, isn't it? These people make their money doing this, and they're going to find a way to keep making their money. Now they'll sell accounts out-of-game instead of items in-game, and hell, these people are dedicated, I'm sure they'll find plenty of other ways too. Wanna stop RWT once and for all? There's only one way - end Runescape. Otherwise, stop punishing the honest players.
  7. The atrocity of these updates, to me, warrants a complete revision of this year's new features. I liked it much better this time of year in 2006.
  8. Fine, if you enjoy it, you pay for it. Most of us disagree.
  9. You know, pronouncing that as any LITERATE person would, I can't find any offensive meaning.
  10. I doubt it will be fixed, because of the tremendous arrogance Jagex shows towards its customers, and because of the unbelievable number of players who will march in lockstep with these absurd restrictions. I've been a major apologist for Jagex in the past. But this is too much, even for me.
  11. If you're not willing to go through a few steps to try to test a suspected autoer, don't report them. -Talking to them is a way to test, of course. Also, see if their private chat is on and try to communicate with them through that. -CHECK THEIR STATS. If they have a whole bunch of skills listed in the high scores they are probably NOT bots. If it's one at 70 and the rest aren't ranked the odds are better that they are. If they are level 4, named "ghd75k5" with 70 woodcutting and nothing else, wear the default gear and will not respond to any stimuli, you've done all you can to give them a chance to prove their self and you reporting them wouldn't be unreasonable. Beyond that, you can't do anything, and it's up to Jagex to work it out.
  12. Thanks. Tried bowls... wow, that's tedious! Decided on amulets, but after selling them to the general store, the average price I got for each was a bit over 37 coins. Any other tricks to turn my gold into... gold?
  13. I've got a few hundred gold bars cluttering up my bank and I was wondering what I could do with them to make some good money. Any ideas?
  14. Perhaps the intricacies of this activity escape me, but I'm pulling in something like 40 chinchompas over a decent amount of time. I'm hunting in the woodland area, is there perhaps a better way to place traps to increase my numbers?
  15. Try PMing them. Most bots don't have private chat turned off, so if you add them and it shows them as online, send them a message. You can be certain they got it, and you're not really culpable if it turns out (yeah, right) that it wasn't a bot because you tried very hard to get in touch with them to make sure they weren't macroing.
