  1. Got to 60 Firemaking with my Lumby method. Now off to train STR
  2. ya its more of a tip, but i didnt see any guides out there, so i thought i'd post it. and i didnt think about only being on F2P, your right, it wouldnt work for fletching, but still saves you a ton of money. I dont really think it would much faster at all if you bought them from a player.
  3. I'll test that out, thanks. my pure is just for fun, after i met my goal. i still get around 130-140k a day on my main, i get way to bored or annoyed if i do more. i could get 300k a day if i focused more, but id go insane lol.
  4. New Location added: Rimmington Are you one of those who are buying their way to 99 firemaking? Are you buying Willows? You need to burn 144,679 willows to get from 30-99 firemaking. When you buy them all at 30ea, which is common price, you end up paying 4,340,370gp. Some say that's not bad for a 99 skill, but I can save you even more. What would you say if I told you I could get you to 99 Firemaking by only spending 1,736,148gp. Would you be interested? Then you can save you millions with no extra effort. I guarantee no extra effort. Are you interested now? Then read on! And it's all F2P!!! **I'm not good with HTML, so this will be pretty bland, it will have pictures though. This is my first guide, so let me know what I can do better** What you need to know 1. Willows give 90 exp per fire made. 2. Average cost of willows from draynor by the thousands is 30ea. (You may be able to get them cheaper, or more expensive, but I'm going off this.) 3. 144,679 Willows needed from lvl 30-99 at 90exp each is 13,021,068 Exp 4. By spending 1,736,148gp, you are spending 1gp for every 7.5Exp(7.4999758085140206940882920119713 to be exact) with this method. 5. This method will work to its full intent on a F2P World. 6. Level 30 is the level to start burning Willows, just in case :P . Let's get started. The Effort Needed Without this Method 1. Normally you have to figure out how many Willows you need for you desired lvl. 2. Then you raise the money for that amount, which isn't hard being that Firemaking is the cheapest skill to raise if you are buying it from the start. 3. Then you need to stand around in draynor or look around forums until you find a seller with your desired amount. Or in some cases, part of the amount, so that you can buy more when you have more money later. 4. Once everything has been purchased, you then need to find a nice bank to camp at and burn your logs until level 99. A nice bank with a nice expanse right outside the door. Not hard really. 5. You have now spent upwards of 4M if you bought all your logs at once. Now for the Much Cheaper Method, and Maybe Faster 1. So now you need to figure out how many Willows you need, which I can't help you with. You're on your own. 2. Gather the money needed, and plan to only spend 12gp per log. I would choose a somewhat crowded World, there are more Willows this way. Now you have TWO options at this point: Location 3. Head off to the Lumby OR Rimmington Gen Store. This picture is the Lumb Gen store at 5 in the morning US Central, when hardly anyone is on, but I usually see upwards of 20k willows in there on a normal busy day. This picture is the Rimmington Gen store at 8:30pm Us Central. As you can see, Rimmington is much better. Rimmington is a known powercutting site. 4. They are all priced at 12gp, which is where the much cheaper route comes in. 5. You might say, "but now I have to sit here buying them one load at a time." This is not the case. You can buy them right out of the store and burn them there, it's no different than withdrawing them from the bank and burning them. It requires the exact same amount of effort. 6. There is plenty of room right outside the Gen Store to burn, just make lines. Lumb There is also a nice long line spot running from the water to the Gen store, right north of the Woodcutting cape guy. A quick reference picture of burning lines provided by J. Ceasar Rimmington You can start a fire line at these two spots, marked by the fires. They seem to be the best spots I can find closest to the door. Also some burning lines provided by the good J. Ceaser Helpful Hints and Tips ~~Sometimes there will be a peron cutting trees while you are there. You can sometimes negotiate for a lower price that 12gp. Afterall, they are getting even lower pay from the Gen store, and they might settle to sell you loads as they cut them. This will save you even more money. There are more cutters online in Rimmington though, so check there first. ~~Having two tinderboxes in your bag can also cut down on burn time per load. You can place a box near the bottom, and one near the top of your inventory to reduce having to scroll far to burn. You can save precious time on your way to 99 FM. So there you have it, I've been doing this for a few weeks now and I couldn't be happier. I'm saving tons of money, which I can spend on farming or other skills. This method can also be applied to fletching, as there are normal logs and Oak logs too, but only if you can find a members world with a full Gen store. Please post what you think and any typos or mis spellings. Thank you guys. Feel free to add ideas and if i like them, I'll add them.

