There is no focal point or depth to the background, the colour don't suit the render at all. The text is hard to read as there is a lot of white on the BG. The render does not suit the rest of the signature. I mean a Gothic font with Kirby? You need to work on blending renders or just choosing a different one.

Burn and sponge tools? Adding scratches and texture to the skin is easy. 1px brush with angle jitter.

Can you find a render. The image you got is just an image, not a render. A render is a pre cut image. There two seperate jobs.

Feathering wouldn't really work. Maybe duplicating the C4D layer 3 times and setting the top to gaussian blue of 4px on lighter and the middle to soft light, then lower the opacity of the one on the bottom. Just try variations of that.

I just think it looks a bit amateurish imo, using a cloud filter on colour balances would be a better suggestion, then building up 2 or 3 layers of gradient maps. Sorry if I sound stuck up, I do a lot of design work.

Not best to specify colour when the colours should be two prominent colours from the render itself.

If anyone would like to pick a render first: Use Planetrenders, Animerenders, Clantemplates, Renderworld, Gamerenders to find a suitable image.

If you need help. Ctrl and click the layer. Select, Feather, 20px (dependent on render and signature size) Shift+ctrl+I (Reclick on the layer if you have to) Delete.

Try using cloud gradient maps, and blending the C4D would be nice as well.

I don't play RS anymore, but I will make signatures for people. I can do C4D if you're interested but I like to stick to smudge. Some older examples of my work. If you're interested in a signature, please specify: Text - Main text, sublines Render - Image to be used. Style - C4D, smudge, vector etc. Without sounding too arrogant I'm not an amateur signature maker :? but please make my job easier by filling out the above, thanks.
