In paint, JPGs are always low quality. Saving as a .PNG is pretty much the only way to get reasonably good results (in paint).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Its pretty bad. I would practice a bit more before posting again, or at least try adding more detail and shading.

Um...aside from saving it as .png you should add more to the scene...mebbe trees or a moon/sun, something.

 

 

 

Adding the moon or sun would then give u a reason to shade which is problem number 2

 

 

 

It would also be cooler if you could actually see the mage cast the spell

 

 

 

But you have the proportions down pretty good