  7. nicely done! only things i saw wrong were: it looked like the bear was farting on guthan(lol jk) the mole had a bad outline, which i understand is hard sometimes, ive tried. and also the angle of the Dagg mother was off but now you know what to work on! nicely done tho, made me laugh. oh and the chat was off, the chat showing ingame should have been at the bottom of the chat window. but otherwise nicely done
  8. Feb 14, 2007: Starting Exp: 3,771,035 Exp (lvl 86) Exp at end of day: 3,923,427 Exp (lvl 86) Goal Exp for day: 3,891,035 Exp (lvl 86) Total Exp gained today: 152,392 Exp Approx. Kills: 1,523.92 Notes: finished over my goal, I wanted to stay until my next lvl which was only 60k away, but I'm tired and hungry and the mouse on this computer is extremely buggy and it's making me mad. Goodnight
  9. actually there now i closer cooking source to a bank. since they added the bank in lumby, i see lots of high lvls cooking there instead. there are 3 or 4 log respawns right next to the bank door so there is always a fire going now. i dont think we should AOW it... then there will never be any tuna in the store lol
  10. so it may not be two weeks? why is everyone busting at him for it? ya im sure it can be done, but if you dont want to play 24/7, and just work on it at a fast pace but keep a social life, you could do it in a month. thats still incredibly good for 1-99 in that short a time. its taking me 2 months just to get from 85 to 99 str. 1 months is not that long guys seriously... and about the transportation part. i think its fine, do you guys really need to know how to get around? now i may be wrong because im still stuck on F2P until the end of next month so i havent even gotten to look at hunter, but surely the hunting ground are marked and not hard to navigate? but yes very nice guide, could use a bit more cleaning up but it looks great! i would try summerizing it all into a small quick chart or something, kind of like the big tip.it guides do. you know the little thingy: 1-10: train here 1-20:train here 20-40: train here etc etc if you could work out one of those, it'd be complete for quick reference. thanks man, ill try this out once im back on members
  11. wow, i was just looking at the exp differnce on those goals. i need like 12.9mil to get a 51 lvl skills to 99, yet my 72 skill only needs 12.1m not much of a difference? i get about 150k exp in str a day, so by that logic, i would be able to get a 51 str to 70 in a few days. if only it was that easy to raise it the next 20 lvls :,,,( its gonna take me about 2 months to raise the next 20 lol
  12. bump, almost done for the day, one more load of food and ill go work on my ranger pure. also posted my goals for the next 99 skills i want in my sig. i worked out i will need to cut 180k willows for 99 woodcutting, then burn about 143k of those to get 99 firemaking. then ill fletch the rest of those and go from there. thats all in this next year, i hope to have these 3 skills to 99 by Dec. Str, WC, and FM
  13. finished for the day, hit my goal, gonna go work on my n00b ranger, God Has Aim
  14. ok so i tried it and posted it in my blog, i took this right out of my blog for your guide.
  15. well i just found out a very cool piece of info. If the store is full of lobs, as well as tuna, use the lobs first. here are the prices to sell and buy IF the store is so full, the price is set. buy raw lobs at 45gp sell cooked at 60gp price loss is 15gp buy raw tuna at 30gp sell cooked at 10gp price loss is 20gp SOO! if there are lobs in the store, it is more cost effective to cook those instead of the tuna, but i would do both. this is only if you do not burn lobs, for example if you are 74 or higher. Skate add this in there EDIT: no wait... hang on i didnt think this through all the way... when i sold the cooked lobs, there were no lobs in the store so you actually gain money. so if you see tons of raw lobs, you can cook a batch and sell them to gain a few gp, as well as the exp, then it becomes noneffective to cook the lobs. so i would try cooking a batch of lobs at the start of a new world for an extra bit of EXP
  16. Finished Str for the day, I made tons of Exp, I went way over my goal. I am usually up for a few more hours, so I decided to train cooking for awhile with a method I learned from a guide here on tip.it for F2P'ers. My current Cooking Exp is 1,249,409 and it is 2:27am, lets see how much Exp I can make with this method. Credit for this method goes to Skatepank, URL here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=538884 EDIT: finishing EXP is 1,309,989 at 3:26am. so that put me at 60,580 Exp in one hour. I think it is because this last at night hardly anyone is on so the store are not very full. i will try again tomorrow night and see if i have any luck.
  17. having at least 10 of each phat and having lots of crackers that first week, then slowly trading them off for stuff. traded my last ever green phat for full rune, because at that time it was worth it. if i only knew.... :boohoo: :( :boohoo:   :boohoo:
  18. i have never spent more than a week at a time on one skill besides maybe combat, but that was with slayer or taking many breaks, so it really wasnt one skill. but i just started a 2 month long spree to lvl 99 STR. nothing but flesh crawlers. ill be bored out of my mind. i will only take one day breaks every 2 weeks, otherwise ill get distracted. and im doing this all F2P... we'll see how well this goes. i give it two weeks before i get super bored and give up lol
  19. hmmm.... id say lobs would only be good if there is someone else doing the same thing on that server. then lobs would be fine. nice guide tho, i will def use this method
  20. :-k Who told you about them ? ;) lol lol hmmmm i dont know! but hes a good guy!
  21. there ar swordfish but u 'll loose way more money, so stick to tuna. Good luck on 99 strenght tho! ahh true. how much more do you buy and sell the raw and cooked lobs to store? if its not much over, i might do that. i dont mind spending too much money.
