As people above have said, the only truely free way to level construction is Clay or Limestone. However, the cheapest way to get experience is Oak Planks. Oak planks are the most efficient at giving experience for their cost... Oak Planks = 500gp Oak Planks = 60xp 500gp / 60xp = 8.3333...gp/xp If you made your own planks, that would be 4.16666...
