    Hey 'Scapers.

To start off with I haven't really been on Runescape much lately and it is getting a bit hard for me to get on and play...but...

    Are you being a Tipiter?

You know like back in the good old days when everyone would just hang around in Edgeville and socialise with other Tipiters - do we still do that today?

It seems that Runescape is turning into a big skillfest, with everyone training for hours on end to be the best. Do you ever just stop training and go around Runescape saying "HYT!" and meeting with your fellow Tipiters? We skill hard, then we party hard. :).

I would love to see a sense of community brought back into Tipit, it seems as though it is getting a little dull here.

So go out and meet some people! Head to Edgeville or even Castle Wars on world 99 or world 7 for F2Pers and meet up with some Tipiters. Have a blast and meet some new friends! :)

    Whaddayas reckon?

    [/hide]

I use w99 from time to time, but I don't usually use it while slaying. I use a crowded world. Clan chat is better to use anyway than going all the way to w99 edgeville just to end up not knowing anyone there.

Also hyt people from time to time on w99, usually bsc'ers \'

  2. My hope for PvP worlds is no level restrictions. I want my level 136 combat to be able to count for something, and go around one hitting level 3s and 10s... so much more fun than taking a half hour to kill another 136...

Quote from Jagex's "Future PVP Updates" News article:

"Attack any player within a certain level of your own. Level range depends on the area, similar to the old Wilderness levels."

Would be ridiculous any other way.

  3. Price manipulation using the ge is entirely Jagex's fault. Obviously they couldn't create a decent system. The grand exchange is just begging to be manipulated. I fail to see how this is bad, evil, or whatever [cabbage] you people are saying. The only time I buy armour/weapons is when I want to keep it. That's the best way to do things. Also when I can make a suitable profit out of it (like I did with these recent item fluctuations).

  4. I read the Legend of Arrav part I, II, III, and IV, and made some quick notes, a summary, and quotes on it. Was a fairly quick read and was pretty interesting. :P

Good amount of notes hidden: SPOILERS on the story if you want to read it yourself.

[hide=]Anonymous author, reprinted from the scroll named Arrav of Avarrocka, the Hero of Men.

    Original date of writing unknown

.Arrav of Avarrocka, Curse of Goblins, Hunter of the White Stag, Child of Sun and Moon

    Zemouregal of the Mahjarrat tribe

Arrav was a special child, his name came from a goblin curse, as he was the curse of goblins, he was a great hunter and warrior,

Arrav met Zemouregal in his sleep and the elders sent him on a quest to recover a shield

He took food for 7 days, met 3 people arguing in a house, went onward

At the foot of an icy peak he encountered the imcando dwarves

We are of the clan Imcando, known far and wide for our skills with weaponry,

arrav thought the dwarves were hiding something about the shield

"We know of this being who calls himself Zemouregal. For many years he has attempted to gain control of this shield, for it is a mighty artefact that will bring him great power against all races should he gain possession of it. Long ago we vowed that this must never happen, for we dwarves have memories of the time when gods walked this land, and do not wish to see such devastation return. Although we know you to be a man of great honour and courage, you cannot defeat Zemouregal, and we must never allow him the chance to gain control of such a powerful object. I fear that he has manipulated you and those you obey, and must ask you to leave as your continued presence here serves only to alert him to our settlement."

Arrav settled in a cave after wandering, and defeated a beast after 2 days of fighting, and wanted to go back home to Avarrocka(varrock)

When he arrived Avarrocka was burnt to the ground!

Finding the few survivors hidden in the tribe's sacred place to the east, Arrav took the strongest of the men and the swiftest of the boys, and set forth west, to the land that the goblins had claimed dominion over.

He found peace with the goblins, and no war would come again, they would also trade with each other.

He knew if Zemouregal came, he would not accept peace though.

He had a dream with Zemouregal saying he will come and destroy Avarrocka and all of mankind, Arrav awoke and ran off.

Arrav went to speak to the Imcando Dwarves chief.

The chief said he will destroy dwarves too, and arrav was the only one who could stop this evil, so they gave him the shield.

