March 16, 200719 yr Author Why not post the 'reference' so everyone can go "ooooh wow he traced a photograph how amazing." line art is nothing to me... what i care about is the finished product and the shading if i wasted a bunch of my time i could of done it free hand but there wasn't any point if i could just get it done quick... look at my current sig i did that all freehand no tracing involved as my computer graphics teacher said... in the real world, time is money the faster and higher quality your piece you have the more its worth so use all the resources you have New Sig Coming soon!
March 16, 200719 yr Author added a few minor changes threw on a blank background and horizon line New Sig Coming soon!

March 16, 200719 yr It's okay to trace photographs and such. Tracing helps develop early artistic skills. As one gets better, one loses the need to trace. If he wants to trace, there is no problem with it. It looks nice so far, the dithering isn't perfect, but you can fix that later. do u wow?Cassiius|Level 70 Night Elf Preist|RunetotemSambora|Level 37 Tauren Shaman|BurningLegion

March 16, 200719 yr Author well i drew one cloud and added a little shading to the sky there us only going to be 1 other cloud like that and the rest will be more "wispy" i guess you could cal it New Sig Coming soon!
March 17, 200719 yr Author i added a second cloud.. i dont like how it came out anyone know how to a cloud liek that better New Sig Coming soon!
March 17, 200719 yr I really like your work on the plane, I suggest mabey making a fan or something inside the turbines. And that first cloud by the right wing looks more like mountains at the moment. I think you should actually make it mountains, that would make it more interresting than just the clouds in the picture. Veni Vidi ViciI came, I saw, I conquered.Hail to the wiki! For all your information needs.

March 17, 200719 yr as my computer graphics teacher said... in the real world, time is money the faster and higher quality your piece you have the more its worth so use all the resources you have That doesn't mean trace images, it means work more efficiently and choose a medium that you work fast in. I guess you also missed the lesson on copyright infringement? =; A graphic artist will NEVER copy/trace/use artwork unless they have the rights to the piece. Nice attention to dithering and shading. Not much in terms of detail yet, but I guess that comes at a later point. Could use some soft outlines. I'd like to see you do this freehand. if your not gona post something useful dont post at all What a hypocrite!

New Sig Coming soon!
March 17, 200719 yr Old habits die hard. And copying photos is usually a bad habit for an artist. 1. It doesn't help you improve your freehand skills. Copying images won't make you a better artist. 2. The result shows more creativity and skill than you deserve credit for. 3. It's something that people could sue you over. 4. Artists and art appreciators like myself and Sharcoth don't like seeing copied artwork. 5. The original artist rarely gets the credit. They are the ones that put the time, effort and money into making a unique piece of art. and if it was for something important i wouldn't trace copy or whatever If the only time you design and create your own artwork is for something important, then your important pieces are going to be your worst pieces. It's okay to trace photographs and such. Tracing helps develop early artistic skills. As one gets better, one loses the need to trace. If he wants to trace, there is no problem with it. When learning, it's sometimes advised to trace certain shapes, such as the bone structure in the face. Whether this is helpful or not, it's something that should be done privately, purely to get a feel for the geometry. Nobody wants to see how good of a tracer you are. You are then meant to use your practices as a guide on how the shape is constructed. It has nothing to do with composition, colour scheme, or perspective. If you trace an image to the extent that it is exactly the same or very similar ot the original, then that's called copying, and it's fully punishable by law.
March 19, 200719 yr That looks wonderful.... Right now I'm very interested in aircraft and I really like this 787..... Great job!. ~MeNuWa