War began and skeletons and zombies were there and arrows and shadow, etc.

the chief said: 'The spells of this shield shall protect you from any magicks the Mahjarrat can summon. This is why Zemouregal wants it: if he could possess it he could defeat any of his tribe. The Mahjarrat are a solitary and jealous race and always desire to topple each other, to enslave one another. Take this shield with you and Zemouregal shall have no power over you.'

Arrav sacrifices himself to save his village/city of Avarrocka.

Zemouregal says he will be back someday, and kills Arrav.

    Final Paragraph of Part IV:

We remember Arrav for his sacrifice. We remember that his fate was not of his choosing, and we remember him as an example to all of us; for though he was stronger and faster than any other mortal, his strength of spirit and his compassion can be that of any man. We remember Arrav, too, because we must always be prepared for his return, sad though it shall be.

Arrav finally broke from the army and looked upon Zemouregal. The mahjarrat was not as tall as Arrav, but in his hand held a sword made of shadow and smoke.[/hide]

  5. i can't check it out but i think you need 81 summoning for the bear, because it's like a arctic bear right? and those r 71 summoning so you need 10 lvls higher to talk to them. i'm not sure! but maybe someone could try it out?

I can try it out, just wait a bit. 86 summon ftw=)

And by try it I mean bring my own polar bear, because I talked to it yesterday with my 86 summon and didn't get a thing out of him.

EDIT: Here is something I found on the RSOF:

"When you first arrive he asks if you are the snack he ordered, and never mentions what sort of snack he would like apart from yourself.

Perhaps a bug or perhaps some future update, or a missed clue as to what snack to give him to look after the beacon. "

Maybe we need to give him some kind of meat.

Not content with updating one skill this month, we've decided to reignite Firemaking too. In Varrock, King Roald has become increasingly wary of the evil eyes casting greedy looks at his city, so he'll be taking precautions: fourteen warning beacons, running from the River Salve to the western end of the Wilderness. The problem is, no one will be available to test them out, so - surprise, surprise - you'll become the most suitable candidate.

So begins All Fired Up, a sizzling new quest that acts as a simple and very short tutorial for beacon lighting. What can you do with large cauldrons full of sticks, you may ask? Well, your task, if you should choose to accept it, will be to light as many as possible at one time, offering you an entertaining and alternative method for training your Firemaking - oh, and the rewards will make you the toast of firemakers everywhere...

    ^150th quest.

^143rd quest. Perhaps you should count them next time. ;)

^144th Quest. Perhaps you should count them next time. ;)

^143rd quest. Perhaps you should realize that the tutorial quest doesn't count as a quest.

^144th quest. Perhaps you should realize that the tutorial quest gives a quest point and therefore DOES count as a quest.

^143rd quest. Perhaps you should realize that what Jagex says, goes. And Jagex says it doesn't count.

They could have always made a mistake on that :P . But I won't further this.

Damn exceptions, now I might have to wait 1 more quest for the epic one. -.-

  8. Pointless to make it untrimmed on purpose, what did you do with those melee stats, pc?

    Fail.

Look at you, if you were 98 hunter and 98 thief you could easily get 99 hp untrimmed.

1 99 at 137 combat is amazing. try to get 98 in every other stats xD

I thought he just got 99 hp, and I thought that was impossible with his high stats. Then I looked him up and realized he has 19m hp exp. I still think it's pointless to do these small variations and call it a greater achievement or even a different one -.-

  9. Nice guide, but doing everything just really isn't worth the time to me. Trees, fruit trees, and herbs are all I do.

I don't believe the Harmony patch is worth it, but you can take a charter ship to Mos Le Harmless then you can go to Harmony.

  10. Nice job on fixing them all: Here are the 22 locations with ingame pics, 11 old, 11 new:

  11. There are also 11 original locations, if you add them then it would come to a total 27 spots. That would be a good guide to add to the miniquests section of tipit then.

EDIT: I have pics of these spots, I will pm them to you so you can add them and make a guide to add to official site. You can make those yellow dot map pics of the spots so it will all look the same.
